Popular Post Kyle
Hey Wyrdos, While we were on break, Waldo took the opportunity to get some much needed beauty sleep. As it turns out, he’s a sleepwalker, a sleep-talker, and snores like a jet engine. When we got back in the office, we found him dangling from the scaffolding, sleep-singing Enter Sandman while playing an impressive air guitar solo. We haven’t woken him up just yet. Looks like Waldo’s a dreamer, but he’s not the only one. This week, we’re revealing that the Dreamer and his Nightmare crew have all grown up. It seems that Lord Chompy Bits’ Earthside exploration into the minds of the weak-willed and fearful during the Homefront event has proven bountiful. With Lilith out of the picture and Meridion focused elsewhere, Nytemare is finally ready to have some real fun. The Dreamer himself is a few years older and a few years wiser in Malifaux Third Edition. For years, he was safely tucked in his bed in his lofty mansion on Earth, but when the Burning Man came and brought with it a fire that engulfed all of London, his innocence was burned to ash as well. With the loss of his father, his dreams warped and became dark aspirations, and his imaginary friends have changed alongside his new ambitions. All boys grow up, but only one has a hungry Tyrant at his bedside. Check out the gallery to see the new models for the Nightmare crew. Speaking of growth spurts… Jeepers, Coppelius, have you been working out? What’s in those eyeballs? We’ll see you next week with the launch of the M3E Open Beta!
muraki
Wow, that's some amazing art. Can't wait to pick up this set!
MajorUndead
I really like the new look on the Alps. The grown up dreamer looks like he's ready to cause some trouble
WWHSD
I'm not a fan of grown up Dreamer. Although I never ended up getting him, it was The Dreamer that brought piqued my interest in Malifaux. The idea of a small boy and his imaginary friends unknowingly wreaking havoc on a world that he just thinks is in his dreams was fantastic and original that made Malifaux seem different than other games. The eerie cuteness of The Dreamer and his imaginary friends is lost in this new version which is a real shame. 1 10

Fixxer
I am very excited for this. Excellent. I, for one, really appreciate the creativity behind the look of Chompy. He's been practically the same the past 3 sculpts and I dig the bigger look and gaping maw. Fantastic work, I cant wait to see more crews and renderings.

Or is that thing behind Dreamer a daydream....
trikk
Alps and Coppelius are awesome. Chompy just looks like he didn`t exercise after eating everybody... Can we make it Waldo`s Daily, so we have more crews up ? 4
Boomstick
I'm so glad I held off on getting Dreamer previously. Cricket bat Dreamer is so much cooler. Chompy could loose a few pounds, but everyone else looks amazing!
retnab
Well he sure grew up! Love the Art, the Nightmares certainly are into their dark phase. Also I'd love to see more new art in future Waldo's weeklies!

That big belly is all diet. He definitely overestimated his daily carbs...
Durza
Looks like Coppelius has amassed a nice eyeball collection after all these years.
nomadicXnightmare
Wow! Regardless of my personal opinions on specific models, the new art is absolutely incredible! Well done! the Good: The Dreamer himself looks perfect and is nearly exactly how I envisioned him to look as an angry teenager. Very A Clockwork Orange meets Charles Dickens. Curious what the bugger at his heels is supposed to represent... a new Daydream? Or maybe a "diminutive" Chompy/generic nightmare kinda like we had for the ME2 sculpt? Coppelius is solid (no pun intended) and I dig his eyeball-filled man-purse. However, the Alps are the all-stars here and I hope they will be available to purchase as a 3-pack separately, 'cause I wantz them! the Bad: Chompy himself is very 'meh' to me. The art/render is impressive from a design/model perspective, but I don't much care for it myself. Apart from making continuous jokes about his "wider proportions", the lack of a lower jaw/fully defined head is... distracting to me. Dunno how else to describe it - it's just off. Also the general look/vibe of the crew, though impressive, is again just kinda 'meh' in my opinion when compared to the old aesthetic. There was a creepy innocence and unique, cohesive feel to the old crew that actually drew me to it (and Malifaux as a whole), which is obviously missing from this new incarnation. Dreamer's ME3 look feels like he has put down his old childhood toys and is now obsessed with superheroes, heavy metal and edginess lol Overall, I love the art and the dramatic shift in Dreamer's crew, even if it takes a little time to grow on me. This is certainly not your 'business as usual' Malifaux! 1

Stark
The WORST Chompy model ever. Dreamer, coppelius and alps on the opposite are great.
Kharnage
Yeah, dad-bod Chompy isn't my favorite, but that's okay, we can keep the old one and have his new rad friends 1
Maxooo
I'm glad i'm not the only one thinking that : the Render of Chompy looks really really off ... In the art they all look cool and menacing and the minis are gonna be great,i really like the 3 alps and coppelius !! but that Chompy lost all his flavor during the 3D render, i couldn't explain why, maybe proportions, maybe his "cute" eyes that make him look like a sad puppy or maybe because the current scuplt was so amazing that it is too hard to top ^^ So all in all, really great job but don't be mad at me neverborn players if i laugh at your new Chompy 🤣
longfanz
As others said: everything looks awesome but Chompy that is very ugly and very out of proportion :S 2
yool1981
The art is actually pretty good. I dislike the new Chompy very much though. All in all, I prefer the former Dreamer crew sculpts because of the childish creepiness that is now lost in M3E. It's OK, I don't care much I already have the M2E minis.
