  1. I don't follow, why wouldn't the Malifaux Child be able to take Ml actions?
  2. If you buy all the upgrades they only cost 4 SS because Fully Equipped Airship lowers the cost.
  3. Yeah I'd prefer a single PDF of all the errata cards as well, if for no other reason that you get correctly sized cards by printing 3x3 pdf pages per printed page. Having them in one file also means you can print a series of specific pdf pages without wasting paper. Think About The Trees!!!

On second thought I guess you can deploy Anima and the Guards in contact with the EC and have the mages within 2". Activate the EC without doing anything and do the damage, then walk away with those three and kill the EC with Anima's (0) tagging the mages. I'm still partial to Willie though.

If you just want to hit the mages Willie is a much better deal than the EC.

    M2E Ironsides

What did he do with the EC? Because it seems hard/impossible to do just one damage to everyone. If it blows itself up it pulses 3 damage, if someone else kills it it pulses 2 damage, if it ends its activation in base contact with someone it does 1 damage, but with the large bases on the mages you couldn't fit everyone in base contact.
  7. I use the loose 9 card pocket things, but I put them in a disposable binder without rings, just this metal filament you bend. They add very little bulk but are kind of flimsy. I've looked at the ultra pro ones, and they are definitely sturdier without being much thicker, but they are also kind of expensive for what they do IMO. Perhaps I should see if I can find any no brand stuff somewhere. I got everything in a single one right now, but I should probably split it up since I can't fit all my models in the case anyway. But then I guess I need another one with just the mercenaries. To be honest I detest the card management part and prefer to stick my head in the sand and pretend the cards doesn't exist as much as possible...
  8. Are we still talking about Desperate Mercenaries? Because they have the Mercenary characteristic already.
  9. That PDF isn't up to date though, e.g. The Scribe is still a Peon.
  10. Does the order really matter? No Today, Lads doesn't change the fact that a model was reduced to 0 Wds, it just retcons the killed state and then heals the model. It would matter against things that have an effect on killed (e.g. Datsue Ba's summons), but Desolate Warping doesn't care if anyone was killed.

    M2e Colette

The argument started because some people claimed that Colette was better off (in some vague sense) with the cuddle. I don't think anyone has claimed that she sucks now. Hooked cane gets +1 to the attack flip, not the damage, so at best you get a Ml 8 1/3/4 attack if you spam scheme markers. You might be thinking of Titania?
  12. Skeletons are limited to Ashigaru. They are thematically linked to Yan Lo, though they don't have very strong synergy mechanically. Ghosts are also kind of rare. There are a fair amount of models that are incorporeal, and thus kind of ghostly, but more often than not the models look kind of like zombies anyway. You could of course paint them ghostly anyway. Lots of grey scale could make any crew look like ghosts really.
  13. At first glance I thought was that it was a Rafkin conversion (the apron is more eye catching than the weapons). That said I wouldn't have a problem playing against it and remember what it was once told. In general I'm positive to conversions and proxies from other manufacturers as long as they convey the spirit of what they are replacing (I know, a very subjective measurement ). Though if there are a lot of substantial conversions/proxies it can be hard to remember all of them, especially if they have a strong theme that threatens to overwhelm their individual distinguishing characteristics.
  14. I agree on 1. The default assumption for text in the main body of an action is that it only happens if the action succeeds. Exceptions being if it's a requirement to take the action (e.g. the first sentence of Archie's), modifies the duel (e.g. a ) or explicitly happen anyway (e.g. the push on Mei Feng's kick).
  15. Reva's mother may not be a very reliable narrator*. Child Reva may very well have had powers unlooked by the breach, but her mother could ignore it until Reva got older. It's easier to dismiss odd things children do after all. * Never assume that a character in a story knows what they are talking about and/or is being honest.

    M2e Colette

My point is that you want to do something with your Master's AP every turn that feels somewhat significant, and you are not going to trick someone about All Together Now more than once per game. Not that it should be impossible to get a little ahead in AP (or break even while trading it to harder models) even if the opponent knows exactly what your doing. I didn't mention her attack actions because I expected them to be good, just to note that it's not the first stop when you are looking to do something "master level". --- All in all I'm still so surprised that some of you guys seems to be absolutely overjoyed that Colette got Cuddled.
  17. Wont models that are sacrificed have to flip for injuries after the game? Regardless of why you were sacrificed? And then go poof if you have too many injuries. So it feels like a house rule would be needed for Coryphees to be playable in a campaign.

I think Disappearing Act is a "Master level" action, only other Masters have place actions with similar range, e.g. Tangle Shadows, Lightning Dance, Hot off the presses. Now I understand if you would consider it on the lower end of the listed actions, but non masters don't get actions like it. All together now I think also qualifies but with its massive setup it kind of feels like your opponent need to be asleep for you to use it effectively very often. Her attack actions are rather lame for a master (does anyone use Hooked Cane for anything but occasionally poking a nearby friendly model for Costumes?).
  19. The damage bonus from Dept to the guild only lasts for the duration of Ryle's activation.
  20. It's not dependent on the upgrade, but the Lead Singer ability on his card. Though to lead a crew of any faction it must be 50+ stones and have at least 7 Crossroads Seven models in it (so all of them). So he can't ever lead non-Neverborn crews below 50 stones.
  21. For the card draw you'll need to either give her instinctual and Flare and then Truth, so Emissary goes first; or you can have other models go first (e.g. Malifaux Child, Union Miners, Rail Golem) to set fire to people and then Truth with Kaeris. For the flight/scheme markers you need them on fire and close to Kaeris when they activates, either use Flare and hang around, or use other models for fire and not activate Kaeris for a while. The healing is less dependent on activation order, there you just have to plan where you want everyone at the end of the turn. All of them require a certain amount of clumping together. So one of her problems are that you have to decide from the start of a turn what you are going to do, and if you deviate from that to react to the enemy you'll not only miss out on her most powerful abilities but you end up damaging your own models instead! This double whammy can feel a bit much. So its not so much that you'll always have to activate everything the same way, but select an activation order each turn. I still like her though but it can often feel like I have to jump through a little too many hoops. Zipp's Up We Go has more flexible placement than Grab And Drop. Enemy goes 5" for both but you have to place Kaeris within 2" of the enemy so she will be engaged if it survives, Zipp can go 8" anywhere he wants. That GnD is a (0) is bad for Kaeris since she has several other, UPW being a (1) means you can repeatedly use a good attack to get an enemy really out of position.
  22. I think it's really reaching to call Nellie "essentially" dual faction just because she, kinda, sorta, has Infiltration(Mercenary). She isn't getting access to any models that isn't available to every other master in the game. And while she is a sellout in the stories there hasn't been any indication she is a fickle sellout that will switch allegiances as soon as a higher bidder comes along.
  23. Dunno, Death Defying maybe since it heals Colette when she would have died, so if you could go negative from a big hit she would have less Wd after or even still die.
  24. I think it's based on the "can't go to negative wounds" FAQ entry (#31), so nothing explicit.
  25. Yes. http://bloodofkittens.com/wargaminghub/2015/10/20/unboxing-malifaux-fate-decks-standard/ The character wasn't named at that point though, at least not publicly.
