prof_bycid Posted April 1, 2018 Report Share Posted April 1, 2018 With 65 minutes to spare, here is my second of the two Rougarou that I pledged for March. The brown dirt is Citadel's Alien Ironearth, but it will be April before it dried and gives that sweet cracked mud look. I really enjoyed painting these models. I tried them out for the first time this week and they are vicious---so may extra attacks when you throw them into the opponent! Strangely Brown Posted April 1, 2018 Report Share Posted April 1, 2018 Ok, got everything finished (in March I promise!) - actually had two days to spare to base & varnish. I had enough time to spare to complete the guild hounds that I had hanging around at the 'sprayed black and drybrushed metal' stage. Not entirely happy with these; I know I can do better. I'm still waiting for Amazon to deliver my daylight lamp, so I'm struggling to paint under a yellow light source several feet from my painting table. The main effect of this is that highlights are less crisp and end up duller than they appear as I'm applying them. I need to practise some more for sure, but I'm convinced that the lighting is a factor. Oh well, maybe next month. It's not like I'm running out of models to experiment on! But I only signed up for the enforcer level pledge (16-30ss), so I'm happy to just count Lucius, The Scribe, Doppelganger & Tannen to get me to 30ss. Whatever fits best!
