Oh yeah! you got good eyes, couldn't see that but now that you say it, it may contribute to that "meh" feeling about the pose. I agree that he looks a bit static and also i find the cape a little too "GW thick" I find that the mask in the art and the one in the render both look cool ! I just wonder why they went a totally other direction with the style of it in the render but at least it still ended up looking gud

I found Ulix's GOld piglet 😮 so here's my 3 ss pledge I never tried such kind of challenge, i'm a real slow painter, and i'm irregular. One month i can paint 5 minis and then not paint for months and months, maybe this will help me. At least it already worked for this month, i've been lurking on this post for a few weeks, contemplating the idea of joining the challenge and it made me paint that quick and fun piglet. i didn't toutch my brushes for months, now let's this if i can keep this up

I might be wrong, its just what i guess from the render, at least that's what i already plan to do It's my way of saying "we've seen way worse" ^^, it doesn't mean: let's make the same mistakes again, but I'm at a point ( kinda bulletproof fiddly feets wise now lol ) where I prefer they let their imagination and creativity go free and make nice artistic scuplts; if i wanted big chunky heroic scale and easy to build minis i would play only GW ^^ but that's my personal take i understand where you coming from for sure !!! ps: we haven't seen the 2nd Spit Hog scuplt yet, so maybe the other one is "safer"

Yup ! exactly But I don't know if it's intentional, if it is fair enough... lore might explain it or who knows once i see it painted by Angel Giraldez the scuplt might start to grow on me lol Having said that i think it is just a bad job on the render, because he doesn't look that goofy in the art. Always been amazed at how close Wyrd makes their actual minis look like their concept art. So i guess just one small mistake becomes so evident ^^ No a big deal though, people can still use their old LCB if they already have one and the rest of the new scuplts seems really top notch! i like them

That's it ! i found what that Chompy render looks like to me : a Monster Inc Monster but ... when he's on a coffee break.. 😁 Hard to take him seriously after that ^^
