  1. So some quick thoughts 1) Ophelia shouldn't buy any of her upgrades as the Young or her can equip them in game for just an AP. Keep in mind though they can only equip her upgrades and I personally tend to like liquid bravery on her (Though I take that upgrade on most of my leaders). 2) Fingers I find doesn't tend to attack much to make use of dirty cheater. One fun thing he can do is cheat his healing flip to heal and heal off dirty cheater, but I find that is better spent elsewhere (ie taxidermist). Stilts is amazing on him. Keep in mind though Fingers is a lot of points and best used in schemes/strats that require a lot of interacting. He is great for both making interacts easy for you while denying your opponent. If you just need a model though to drop scheme markers you can hire Merris who is cheaper and an amazing scheme runner and helps a lot against Sonnia 3) General rule is Gremlins tend to prefer more models over stones. I would hire the 3rd young 4) If you have them Iron Skeeters pair well with Burt. They also don't tend to use which both Ophelia and Burt love
  2. the being able to cancel triggers is also really amazing. You can also protect him with stuff like the bokor or upgrades like hide in the mud or stilts. condition removal I find is really important when facing resers and he is the cheapest gremlin model we have that can do that.
  3. I used bokors during the beta, but mainly as defensive support. Personally I think they are the strongest model we got in wave 5, but still a pretty situational model
  4. Personally always a fan of Sammy holding one of the magical limited upgrades and making hey glowy. I find her pretty hard to remove and doing 3 damage on her attacks isn't bad. 50 SS Gremlins Crew Wong + 3 Pool - A Gremlin's Luck (1) - Explosive Solutions (2) Old Cranky (4) Sammy LaCroix (7) - Ooo Glowy (1) Gauteraeux Bokor (6) Swine-Cursed (7) Swine-Cursed (7) Banjonista (5) Lightning Bug (5) Lightning Bug (5)
  5. Somer can play elite lists pretty well by giving out suits and having encouragement for easy flips. Put encouragement on Sammy and Somer can easily bring the pain.
  6. Good changes Whiskey Golem (good fast tanky model and will be useful in supply wagon. Wish his 0 upgrade though got built in) Survivor (good cheap damage and tanky and pretty flexible). Rafael LaCroix (this surprised me. With Burt nerf I expected him to stay the same) Mechanized Porkchop (I can see them showing up more often now outside Ulix) Expected Burt Jebsen (Cost +1) McTavish (Cost +1) Francois LaCroix (Cost +1) No opinion Wild Boar (Cost -1) Running Tab (Cost -1) Meh changes Moon Shinobi (Cost -1) Mancha Roja (Cost -1) Bayou Bushwhackers (Cost -1) All these models imo have fundamental issues with them and I don't see a point cost fixing them. Moon Shinobi are fun, but even at 5ss a reckless model will probably do more damage (especially 4ss survivor and lightning bugs) and they have little to no utility) Bushwhackers still do nothing Mancha is still outclassed for his cost. Models missing imo Opehlia (still needs help imo especially her gun upgrades) Lenny (though guess he still is good with somer and Gracie) Pugapult
  7. My money is on book 6 just having starter set models. Tt vs ressers (Yan-lo vs anyone friends of Nico) Arcanist vs Gremlins (process of elimination, though the rumored name sounds Brewmaster)
  8. Well going on vacation but finished as much painting as I can for December (though boourns needed a master for the Wyrd challenge to qualify :() iirc 35pts of models
  9. Lucius I find works pretty well with growlists. He can command the Black Blood Shaman to get a lot of extra pulstates, change places with terror tots / youngs to get them in better positions and inspire Nekima to move or get an attack. list I tried was Lucius Deep Pockets On Wings of Darkness Primordial Magic Nekima Thousand Faces Rapid Growth Doppleganger Lilitu Thousand Faces Black Blood Shaman 2x Terror Tot Trick is either Nekima gets kills to grow models, or she weakens them and then the Shaman + Lucius throw enough pustules on her to kill the target so you can summon a terror tot (and then use the corpse to grow it).
  10. Well originally was going do the Lynch box, but painting on translucent plastic is proving to be very annoying. So for now going work on my Nephilim 11 + 2*6 + 3*4 = 35pts of models. Going try and end with a bang

Just curious but what are they doing to push Sonnia?
  12. You should pick up Collodi, Nekima and a Doppleganger and show him what a real tier 1 master can do Short answer is Gremlin's aren't OP, but imo they are a pretty forgiving faction and good at dictating the early game (I find they tend to fall off pretty hard middle to late game especially once they start to lose support pieces). Best way for your opponent to learn to defeat them is try changing crews next game and let him use Gremlins and you use whatever crew he brings.
  13. I like any model with Nellie that can get multiple attacks off 1 ap (ex The Judge)
  14. I find the models are really hit or miss defending on faction. Some factions got really amazing and powerful models while some I feel barely got anything over a situational take. Upgrades on the other hand and insane. Some strong Masters got a lot stronger, some built out a niche and will now see play and some got essentially nothing.
  15. Even giving manual camera permission on my pixel didn't fix it. Gets stuck on the loading models section.
  16. Barbaros = 10SS Dr Dufresne = 15SS My version of Scales of Justice = 3SS
  17. Because they are at the end of the day they are just alt models. They are meant to be special which kind of translates to rare. Right now you either get them from events or promotions and for a premium can buy them direct during Black Friday. Supposed Wyrd did mass produce them though, end of the day all that does it cause competition with themselves. Now instead of just selling Snowstorm for instance you can pick Snowstorm or Krumpus meaning they need to store 2 sets of products to give people choice. Retailers also need to pick of the 2 which to order and both will be competing for the same shelf space.
  18. Keep in mind but all these models are all alternatives and limited edition. That means they are rare(ish) as Wyrd doesn't mass produce them. You end up paying more for that rarity. If you want a cheaper price you can always buy the normal mass produced models at a FLGS. Also it is a sale if you just need a model or so I for instance have the metal Rasputina box and can't easily get the wendigo. I can pay $14 for the 1 model (https://www.gadzooksgaming.com/products/wendigo-children-of-december-rasputina-box-wyr20303) or $75 that gets me 3 cool new sculpts, the wendigo, snowstorm ($33.95 CDN value for me) and an alt Rasputina. So individually can spend: 17.87 (wendigo) + 33.95 (snowstorm) + $2 (trying to photocopy wendigo card) + assuming $10 for shipping = 63.82 or the boxset: 95.73ish + assuming $20 for shipping personally I feel the difference of $50ish to be pretty fair and worth it.
  19. fair point with dogs, pathfinder, investigator and austringers. Was mainly thinking of Guild Guard, Riflemen, Mounted Guardsman and Wardens and I don't think -1SS would be terrible with them. If I had a sergeant already I feel you could make a case for hiring a 3SS guild Guard (especially if they get +2DF near another Guardsman and not just another guard) over a 2SS dog
  20. Yeah Exorcist, handler and Sergeants really should have made the list imo (especially over the scales of justice or Sidir). Lone Marshall's biggest problem is the model is really expensive What I was trying to say with Guardsmans is imo they are supposed to be played in pairs and played off each other. Problem is they are too expensive to make a list of them. What I would like to see is the cheaper minion models become cheaper is you hire them in squads with enforcers or henchmen to kind of make them feel like a structured military unit. Maybe add a general rule to each Guardsmans enforcer / henchmen: Need More Red Shirts: Reduce the cost of 1 Guardsman minion model by 1 for every model hired with this ability So say this is on sergeants and I hire 2 Sergeants that will reduce the cost of 2 Guild Guard by 1.
  21. So a few things 1) They take a lot of setup to do that insane damage. They need to start or end a charge by some kind of marker and have another friendly target engaged in combat and within 8" of said target. That is a lot of moving parts 2) Accuracy modifier I believe still carries over and fixed damage increase does not So to cheat you still need a straight flip on the initial damage. So if the stars align a wrastler can do: 2/3/4 + 1/2/3 damage so: 3/4/5/6/7 which after 2 attacks can be 6/8/10/12/14 and with Mi 7 they are pretty likely to hit For the same point cost you can just charge a survivor into that combat. Survivor only have Mi: 5 and does 2/4/5 damage, with 3 AP from reckless they can get to 6/12/15 damage and require a lot less hurdles to do that. Same cost you can get lightning bugs and slop haulers that still do good damage and bring a lot more utility and flexibility
  22. imo Hopkins: Add nimble, make his upgrade a 0pt upgrade, then give him new upgrades that add to his defense or summon traps or something else suggested Guild Guard: Reduce the cost of a Guild Guard by 1 per every other Guardsman enforcer or Hecnhman hired. Make Patrol work with other guardsman and not just Guild Guard Govonor Proxy: Agreed. He needs a higher WK. I would increase the Ca on Yes Man. Lucius might get use of him? Death Marshal: imo they are good as they are. +1Wd would be great for them Judge: I like him Yeah his push should lose the heartsbane imo is fine Rifleman: honestly the entire Guardsman line needs to be redone imo. I think an upgrade giving them from the shadow would be cool
  23. We ever hear if this was a limited release or a pre release?
