  1. ...Every AP they sink into the Lady is an AP not used elsewhere and less focus on other models/schemes - I consider that a productive outcome for your crew. AP attrition is your friend Father Time in Jack Daw crews is alright as he's handing out an addition general AP to models which is never a bad thing... if you taking Nurses then you only have to discard a 6 of any suit which isn't that bad...same goes for guilty. Handy in most situations. Furthermore his Pulse Slow attack is awesome if your throwing the Lady next to a few models so they can't cheat. He's a toolbox full of AP manipulation and when you pair that with Daw's card control it could lead to potentially powerful returns.
  2. I can testify that Cadavr is right; it is made of the evil jelly pvc that can only be worked by a blade. A recast would be excellent but I'd prob prefer a re-sculpt or nightmare ed...
  3. ooo I may have to pop down to try out some new crews i've been painting up. see thee next monday!
  4. clockwork fisted lady Justice once... she wasn't expecting 7 damage...or a fisting... Ramos can rain down the pain on a good day
  5. Im joking saw a lot of people hating on the girls so thought id post the complete opposite of what people were saying. Still think belles are priced perfectly as is though. They dont need errata in any way. I always picture them as being a 5ss utility model and mind game piece; which i think is reasonable really.
  6. Belles: lower cost to 4 and up Ca to 9. Nothing Beast: change from enforcer to henchman. Whiskey Golem: Up Armour from +1 to +2.
  7. I'll be honest I was moaning and whining about Karina but decided to soldier on with her and recently she's been an absolute badass. Set the Dreamer on fire the other day and murdered him. Summoned Student of Viscera in the same game as well! Absolutely love her now!!

maybe standing them near Lenny would be good - effectively making them Armor 2. Green Metal Gamin!

Yeah I totally agree with Dogmantra; when i saw a gremlin at 5ss I was curious due to slop haulers and bugs being so awesome for the same cost - after reading through their cards though i was a little let down to be honest.. I'm sure they'll have their place with some further playtime but currently i'm all about lightning bugs
  10. Always down Sebastian; he can be an absolute terror when poison has been splashed around :0
  11. I could see potential problems in that hardcore games are typically close deployment and melee is pretty much assured. The trapper may get one shot in and then is pretty much out of the game unless he wants to wade in with his combat knife If you fancy playing a game use the following rules (stolen from adepticon 2016 henchmen hardcore): Number of Rounds: 3 • Round Time Limit: 30 minute time limit. • Strategy and Scheme Selection (all rounds): o Deployment: Close. o Strategy: Hardcore Turf War. This Strategy uses the Turf War rules (Core Rulebook pg. 66) with the exception that VP may be scored on the first Turn. o Scheme Pool: Assassinate (Core Rulebook pg. 68). This is the only Scheme available and it must always be taken. • Game Size (all Crews MUST BE led by a Henchman, NOT a Master): o The game size is 20 Soulstones. o All Crews must contain exactly 4 models, no more, no less. o Upgrades may be purchased, as allowed by the standard rules of Malifaux. o The size of a Crew’s Soulstone Pool is limited by the Cache of the Henchman leading it; any Soulstones above this amount are discarded. o Any Actions, Abilities, or Triggers which summon models are considered to be “blank” (they may not be used and have no effect on the game, as if they were not printed on the model). o Only one Scheme will be available.
  12. Its sneaky combo's like this that make me love gremlins and bayou two-card. Somer forever!!!
  13. Why not use the models under the Through the Breach RPG rules? Would make for an interesting game with the models suggested. Especially if your playing the patients on the escape or a rogue neverborn agent. I appreciate you may not have the books at such short-notice though...
  14. Yeah initially I had the idea of a shooty list that is difficult to close upon due to Alyce's aura for anti-charges and then when melee does unfold, both sue and the convict gun-slinger can shoot at range. Now i'm thinking a similar list to kirby with Taelor leading it so there are multiple hard to kill models and a drop of healing plus the 3" is never wasted in close range hardcore games.. Also I agree about Hannah; I was thinking the card draw may be a good bonus but she's just a bit meh all round; its rare that i take her in most lists these days... even Tara's crew builds don't really look to her anymore...
  15. Say whaaaa! awww man, that literally just ruined my entire day.. Wanted to grab a fresh deck soon.
  16. Hey all, Rumours abound about a hardcore mini tournament at the Outpost in Sheffield. I'm thinking of fielding: Rusty Alyce Sue Convict Gunslinger Hodgepodge Effigy 1 ss left over for either i pay better or Oathkeeper for the convict... --- I also realised I would generally only consider Taelor, Hannah, Alyce or Ama No Zako (at a push) for hardcore. Any ideas on more streamlined builds or thoughts on the above build?
  17. Masters of the path requires a few key purchases in the form of Izamu, Toshiro and Yin amongst others although their pretty cheap. Other than the required purchases I found Yan Lo to be an incredibly fun master and his play style will teach you a lot about positioning and board control. Plus its one of the cheapest boxes to initially buy and as an added bonus you could dip into the ten thunders faction if the resser faction loses its appeal.
  18. I've had Ashes and Dust killed many times in games; for 13ss its has a low threshold of wounds and like Adran stated it can be focussed down and will mostly predictably stick to the edges of the board. It brings a huge mind-game being a evil looking sand beast on a 50mm base; but it can be killed and will go down with enough effort or shooting. Also like you say he's 13ss and thats already over 25% of the opponents crew taken up if your playing to 50ss meaning the crew may be on the smaller side if they want a henchman in the mix too... I say shoot it...or hire bishop to hunt it for you.
  19. I love bishop. Sometimes you can spring him on players who havn't experienced him before; as they only expect quadruple-fisting levels of pain to come from people with relic hammers or those that sit on 50mm bases - Then bishop rocks up and double flurries all over their face... Also he's the answer to late game horsemen by targeting their WP... Doesn't hurt that he has an amazing sculpt too...
  20. pretty much the same for me. recently been playing lots of Tara and just plugging the shortfalls in my lists with scheme specific models. that or fall back on von schill who is good at everything!
  21. ahhh i was looking at the pre-errata upgrade from the book... Bishop remains a women trapped in the body of a man for now.
  22. Actually... thats happening.. then my bishop can be throwing all sorts of sass while flurrying..
  23. female proxies for desperate mercs/gunslingers. You could also paint lip stick on bishop as you can turn him into a sister with the right upgrades.
  24. Kirai is definitely the easiest to use I would say - her defence trigger for ikiryo gives you a great mega summon that can be done over and over again if the opponent is foolish enough to keep attacking things within the summon bubble that Kirai has. Yan Lo is a bit more technical but he is mega fun once you get your head round him. He doesn't necessarily need to rely on spirits either; he's more about ancestors and re-positioning things - you can then kinda decide on the type of build you want him to take as you 'level-up' with chi conditions... one of many being a spirit focus... If you like the look of him; buy him... You'll be forever wondering otherwise. give in to the urge to buy more malifaux... plus it will net you chiaki the best resser utility model ever.
  25. Possibly one or two flesh constructs are needed as summoning fodder for kirai. One will usually suffice though. Your going to have a job ahead of your to compile a collection of ALL spirits mainly due to the fact she has the freedom to summon any of them; and you will have a answer to all problems then too. I reckon Gaki, Datsue-Ba, Shikome and Hanged can never be bad first purchases. Izamu too is awesome as already mentioned. Remember you want undead/living models near kirai to trigger her df trigger for Ikiryo. Some spirits don't have a corporeal classification.
