  1. Recalled training, Toshiro summoning Komainu off Embarking/Pork chop, Obsidian Oni, great minion choices, fire synergy if you want it... Partly theoryfaux as I haven't played her since I got hold of Porkchop/Inn, but was fun before and should be stronger now...
  2. Probably. I bought both of those kits way back when, so if they came with instructions they should be about somewhere ;I tend not to throw away those kind of things. Trouble is, I haven't come across paper instructions in a few years, so I can't recall where I used to put them. :-/ The plan for the weekend is to tidy up my hobby room, and if I get around to it I guess I'll find them. No promises though, work has been rather hectic and I need to work through large parts of the weekend...
  3. Not entirely correct; most if not all the early plastics had instructions. It at least all that I bought around that time did... They stopped with it sometimes before Crossroa I think, and cost and convenience was most likely the biggest factor...
  4. Hahaha, I'm in, though I have to admit I think even the noseless gremlins to have their own kind of charm... To be honest I think it's too late for TTB Hannah, and I have one from the Kickstarter, so I'm set myself. But I think it's unfortunate to have such hard limits to promotional minis. I hope if Wyrd relaunch Puppet Wars they will include rare goodies for Malifaux, but not keeping them impossibly rare. I don't think single miniatures selling for hundreds of dollars is good for any game in the long run...
  5. I for one would go all-in on that one... Especially if there were Malifaux cross-overs. Like foil cards for using puppets in Malifaux, maybe a special release of a model that would later see general release (aka Hannah; just would prefer if Wyrd didn't didn't marry to the promise of NEVER re-releasing it, would be fine if available through special sales later), or something similar...
  6. Damn you're right, didn't notice that in Kyle's photo! Now I'm getting my hopes up... :-)
  7. I'd just buy magnets off eBay, then you can find practically any size for next to nothing...
  8. Just get yourself a palette. Plastic one will do, but ceramic might be better. I use a white ceramic floor tile...
  9. With Puppet Wars Unstitched being more or less on life support for years, the original designer having left the company and Wyrd starting to unload some properties (Evil Baby Orphanage), the future of this game seems bleaker than ever. But IF Wyrd decided to market PWU more aggressively and produce more content and expansions, do you think it could have succeeded? It obviously didn't sell enough last time around, but expensive boardgame seem to be much more in vogue these days. With Wyrd having grown there might be more fans willing to try it. Maybe the passing of time will allow players disappointed with the release an re-release to come back? Could cross-marketing with Malifaux ensure that a future supplement would sell sufficiently to warrant release? I know the minis are amongst my all-time favourites, the concept ties in beautifully with Malifaux fluff, there should be unreleased digital sculpts on file somewhere (no secret inside, just me guessing), and it should be relatively easy to release something similar to a story encounter box with a TTB tie-in and Malifaux cross use. Could be an alternative set like the hare and tortoise, or new models (à la effigies) in Malifaux for the next wave, or even a nightmare set. What do you think, is it too late?
  10. Is it possible to add a drop down to see the total number of games/wins for each master? The win ratio can be expanded to see all masters, but not the field with the absolute numbers; they only show the top five Masters games played/Masters games won. Some stats currently are a little bit curious; Brewmaster (gremlins) bottom on win ratio whereas Brewmaster (Thunders) is top. Would be interesting to know the sample size for that one...
  11. I can't agree with most of the criticism of the errata, overall I think they've done a good job. This however is a very good point, I would have thought hard on the issue for a very long time looking at other options before removing a rule a characterful as Reckless in the roosters. To be honest I would much rather see a points increase, stat cuddle or something else, even to the point of making them not worth it. It's a little like Hoffmann looking Unexplained Connection (ability to hire Coppelius) from M1e; some rules (and models) add so much atmosphere to the game by simply existing that they should stay, even if that means cuddles in other departments a necessary for game balance...

But that's why it's important to have strong and important NPCs. We can't slowly develop masters, but we need superstronh characters in the universe that we don't know everything about. If Marlow and the Oyabun becomes playable we loose the NPCs that creates narrative interest...
  13. It won't go flying, it'll stay put due to the magnets. That's the beauty of it; you can literally hold the box upside down without anything moving. Clear plastic boxes should be stackable, (steel) toolbox come in all shapes, so should need to take any more space. Also, though you can play Malifaux with relatively few models it doesn't mean itself very well to a sell off before buying new approach, as different models will fit different situations. Not saying a foam case is wrong or anything, just saying the argument that models will be flying in magnetized boxes is wrong. Also, magnets lets you taylor something specific to your needs (literally any box can easily be magnetized), so is both more flexible, can be more space efficient, safer for the minis and better suited to big and hard to fit models. The downside is the (easy but still a little time consuming) extra work needed to fit models and cases with magnets/magnetic sheets...
  14. Can't disagree more, plastic boxes with magnetic sheets and magnet are to me infinitely more organised than foam. Sure, you can have one crew/faction per foam sheet, but you'll quickly need more than one, and then it's so much harder to keep track. With clear plastic you can see which minis are where from the outside, and magnets are a lot safer in the paintings than even the softest foam. Not to mention magnets can accommodate literally every shape of miniature just as well. If a load of boxes seem messy, you can always go the toolbox route, but then it's harder to find a clear box. On the other hand, a steel box will let you get away without having to buy magnetic sheets, and magnets in the bases will be sufficient...
  15. You need 66% Wyrd miniature OR original sculpt. If you sculpt a mini 100% yourself and it's clear what it represents, it should be fine... As per GG you can't have more than 1/3 other companies' stuff...
  16. This is what I use (but trying out the lemonene version due to less smelly), and while I love the glue it has left some foggyness on a few transparent minis. There are special clear plastic cement med for the scale model guys, and I've bought it but not tested it yet... T.
  17. Hm, any chance there will be a bundle of the upgraded cards on Wargame Vault? An Errata January 2017 bundle? Would be very convenient, even if the savings were slim... I imagine there will also be a certain interest in getting previously errata'd cards in a bundle; perhaps there should always be two errata bundles up on the site: "Latest wave of errata" and "All M2E errata up until this point"... By the way, will the Wave 4 generalist updates be released on WV? As a bundle? Not because I don't want to buy directly from Wyrd, but would be convenient to get it all in one place...
  18. Luckily it's easier to desaturate bright paints than to make desaturated paints brighter! Check out the tutorials here, especially the Colour theory tut should be useful:
  19. Do you have an idea of how much you're looking for? Tight on funds before Christmas, but might still be interested...
  20. Hi, I'm in Riga in Latvia for the week for the Floorball World Cup, and I thought I'd check out any Malifaux-friendly store that might be here. So far I haven't found anything, and Google hasn't been very helpful. Anyone from Riga with local knowledge on here? A good board game store would be great as well...
  21. How about a voodoo zombie that replaces any other gremlins model? Sacrifice target gremlins to summon a zombie gremlins... Should be slow, tough and dumb, and maybe mostly be beneficial targeting half-deaf gremlins... Or possibly bury target gremlins to summon voodoo zombie gremlins, zombie lasts 1 turn (trigger for another), when it dies the original pops back out. Would allow for a different kind of summoning, where you could summon extra ap/activations while protecting your crew, but not add extra models to swarm the board. I feel like this could very much be a new limited upgrade for Zoraida rather than a new master though... If we are to get a new master I would like to see a dual faction master, probably gremlin-arcanist or something, but the tri-chi, swamp fiend and voodoo sub-factions/themes could use a few new models as far as I'm concerned...
  22. Depends on how, what and why. If you copy a detail for a conversion of another Wyrd model for personal use, I don't think you'll get into any trouble. If you produce parts for sale I can almost guarantee you'll get into trouble. Anything inbetween is a grey area...
  23. Get Deck Tan. It's awesome to mix with base colours to get highlights. It's like a bleached bone, only cold. I also use the metallic air rust for a lot of mixes, the same with air metallic wood (but takes a lot of layers, really poor coverage!). I'll see if I can have a look over my rack tomorrow which colours I tend to use most from Vallejo. In general I tend to prefer Army Painter for the bulk of my standard colours, but Vallejo have some tones that are just amazing in the right spots...
  24. You could try the sub-forum, but proxies tend to be very meta-specific, so kinda hard to say what your group would deem fitting... Love all the Freebooter minis, Freebooter's Fate is my major game outside of Malifaux. A little bit hard to see what they should be used for, I tend to feel Klocke's style is so unique they tend not to mix well with other lines, but the cultist models are awesome, so should be used as much as possible!!
