  2. These look amazing. I can't wait to try the scenario!
  3. She's really fast, but a lot more fragile than she seems to be at first. Both of her (0) actions are powerful but suit-dependent. Her melee attack is a low Ml 5, but huge damage. When I've had success with her, it's been in two ways: First, as a Scheme-runner your opponent won't mess with. She can move quickly along flanks and your opponent will hesitate to send cheaper scheme-runners after her. She'll mop up Necropunks and Silurids no problem, occupy space for Recon/Interference, and so on. Second, as a frontline sacrifice piece. She's got a melee attack, she can make terrain hazardous, and she can devour Paralyzed or short models. In the front, she's not going to survive, but she can require a lot of resources to take down. She's also great for Frame For Murder, because she's really, really hard to ignore. I've seen other people use her in other ways successfully - in a crowd she's harder to gang up on and can occupy a lot of space - but these are generally the main two ways I've seen her played and the ways that I've found work best for me.
  4. Hey! Thanks for reporting the Komainu post. However, it's actually okay to post about rules for a model in that model's faction forum, so I'm going to leave the post as-is.

    Cheers!

  5. I'm gaining the Focused +2 condition just from looking at it.
  6. What happens when a defender uses the Sub Zero trigger? Do attacker's triggers go off? Can the attacker finish the rest of their action? Does it end the second attack of a Charge?
  7. I guess the classy way to do this would be a little wooden chore wheel, with an arrow pointing to the current chore.
  8. I'm still learning Gremlins, but it seems like they're only random when things fall apart. The more you plan and control them, the less luck you need to count on. They have a lot of tools to manage the apparent chaos. Use them and you'll find that they're really dynamic and efficient. Ignore them and you leave yourself to Fate's mercy. Your Bayou Gremlins have unpredictable triggers? Use Som'er or Lenny to give them the right suit so you can control it. Your Piglets will charge whatever they see? Plan positioning so you don't accidentally charge the wrong things. Or keep a Hog Whisperer closeby to prevent the chaos.
  9. I have the models but haven't built them yet. They seem like they'd be really good for Turf War (and similarly Extraction and Guard the Stash.)
  10. I played Ulix in a tournament this weekend and found a combination that I liked a lot. I took Sammy and gave HER the Husbandry Upgrade, so she could do the Summoning, while Ulix acted as a frontline combat unit or scheme-runner as needed. If Assassinate isn't in the pool, I can kind of let Ulix live or die and not mind -- he ends up mostly providing archery and card support, and maybe one Shot-in-the-Rear a game to soften up my enemy's backline. Then I take Aionus to speed up Sammy, drop off Scheme Markers for Call Forth The Pork, and rush up to act as a second line. Aionus is plenty scary and it's been working really well. Then I take Old Major with Corn Husks, and another big pig to pull Ulix and generally make things go. And a Slop Hauler to heal up the summoning engine. (Incidentally, Aionus giving Slop Hauler Fast means the Hauler can make two Feed the Piggies in a turn, which is some amazing healing.)
  11. Leveticus can only Channel once per time he declares and action. He can, however, Channel when declaring a Charge, then Channel for each melee attack of the charge, thus getting double-positive for both attacks at a cost of 6 Wounds.
  12. I have played them and they are a lot of fun. They're not as strong as a Master-led Crew in a 50ss game, but still fun. Some of the models are very nice when hired into other Crews, though. Here's a podcast where I talk about them with the superb host, Dan: http://beforewebegin.podbean.com/e/episode-50-ted-with-wrath/
  13. When the Doppelganger copies the action, the Doppelganger is the originator of the action. The fact that it's a borrowed action doesn't change the effects, including non-immediate effects. The later effects stick around and continue to operate, even if you need to look at a different card to read the rules for it. The duel happens just the same at the start of each of the Doppelganger's Activations, the same as it would if a Death Marshall had done it.
  14. I haven't really played any other minis games, other than Car Wars as a kid in the 80s, and one demo of Krosmaster. So I'm not sure. I don't think there's a cookie-cutter list that wins tournaments. Crew selection definitely matters, and you can get an advantage by copying the list of someone who's been successful, but strategy during play matters a lot too!
  15. The rules do not require informing someone that you haven't met the TN until the Resolve Effects stage. They do require showing the card when asked, and answering any questions about the stat card or rules honestly. Whether or not you choose to give reminders like this is up to you. In some metas, everyone will do so whenever they can, and will see people who don't as rude. In some metas, nobody volunteers this kind of information, and sees those who do so as inefficient or uncompetitive. Personally, I prefer to win or lose by deeper tactical questions, rather than checking cards frequently or memorizing a lot of things, so I tend to give reminders and hope my opponent does the same. It's definitely not disadvantageous if both people are doing it. If my opponent plays a less generous playstyle, I will match suit and start doing the same. It's not my preferred way to play, but I can, and I'll still enjoy the game and be courteous and friendly with my opponent. It's just a little slower because I'll be checking my opponent's cards more often.
  16. Tara is the best Master in the game for Stake a Claim. Generally, though, for most questions, it takes some experience to know the answer. Different people will have better success with different Masters, depending on how we play them.
  17. The Spawn Mother looks even more Heavy Metal than the metal version. And that's saying something!
  18. <MOD HAT> Myyra, let's please steer away from things that could sound like personal attacks. It may be more useful to provide your own math instead. </MOD HAT>
  19. Yeah, I believe Aionus was a Roman variant of Aeon, the Hellenic god of time. In Latin it would indeed be pronounced "I own us."
  20. Here are my notes on Ulix: http://themostexcellentandawesomeforumever-wyrd.com/topic/103202-how-i-play-ulix-not-quite-a-tactica/ He's got some great tricks with Shot in the Rear. (Especially with the Sow). This can take out a lot of models at once. He's amazing at eating enemy Scheme Markers and laying down his own. He can Summon to get plenty of Piglets and a few extra huge War pigs. I haven't had much success with Wild Boars myself -- I generally go with Gracie, Old Major, and Piglets.
  21. <MOD HAT> Hey Fog! It's fun to collect fate decks and there are some great ones out there. However, this is a bit of delicate territory. Please note the post The Use of Wyrd IP. The best way I've seen to get interesting fate decks is to go to events that offer special ones. Thanks! </MOD HAT>
  22. The rules explicitly forbid stall tactics and unreasonable delays.
