    • Hey guys, My group is relatively new to Malifaux with only a half dozen games and we just wanted to check our understanding around Engagement. 1. "Models that do not have *Claw* Actions do not have engagement ranges." Am I correct in my interpretation that a model without any melee weapon like my Dabblers cannot be engaged even if an enemy is in base contact with them? 2. If I am in a position where an enemy is engaging me but I am not engaging them (Example: Hungering Darkness is 1.5" away from my Dabbler), am I also correct in my interpretation that I my Dabbler can still interact, walk away, or use their Projectile attacks because they are not engaged themselves, but if they try and shoot the Hungering Darkness they suffer Friendly Fire because the target is engaged. We just want to make sure we are playing the rules as intended and in the spirit of the game, Thanks in advance!

    • This year's event will celebrate 15 years of Malifaux with a new modern spacious venue, and potentially the biggest Malifaux tournament ever. We have moved to Leicester De Montfort University to provide a larger, better-equipped venue. Although this has increased the operating costs (hence a ticket price hike), on the positive side there will be a cheap bar and the venue is in walking distance of a wide range of accommodations and eating options. Transport links are also good. In addition, it will host the Avatar of Artistry painting competition, building on last year's expansion to this aspect of our favourite game. As usual I will be seeking sponsorship from related companies, and including a charity raffle. Everything you need to know can be found on the UK Nationals website including rulespack, ticket link, and venue information. https://uk-nationals.co.uk/event/ Players Lee Walstow  James Brown  Pieter Schutte  Stephen Renouf  George Renouf Daniel Eatch
    • That's a good point! Indeed I'll probably try to collect all the faction, but I would stick to play 3 masters. I also noticed that McM and Molly share the Rogue Necromancy, so thats a hint on the second master having McM right now lol
    • 3 masters is quite common for a 'tournament bag'. It's rarely practical to transport a full faction anywhere, and having a full toolbox isn't useful, if you don't know how to use half the tools. When I tourneyed ressurs last year, I lugged Seamus, Yan Lo and Daw around, but in 90% of my games, I just ran with Seamus, because of familiarity and brain fatigue. Experience with a given keyword is far more efficient than having optimum rules.
