  2. From the little I have understood, Yan Lo revolves around Lightning Dance. This makes him a good pick for Ply for Information, and since GG18 has a lot of schemes that depend on enemy positions, in a bunch of other pools as well. I like to imagine Yanny as Muten Roshi who starts out feeble but slowly gathers his powers to go Super Saiyajin on his opponents.
  3. That's wrong, Mech's scheme drop trigger used to be, and its card draw still is.
  4. @Lokibri Whoa, most awesome looking fish I've ever seen. How do people feel about Gwyneth + an Illuminated in McCabe lists? Giving the Illum reactivate seems like a good way to delete some otherwise troublesome models.
  5. Consider using a Beckoner as a stand-in for Gwyneth. She's exactly 8 points and everything you could ever want in that crew. Also she's not released yet so it's hard to fault you for proxying.

  7. Hmm, why not use Trix for that? Also, does a Taxidermist hold a candle to Burt, or is Burt always the correct choice? I guess Old Major could be interesting with the Werepigs. Def something to try out.
  8. Hmm, I own none of those and am kinda busy with 4 new TT masters in my hood, but they all seem like fun models, especially now that Ulix might want Sammy to carry the bow. No love for Wrastlers and Lightning Bugs? They seem like a ton of fun if nothing else. EDIT : If I were to utilize the new multi-zap upgrade, how would my list look different?
  9. What's the bare minimum needed to make Wong a strong contender? I do already have Slop Haulers and most of what you'd want for Ulix, and would be looking to expand into Wong eventually.
  10. I know I know, but as a person of Japanese decent it just feels a bit bad to get thrown in the mix, y'know. I realize TT are a multi-nation faction, and that's great, but sometimes it feels like they don't differentiate and muddle up cultures just for the heck of it. It'd be like having Italian and French names show up in the Latigo family. Not necessarily harmful, but it would seem careless, and I believe the game's developers do care a lot about the game.
  11. Malifaux' Oni really are Yokai anyways. The Oni characteristic isn't a perfect fit but then Wyrd has always been a lil inaccurate on the Asian wording. Tengu are Yokai, for example, as is Yasunori (although Demon would cover him too). Oni are pretty exclusively tied to the Underworld/Hell. Yokai are more mischievous, Oni are brutal. Ehwell, I do sometimes wish Wyrd did a lil more research but it could also be a lot worse.
  12. If a model holding one of his upgrades were to die within 10" of McCabe, Loan triggers, causing a discard and re-attachment. Since this happens "before death", is the model healed by 2 by a friendly Kamaitachi and therefore saved? Or does the heal+ push not trigger because it is McCabe who does the discarding, and not the model itself?
  13. Are we using Wastrels as stand-in for Guild Guard btw? Seems like a good way to get those nice models to see some play time.
  14. What slowdown model do you have in mind? Ten Thunders Brothers? Shadow Effigy? Even a Peasant might do in a pinch.

  16. It's mostly Ply for Information that aligns perfectly with what Ulix does well. Wagons, if applicable, is also good.
  17. I think 5 would've been fair, Lynch is a little squishy after all. 10 does seem like too much tho.
  18. If a Perdita Obey's an enemy model which subsequently kills a Governor's Proxy (side doesn't matter I believe), which player performs the WP duel for Governor's influence?

  20. I'm fairly okay/happy with the changes. And yes, MechChop being 5 points is pretty incredible. I kinda wish HRMs had gotten an offensive buff, like +1 dmg across the board and the High River Style self damage ability over a points reduction, but I get that that wasn't in the cards.
  21. I've got a question about the interaction between the Charm Warder's "Ward off Evil" (Enemy models may not place scheme markers within 3") and the Wandering River Style upgrade. Assuming I use Mighty Gust to target an enemy Charm Warder, what happens? Are the scheme markers I removed simply lost?
  22. I only use a grid adapted for 30mm models, but ripped out a bunch of sections from both sides to make place for the ShEmSem. Works well enough, although I could see the fragile but awesome beard breaking at some point.
  23. @Kogan Style that's some really sound advice. I've actually stopped taking Wuwah because I like the added flexibility of activiating Lynch whenever (CB benefits a ton from that). It's a shame that the best Lynch Strat is (will be) tied to the worst Lynch scheme since he had a great gg18 place before. I usually like taking a Machine Gun Samurai in my crews, so Trick is definitely in the bones. If I may ask, what's your take on the summoning upgrade? I've been meaning to try that one out but swapped it out for Misdirection last game since She'd blood made easy to kill models a liability. Definitely gonna try a charm wader, those guys seem amazing.
