  1. So I was theory crafting and had a new list I wanted to try out. Likely it suffers from having too many moving parts but I thought it was cool so I am posting it McCabe w/ promises, saber, badge of speed 5ss Kamatachi 4ss Terra cotta warrior 6ss Guild guard x2 6ss Dashel w/arrest him 8ss Emissary w/ conflux 10ss likely taking Strange metal shirt but other upgrades availible total of 39ss which leaves room for izamu or bettari. probably needs to be a beater in that position. The idea is that your guild guard are scheme runners getting replaced by dashel. kamatachi helps with pushes and card draw, maybe healing, everything else is pretty standard. also having free scheme runners that can focus as a 0 action with the saber seems good. if you wanted your beater to be yasunori you could drop one or both guild guard and try to just summon all of them in but I like the idea of two together, one with strange metal shirt getting them armor 2 and the other with the saber charging things. Feel free to tear this apart in the comments. I am hoping to try this tuesday evening.
  2. I played lucius in a league for awhile and after about 2 weeks of getting my teeth kicked in I started getting smart with him. He is great with schemes and strategies that want lots of scheme markers, but with the right crew he can do some work... or his minions can do work. I almost always take a doppleganger because if ill omens with him, plus she is a great scheme runner and even proxy beater depending on the situation. If the schemes and strats are more killy consider throwing in some changelings because they can copy attacks (at MI/Sh/Ca 4) which is additional stuff. It doesn't sound that good until you consider putting them next to a hunter or peacekeeper who has a 10" slow they can just fire off (and and Sh 4 who cares about cover, just volume of attacks things). Within guild, I think riflemen are a trap, but austringers are always amazing, put one in every crew. Since you already have Sonnia, Witchling thralls would be great whenever the come out. Those models pair well with Lucius due to automatically passing horror duels (i.e. free AP even on black jokers) and Sonnia (an impossible to wound beater in your face with disrupt magic giving masters negatives to cast). He also likes Santiago as a soul stone battery who he can punch, which there is a previous post on. And any beater model, judge, ryle, phiona etc, is never a bad choice for him.
  3. So I recently started playing Ten Thunders on top of my Guild which I already own. I was wondering what models go best in a multitude of crews vs what models are niche to specific masters. I traded some other stuff to get mei fang, misaki, Shen Long, and brewmaster box sets, and also got a lone swordsman, ten thunders bros. and a katanaka sniper. Any other additional purchases for general ten thunders that anyone would recommend? I want the most versatility with each purchase.
  4. I always played my henchman as ryle w/ numb to the world, judge with debt to the guild, a warden, and a dog. Judge goes first to drag ryle into place, ryle goes trying to shoot something. Warden shoots w.e else is in the middle looking to kill/ paralyze and the dog charges w.e just needs a few points of damage to die. Also, tomes are huge in this list because grind to a halt shuts down damage. Armor spam works at this level because they don't have enough models to ignore it.
  5. Given the options I would get nellie. I've found Phiona to completely score things like set up and other schemes where you need lots of markers out. Reporters are also good. Nellie just plays well with all models in guild so any choice with her is great
  6. I always take hoffman to teach people at 50ss because he does some cool unique things with a theme along with having some important key models. If someone is completely new to the game however I always teach how the card flip mechanic works followed by a henchman hardcore format. Just let them pick a cool looking henchman from what you have and make them a list around that.
  7. I recently got Shen Long as well and overwhelmed with the options available to me. Thanks for the advice!
  8. I tried her in a henchman hardcore. Works because you need to get close quick but still died quick as well. No idea how she would play at 50 soul stones though I have not tried her.
