From the album: Trying not to DNF in the final round
Made it all 5 rounds. Thought I'd put all my entries together and mix things up. -
I came very close to a DNF in round 4, but I figure - if I'm come this far, I should at least try to see it through to the bitter end.

The tattoos are awesome - especially the one on his head. I expected him to be green when you posted your first WIP, but you pulled off the caucasian skin tone very well. -

Excellent job with the smoke/fog. You know how tough this competition is when this quality of work is in the eliminated category. -
Did you paint those symbols on the book and skull, or are they sculpted in? You did a great job on his face. The whole thing looks really good overall. -

Looks really good. I especially like the lightbulbs (both the intact and broken ones). -
Very cool. The basement being tinted yellow from the lightbulb is a great touch. I've talked about doing scenes with multiple layers like this before, but it always turns out I'm not good enough/too lazy. It's cool to see somebody actually pull it off. -
Holy shizz that's amazing! I thought your round 2 entry was crazy, but it seems you saved the most impressive for last. It's a really good thing you did the video, because I'm not sure I would've understood what was going on from the image alone. I was actually looking for the reference to you in there, but I didn't see "icatsai" anywhere. Does this mean that Darklord has blown your secret identity? -
Hah, I like that the little goblin is apparently ready to fist fight the lady of the lake. The water looks great. What did you use/ how did you get that nice green tint? -
The cloudy look of the mirror is really cool. If I'm understanding correctly, the woman in the mirror is tearing off her own skin, yes? -

Looks gorgeous. This may seem like a dumb question, but this is inspired by Samwise intimidating some orcs with his shadow, right? -
You should've stuck a cigarette/cigar in its mouth to get the full 10 points for theme. I sense from your entries that you're a big fan of the purple+light blue color scheme. -

I like the green goop coming out of the mouth(s). What are color shift paints? -
Definitely worth looking at the high resolution version. The scythe blade looks especially good, and all the little knicks and scratches all over are a great touch. -
I also came to say that I dig the purple. You dig a good job of making the sash a distinctly different shade of purple than the robe. -

Haha, I like that it was inspired by Sub-Zero. I actually considered painting some kind of Ninja character to look like Smoke (one of the many Sub-Zero/ Scorpion) clones. -

I was going to say something very similar. Well, I'm glad you did something that looks so amazing. Now I don't have to feel bad when I'm eliminated in the final round. Haha. Seriously, though, I have a long way to go before my painting skills are at your level.
