Popular Post Kyle
Wyrdos, We just released our Gen Con 2018 Newsletter, but if you don't receive our monthly newsletter (or hate clicking links and/or visiting our website), don't worry: I've got you covered. We're jumping off the top rope and bringing down an elbow drop of awesome onto this year's Tyrant Tournament at Gen Con. That's right; if you're one of the lucky qualifying entrants, you've got a chance to win yourself a Malifaux 2018 Champion belt. While it might not keep your pants up, this beauty will definitely look great draped on your shoulder or hanging triumphantly above your minis collection. But there's only one way to claim this prize: you gotta win. Make sure to bring your A-game so that you can rightfully claim that you're the best (of who showed up)! We've got a bunch of promotions that we're offering this year at Gen Con. You can find a list of our promos below: Get a FREE He-kome model (above) when you spend $100 or more (available in person and during online Gen Con sales). Get a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Mansion (below) when you purchase any 2 Edge of the Quarantine Zone Wyrdscape terrain boxes. The Mansion will be delivered to your provided address, at release (available in person and during online Gen Con sales - which will be automatically registered). Play a demo of The Other Side for a chance to win a gift box from one of the Allegiances, delivered to you at release. Get a raffle ticket for each $50 you spend for a chance to win one of the many goodies we'll have to offer at our raffle at the end of Gen Con! Every year, we like to offer something special at Gen Con, and this year's no different. While you might have already seen our preview of this year's NightMARE Gremlin box, we've still got a lot more to get excited about. There is one little thing we're doing differently this year. Like the color of the Burning Man's flames, our schedule is shifting a bit. The next Malifaux book won't be coming to Indianapolis. But don't worry - the sky's not falling. We've got some big plans for our friends across the Breach coming in the new year, and you'll be able to hear about those plans soon. You can find all of our Pre-releases in the Newsletter post on our website, but here's a glimpse of the Alt models we'll have during the big event: Above, we have Alt Rogue Necromancy, Alt Lenny, Alt Tannen and Graves, Alt Vanessa, and Alt Ototo! Are you ready for the best four days in gaming? We've got more announcements to share at Gen Con, and there's only one way to be the first to find out. If you're making your way to Indianapolis, why don't you make the trip to the Wyrd booth and say hello? We'll see you there!
the tick
Sweet! Love the alts. I think I'm glad to hear that Wave 6 isn't coming just yet. One question: I didn't see a price for the Gremlin Nightmare Ulix box? Is that deliberate? If not can we get a price on that box? Edit: Another question: I just noticed what appears to be "sleeping" gremlin at the hoofs of "Old Major"? What's going on with that? Did we get another alt Bayou who has imbibed too much 'shine?
Gnomezilla
I hope to see the Wyrdscapes boxes previewed before the sale, so I can stop squinting at the pictures from Origins trying to see what’s in what set. Also, what’s ‘Edge of the Quarantine Zone’—it’s not even listed in the tentative sale list? excited excited excited excited so this is what it’s like to anticipate GenCon sale
Nathan Caroland
Figures we missed putting that one there. Nightmare set - $75. That's a dead guild guard being eaten at the Nightmare's feet.
Mortarion
I noticed that both the Domadores de cadavres and Hinamatsu are listed as pre-releases on GenCon. According to the homepage they were supposed to be released in July. Does this mean that their normal release have been delayed again? Nathan Caroland
Don't believe so - probably a mistake in the grab, copy, paste of things.

Edge of the Quarantine Zone is the name used for the current Wyrdscape terrain set, such as the large buildings.
Adran
If I bought 1 of each of the wyrd scape sets, about how much table would that cover? Or alternatively, how many sets are needed for a malifaux table?

Or will there be some differences (as with McCabe vs Nightmare crew contents) Question 2 - will previous Nightmare crews also be available at Gencon? (apologies if this is an obvious question, it's my first time, be gentle)
WWHSD
Just in case anyone else remembers a "we're not going to be doing pre-release items during our sales" statement from Wyrd, it specifically excluded GenCon. It was from this post from Nathan.
Brandu
Question please: I see the Wyrdscapes buildings and other terrain features, but what about the base board pieces? Available later this year, or? I'm looking at getting 2ea of Abandoned Store, Solarium, and Haunted Spires because from what I have seen, these are mix and matchable... You'll have to wait till black Friday.

So basically it's an alt Guild Guard.🤣

TeddyBear
Alt models are spectacular! Pure Malifaux style! I like them, especially Ototo!
Artiee
Are the T-shirts on the store quality going to increase?
-Loki-
I love alt Tannen and Graves. I’m not a big Lynch fan so while I have them, I haven’t painted them yet because I find the aesthetic boring. Playing up their Nephilim and Woe characteristics was a good idea. Burly Nephilim Graves is great. But Tannen is fantastic and really uses the Malifaux creepy factor. The way the face is cracked around the escaping Sorrow and the legs are deflated like he was just a skin. Love them.
thebarbalag
Will the alts be available for sale after the con, like Nekima and Hungering Darkness, or limited releases?

Like those, they’re listed under ‘pre-release’ so I’m guessing yes.

green-n-dumb
Dunno may be it sounds salty but im scared that we dont get anything new. Yes, Wyrd have ToS but what do Malifaux players get? No balance changes (cuddling once a year Nico and Sandeep is not a huge work), no new models, no new book. Its like - if you want something new about Malifux - wait for uhhh...we dont know while and buy yourself some ToS. Realy sad and scared of stagnation. Burnin' Coal
Loving the alts...Hekome is also an amazing looking sculpt....have a feeling that alt Tannen is going to become my main Tannen

TOS isn’t even going to be at gencon aside from demo games. Most likely conclusion is we might be getting a 2.5E or 3E. They didn’t say we weren’t getting a new book, just it’s moved to next year. That jump might be needed to prepare a new edition.
(Keenan)
Consider me disappointed. The only alts i would have been interested in were Graves & Tannen and they just are kind of blah in my opinion. Admittedly I am partial to my Graves that I painted like Michael Clarke Duncan, and I think the original Tannen just gives the right impression of his personality. That said, the only model on that list that I'd be interested in is Gwyneth Maddox, and I can wait. Pretty disappointed that the models from a year ago aren't all available yet and we've been getting Monday previews for things that will come out 'sometime'. EDIT: I could see the alt Graves with wings and a sword make a good Nek-He-ma
