  1. It sounds like you are using them as impassable, as flight and incorporial can pass beyond impassable terrain, they just can't end on it.
  2. The PDF is available, for free, in the Errata section. The playtest was public here, for several months. I don't think I remember anyone reporting doing protection of metal on a metal gamin during the playtest, so it could be that no one spotted it. I don't see how you can claim that removing hard to kill stops it being useful for Mei. Idon't think it actually has a huge effect on her original use for them. They can still be used as jumping points, and whilst they may die on average1 Ap faster now, they will still be dropping scrap for her to rail walk to. As someone that has spent a lot of time on the wyrd boards, I can say that I don't think they can be accused of shooting from the hip. There have been several calls for errata on several models. On occasion Wyrd agrees (nexus of power and Mechanical rider for example), and erratas them. Sometimes it says that it doesn't see it as a problem (rotten belles, there have been many complaints, and the designers have said they don;'t see it as a problem, but they will keep their eyes on it. I've not heard it for about a year now, and belle spam lists aren't winning everything). They have errata'd things that weren't causing an uproar on the board (Final debt). That all suggests to me that they are looking carefully at things, and not just jumping on what the internet says. Finally. The product you bought is still valid. You and your opponents are entitled to not play with errata if thats your choice. Wyrd will not launch a raid on your house just because you're not using the most up to date rules.
  3. From what we have heard about Gencon 2016, is that they are planning on some new upgrades for the factions. Following everything they have done since M2E started, when they sell the upgrade pack with all the new upgrades,, it will have any errata'd cards in it, just like Campagne upgrades this year had the errata'd Tannen and Blessed, and the Wave 2 arsenal packs had the errata'd wave 1 cards.
  4. Why? The "non-Austringer" clause? If yes then for me its debatable and I`d ask for a FAQ for that. Any argument that says it doesn't name Austringers would allow the action to target Austringers, since it's not named them. It might be a slightly unexpected effect, but the question isn't frequently asked, and the answer is obvious.
  5. Gremlins typically do a huge amount of damage, so largely get around damage reduction effects by just doing more damage.
  6. The Lure answer tells use 2 things, both of which are only relevant if the model is going to end in base contact with the luring model. Firstly, you can't walk past the luring model, and then sneak up behind it, you have to go to the nearest point. Secondly, even if you have the movement to walk around hazadous terrain (or climb down) and end up in base contact, you can't. You'll have to get to base contact using as little of your movement as you can.
  7. At the moment there is no model for Ol' Cranky, and I don 't think there is an expected release date, so you're probably not going to see him until March at the earliest. Since you have the arsenal deck, you'll have a card for him. I've seen several people convert up a Bayou Gremlin to act as a proxy.
  8. I really enjoyed the episode, but it did seem to me that Yu was artifically high because people seemed to be thining of his upgrades for some of his things. Likewise, fancois with his self damage, whilst the faction does healing, him taken on his own, he can't heal. Did make me think of a couple of new ways to do this, you could do it, including upgrades. You could also look at the bottom 16 and run a plate contest. Poor Dan, I assume, placing Toshiro as his top henhcman, and him still ending up 35th
  9. Are you sure you have the right page? HERE It looks okay to me, though I'm no Outcast expert. Page seems rather disorganized, but it is there. Notably there is no mention of "Scout the Field" which is the third Outcast upgrade this model has access to (page actually says model can only take 2 upgrades). The page was last updated before Scout the field existed. I've gone and added the option in.
  10. Yes, even if it doesn't mention toward, the push is mentioned with a direction, so it must be that fixed direction. "Push into base contact" is the same as "push towards" except with unlimited distance.
  11. Largely Indifferent to the change. I think there would have been much more uproar if they changed their cost, as losing Mech Rider summoning would have made them very questionable. I've only ever felt I've got my monies worth from them when I get to use Magnetism. Games without constructs have made them unhappy. # I would like the next book to come with a 1 ss upgrade that gives all friendly metal gamin in play hard to kill back. I don't know if I would take them still, but it would let them still do what most people want them for.
  12. Personally I think the biggest thing for Wong is a glowy target. You will want a model that is there to kill things with their new magical weapon. . There area wide range of possibilities, but the common ones are Francois, Burt, Gracie, McTavish and Lazarus. (I imagine Manjo Rojo would also be a good option, but I've not seen him used yet). All bar Francisco are in their own box (well McTavish isn't released yet, but will be in his own box) They all have some use in brewie list, from Gracie being able to move Brewie after his activation to shift the drinking time aura, to Burts Crackerjack timing bring models in, to Lazarus doing Blasts, or McTavish not randomising when shooting into combat. And thoe 4 are Mercs so can be used by any faction.

    Zoraida's Turn 1

Surely Gremlin Lure will still work, as it will make Zoraida run away from Trixie
  14. The only one I can think of is Promises which will buff friendly upgraded models (Guild/TT). There is also Rasputina's shatter which will hurt you besed on the number of upgrades on you.
  15. 49) Q: If a model on a 30mm base is positioned perfectly on top of a 30mm Scheme Marker such that the Marker is completely covered, can other models draw LoS to the Scheme Marker? A: No. Note that in the case multiple Scheme Markers are stacked on top of each other (with nothing else on top of/ blocking them) models may draw LoS to all Markers in the stack because Scheme Markers are not blocking. Its not very often that your opponent wants LOS to a scheme marker though. Engagement is normally enough to stop them removing it.
  16. Not sure I would have removed the hard to kill from the metal gamin, but I know I view them differently to most. I do liek the protection of metal errata. Makes it work much more as intended. Confluws changes aren't too surprising, but I've not tried either. Other than that, FAQ seemed fine. Nice to have an answer on the lure.
  17. I want to comment on the rail golem. In my experience, if you are adding burning to the rail golem, you are wasting your time. Only once in more than 10 games have I ran out of Burning on it. In all those games I have spent 0 ap on giving it extra burning. My locomotive always ends when I run out of tomes.
  18. To be fair, I do this, and am quite happy with them. A number of people are going to despair at my next comment. Why are you setting fire to things in a Kaeris list? I've come up with 5 reasons (2 on own models 2 on enemy models and one on either). 1 To power up for wings of flame. So typically you are trading 1 Ap, to give 1 model flying, and effectively a free interact (I know its a bit more versitile than that) 2 To allow healing with purifiying flamee. Which is typically trading 1 Ap for 1 or 2 points of healing. 3 To improve Immolate - in effect giving her Focus for that spell. So a 1 ap for 1 Ap trade (obviously if you attack the burning model more than once you get more AP as its a focus every time). 4 To hurt the enemy model. 5 To trade for cards using Truth in flames. 3 doesn't end the condition, so doing it for 3 will naturally do 4 as well. And if you are doing it for either of these, then you are going to be helping out the Gunsmith. As a general rule, the spells which apply burning don't do a huge amount for their cost. Take Flaming halo, if it were damage it would be 2/2/2 spread with a trigger to make it more. Not a good attack, so for a master you really need it to do something more than just using it to hurt a model. Its not to bad a damage spread for malifaux child, and the abiltiy for you to set fire to 2 models for 1 Ap makes it much more efficient if you are doing it for the above options 1, 2, 3 or 5. For a gunsmith to be able to make use of its a"The Hard way", you need to be spending your Ap burning the enemy. So you need to pick a model that does this. I know its obvious. But The Gunsmith has to rely on other models to set it up. If I'm trying to do 1 or 2 on the above list, then I probably have a couple of models that can do this, and when they aren't burning my own models, they can burn enemy models to help the gunsmith. The enemy normally will get to activate after you set something on fire, so can put it out. A lot of the time that a 1 Ap for 1 Ap trade, which isn't bad, but is up to the opponent. The Burning won't deal its damage until the end of turn, so it is't going to stop an enemy model activating. To much in the crew that dishes out burning, and I don't have the hitting power to be able to remove models. I'm also having outside constraints on my activation order. To me its all a bit to much for burning to be the optimal Kaeris approach. And if mass burning isn't your plan then Gunsmiths aren't likely to be above Ok. They can do some pretty good things, but its quite luck based. All those positives to attack flips can help you get the trigger you want, but all to often, you end up having to pick the highest card of the flip, with a trigger that isn't useful. I've not played many Kaeris games, I'm certainly no an expert, but I've personally had more success when I've not tried to set most things on fire. Your playstyle and meta might be different. (And when I used them with Toni, I've had several models that can cause burning, at least 4. Sometimes that included oxfordian mages, which I've not had much success with, so that may well hamper the burning route)
  19. Not quiet sure what you are asking. The Web store will tell you what is in each arsenal deck. The main rule book has every card that is in the 7 wave 1 arsenal decks ( I think they have added hair trigger in later printings), Crossroads has every card in the wave 2 arsenal decks (except the errata'd cards from wave 1, which were added to the wave 2 decks). Otherwise if you buy the model, you will get the cards with the models. You would then need the generalist upgarde deck, but that will get you all the cards (if you own all the models). The Shifting loylaties campaign deck come with the errata'd cards from the Wave 2 decks. Or are you after all the different images on the cards, and limited edition sculpts (such as Miss Ann Thrope who se card exactly matches the wastrel card, but is called Miss Ann Thrope). In which case I haven't got a clue if there is a list with all the different images.
  20. I've yet to be impressed with gunsmiths. I've tried them with Kaeris and ironsides, and they were ok, but not stand out in anyway. I've not tried all the tricks with them, but I have done a few, such as using ironsides to bring them up and possibly giving them fast. Am I prepared to ruin my hand for that fast? No. If its a 7 or higher, I'm probably not going to use it early on on a gunsmith for fast. I might used 7-9 towards the end of turn, when I'm less likely to need them to actually protect me. I also need to look at what the AP I spent to attack them gained me. ironsides "You' looking at me" to move them is good (especially if you get the trigger to move 2) but using Malifaux child to set them on fire for Kaeris is less useful, unless flight or the scheme markers will be usable in the game. My play style with any of the 3 obvious masters doesn't see Burning as my natural route. If I'm not setting many bad guys on fire, then they don't do as well. I'm not saying its hard to set models on fire, but I'm changing what I do with the rest of my crew to improve these models, so they aren't as effiicent as they may have seemed. Likewise I find they spend a lot of time, uninjured, and go very rapidly from there to dead. I am in agreement with bengt. Its a nice defence trigger, but I can't garentee getting to use it when I need it the most. I've lost games because Marcus had no tomes to discard to his upgrade for 2 turns running despite Arcane reservoir, and spending stones on cards. Its not a common thing, but I've seen it happen enough to not rely on my hand. My Arachind swarm is walking round with a gatling gun. I think thats much better than a rapid firing Gunsmith, and doesn't require any additional hand support other than the cheating damage which it almost always gets to do thanks to on both attack and damage. with Sh 6 and a 2/5.6 damage profile.
  21. If she is engaged, she can't do a action. But she can happily do other actions. (She also can't charge, and she is only allowed to do interact actions that target an enemy model). Manipulative applies to every action targetting her whilst it is up, passing one doesn't mean they automatically pass the rest.
  22. What do you mean by Magical blast? Does it have to be a cast Action with Blast Damage? Must it be a ranged attack? (For example Mei Feng, who isn't an outcast, has the scalding blast upgrade attack that is a Ca action that does blasts but has a symbol). Could you do area damage in a different way? (ama no zaki can put up an area of hazadous terrain that will damage everything in an area when it activates. It will damage a large area, but slowly over time). All the crossroads 7 have auras that will hurt models near them if they don't meet certain criteria. Lazarus and the Friekorps specialist both have shooting attacks that do blast damage. Its not a magically cast fireball, but for about 95% of the game it functions the same. In outcasts Jack and Hamlin have ways of making models do extra actions during their activation, (or copying actions) so if you find a different model that does it, they can make it do it more. But without knowing exactly what you want (and why), its hard to give an exact answer. You also missed Vanessa as a outcast with magical blasts.
  23. For what its worth I have found that by the mid point of the campaign script isn't too hard to come by, so spending 6 scrip to get his curses, isn't much worse than amount spent upgrades for other masters.
  24. Even better than that, the claim is that you'd be able to place the first blast marker anywhere within 2" of the target, and then be required to place the next blast marker in contact with both the target and the blast marker you just placed 2" away from the target. That's sort of geometrically impossible to do with a 30mm marker. Its not impossible with a 50 mm marker though,
  25. The Rat king is taking the action, it is the acting model.
