Popular Post Stranglelove
Titania box set finished. On to the Howling and the Alt Killjoy. I may save Pandora for next month, I'm seriously approaching painting burnout.

You need an airbrushed to use it. BTW, @Viruk is not new to employ paints and stuffs by GSW. I'll not be surprised had he used the reagent I was thinking about. Excellent job witht the spides bases. I'll be grateful for some pictures capturing the webs.
Popular Post Caedrus
Caedrus, reporting in! Greetings everyone. I hope all of you are safe, sane and well in this crazy time. I've been madly busy of late (COVID means, I think, either being crazily busy or totally not), but I've had some time to get some productive painting done. I'll be updating the spreadsheet very soon (thanks for the PM's and updates, folks - I'm on it!), and welcome to our newest painter, @Renown0 (whom I will reply to soon, I promise)! Meantime, I thought you might like to see a quick look at what's been across my desk in the last few weeks! That's right, it's been time for some Void keyword! The Nothing Beast, Aionus, Tara and Karina. In addition, some proxy Illuminated are also on the desk at the moment. Still lots to do, but I'm having fun! Critiques and comments are very welcome, folks! Look after yourselves! Caedrus.

I cannot say you used, with great effectiveness, a normal or a metal blue paint..... and I'm a bit confused about the tecnique you used: free hand brush or airbrush? Congrats.
Franchute
@Caedrus I like the combination of colours you used for the Nothing Beast. It is pretty cool. 1
Popular Post catsgamesandpizza
Quick update from my phone, I’ve finished my Pistoleros de Latigo! I’m satisfied with them, although not entirely happy. Could be better, but after having them on my painting desk for over 2 weeks it was time to call it done. cheers! 13

It's basically liquid plastic so the smell is bad and I was wearing a mask while using it. Cleaning the airbrush was also a it more challenging than usual as it sticks to the recesses. I used the designated cleaner but still needed to put it in an ultrasonic cleaner to get rid of it completely. It looks very nice and realistic. Hope the pics below help: 14

I own the kit of paint and cleaner but now I'm even more frightend to the idea of use it with the airbrusher....... Great pictures: closer view shows it's very realistic. Perfect weathering of the metal surfaces too.
Popular Post Rathnard
Time for another update... The Morphling is finished! The hardest part with this piece was to come up with a scheme for the Barbed Crawler half of the mini. In the end decided to do with the same skin as the Speckled Crawler (who they're supposedly closely related to), but with a black stripe down the back and orange "barbs" to draw the eye. So that just leaves the Iron Skeeters to paint this month, which as you can see... ...I got distracted. So yeah. I kind of *accidentally* bought my 4th Allegiance for TOS and now I'm painting Abyssinians instead of Skeeters. Whoops. I might just have to accept that my Malifaux is getting put on hold while i go a little crazy painting TOS instead! On the plus side, I'm really happy with how the Mehal Sefari turned out. So you can expect to see a few dozen more Abyssinians making an appearance in the coming months.

Perfect weathering of the metal surfaces too. I used it once and had to throw out my airbrush after. It was only a cheap one that was probably on it's way out but I don't espcially feel like chancing it through a good one now. Also, only way I could get anything to spray at all was whacking the air on full and pulling back the needle to blast little puffs out. Not sure if Viruk had similar pains using it, but his results are certainly cool looking.
Viruk
It wasn't that bad for me, just took a few test shots at random useless bits, learnt the right pressure on the lever. I also needed to move the needle back and forth a few times as it got clogged too fast. Definitely a bit tricky to use but the effects are pretty cool
Purple Mist
When I bought Spider Serum there were some videos as regard on GSW site. Hope they could use managing the stuff. For sure @Viruk denmostrated it's very effective on bases as on models..... and it could be nice on scenics too. As @lusciousmccabe suggested, using a cheap aribrusher could be a lucky choice. I own one, but I'm not sure it's till working after I tried airbrushing MDF filler, last time I used it. 😒

Sol_Sorrowsong
May Painting Ashes and Dust trio and two more Lyssa proxies. I also painted proxy ice and fire golems, but they aren't Wyrd models so I'm just adding them to show off, because I think they came out really well. Quite an elemental kick for me recently. 9+6+2+4+4 = 25ss

Popular Post Stranglelove
Finished all my Fae! Wish I could get the Waldgeist to complete the keyword, but it appears that they no longer exist to order. I liked working with this metal cast after dealing with Wyrd's plastic for so long. They should do more imo. That's a total of 87ss for May @Caedrus Pandora's box will have to wait for next month. @Sol_Sorrowsong Awesome work, especially Ashes and Dust. For Imgur, copy and paste the Direct Link of the image into the comment form and it should auto-fill. If we were to join late, could we use minis we painted during previous month as catch-up? I've kind of been challenging myself to do a mini a month and post them in my own thread when they're finished. Hi AzuraRayume, Nope, you can enter later in the year, but you'd need to 'buy back' into the months lost!
Caedrus
Hi All, Thanks for the messages and updates about any outstanding points in the challenge. I've checked all my messages and notifications. I've updated the points to reflect those painters who have generated a buy-back, as well. If there's anything I've missed, send me a message, otherwise, I look forward to seeing your end-of-the-month works! Keep putting pigment to plastic!
