  1. Player this Morning versus Mah Tucker. Plant Explosives (Breakthrough, Harness, Claim, Dig, Detonate. I Played this New Von Schill Crew (Outcasts) Size: 50 - Pool: 6 Leader: Von Schill Totem(s): Steam Trunk Hires: Pride The Midnight Stalker Hannah Lovelace Freikorps Engineer Freikorps Librarian Freikorps Scout Wanted to give a second chance to MS, and also give a try to Pride, and ended with way less punch than I'm used. This game Scout killed one Bushwacker and tried in vain to score Harness, but Trixibelle decided to eat scheme markers. The Engineer did nothing, and was obliterated by Mah. Pride was... Interesting, first turn I learned by the bad way that Solo needs a 8, and didn't wanted to cheat mi only severe (crappy first turn's hand). Also, mi opponent never was affected by Solo, since he lost the few flips he wanted to cheat. But in the third turn he drained Man's hand and did 2 to her. Midnight Stalker survived this time... Until turn 2, when a Bully Rooster Rider beat the crap out of him (killing him in a single activation) and Rami finished him when he tried to run away (he couldn't hide enough from everybody). At least he scored Plant Explosives and Breakthrough for me. Again, we entered in the shop at 11 and must left at 14, and only managed to play two and a half turns. I can be a bit slow, and my opponent isn't faster than me, but I think that with all the things you must track, this game is slower than it's previous edition.
  2. Mmm I was agreed with outcast having very few obeys, and they are limited. And pointing that Outcast maybe weak in obeying, but they have other shenanigans.
  3. Parker and Sue can push friendlies towards scheme markers, and Parker makes them shoot if bandits. Bandidos and Dead Outlaws can make people near to scheme markers to take actions. Von Schill can make people to use the equipment upgrades. Few pseudo-lures, but other shenanigans.
  4. Anyways, there's no sense to have a defensive trigger that buries you and reduce damage, and make it "when succeeding", if you win the duel Colette doesn't suffer any damage.
  5. Because librarian has armor 1, if she has shielded, she is immune to damage 2, so it's needed at least damage 3 to deal damage to her.
  6. He's saying that if the damage is 2, Librarian don't suffer any damage at all.
  7. I usually don't put the Shield on the Librarian, but on one of the Henchman (or both). Also use to prioritize the Rocket Boots a bit over the Shield. But those are my preferences. Anyway, obviously you think Reinforced Assault Shield is good as it is, and I think it wouldn't be bad to see it get an extra bit for not seeing it going down in a single activation of any model. Not saying the Shield is bad, only that it could be a bit improved and yet wouldn't be too strong.
  8. I'm thinking about her attacking a friendly model with HtW, who relent. That's 4 cards for damage, picking you the card you want to use and drawing the rest. Not sure for how long would last Kitty attacking an enemy Yasunory.
  9. Yes, and if her target has HtW (like Yasunori) she draws 3 cards per action.
  10. In fact, Engineers give shielded to any model, construct or not, what they do to constructs is to heal 1. And shielding 4/5 is already a thing, there's no need to imagine. Any Freikorps with an Assault Shield and the Engineer tactical is on Shielded 4, and 5 if it's the Librarian. I don't see the Shielded +3 from Von Schill as a big thing, it's a Master AP for shielded.
  11. Having never faced a TT crew, but looking all the posts (and having faced the Brewmaster) I think Chi is not such a problem but the Drunken Kung Fu. Shenlong won the National without Monks, he does everything by himself, and really I think is really bad that Drunken Kung Fu affects damage flips. Changing that would make him less oppressive. Also think that Kitty Dumont drawing 4-6 cards per turn is insane, that trigger should be "enemy only"
  12. What do you think about give a look to Von Schill's Equipment Upgrades? I think some of them are in really good place, but costing a Master's action and being of one use, maybe some of them could be a little improved. The Rocket Boots and the Rocket Launcher are really good upgrades. The Reinforced Assault Shield is also good, but being a Master action maybe shielded +2 is a bit short, don't think it would break the game making it Shielded +3 and make it to last more than two hits. The Land Mines are useful, but I keep feeling bad for being worse a Minefield than a Pit Trap, it's a nonsense. It should be Hazardous (damage 2) but I understand it would be completely out of control so much damage per action, but at least they could be also Injured +1 like the Pit traps, or maybe staggered or something. Or maybe make something like Hazardous (damage 1 2) and make it dangerous also for the models near the marker? Don't know just an idea, but really seems bad that a hole with sticks is better than a explosive mine. The Grenade Belt is definitely the upgrade that needs help the most. I think both grenades should have some extra effect for being an option. Make the Clockwork Grenade add Injured +1 to its effect, and make a good offensive option; and make the Flash Grenade add Stunned and make of it a good disruptive option.
  13. You can always attack your models with Aionus and give them Fast. Even better if they are buried, so you don't need to keep them near him.
  14. It's easier to give out fast to opponents, since every Obliteration model has a attack that out Fast on enemies. The trick is to put Fast on activated enemies, or rely in Aionus pass tokens to deny the enemy activations with Fast.
  15. To be honest, Taelor is also in the crew with the cheapest Covetous Cravings model, and almost the only model worth fast (viks cannot benefit from fast, Bishop is already fast, so Taelor and Vanessa are the best targets for fast, being the other options the Ronin, Big Jake and Desperate Mercy). Also, I doubt Hannah has 3 actions, and I expect Wyrd to clarify this in the FAQ. Arik is 10ss and doesn't have 3 actions, as many other models (Mature Nephilim, the Captain, Killjoy or the Metal Golem, for example)
  16. Would you give a try to them in Henchman Hardcore? I wouldn't know which model add to Pride+Wrath+Envy
  17. A 3/4/5 weapon is better than a 3/5/6? Even with a to damage, the best it can do is your moderate, and the is only if you have not charged this turn, not very in line with Nekima.
  18. Well, Since each summoner Master could be engaging Taelor and still summon out of her bubble, doesn't seems like a real problem to avoid Welcome to Malifaux.
  19. Soulstone Miner indeed looks like needs some kind of limitations to their unstoppable mobility and nearly immunity to attacks. For example, a new tactical action that may only be taken when buried and allows to drop a "tunnel marker" Anywhere out of enemy deployment, and its "The Earth Beneath Your Feet" action states that it must unbury in base contact with a tunnel marker, so you would be pointing where is gonna unbury the miner before doing it (and a single miner couldn't bury and unbury in the next turn).
  20. While I would like to see some kind of improvement on Taelor, I'm not sure if she really needs it, or is simply that her role is quite redundant in her crew. She hits hard (as the Viktorias), is reasonably mobile (as the Viks), as hard as anyone else on the crew (not much, is a squishy crew), and ss hungry (as the Viks). She's not an autotake on her crew, as they are Mad Dog, Alyce or that kind of too-good-to-not-take-them-but-not-so-necessary-out-of-keyword henchmen, but still add to the crew things like Ruthless (invaluable versus some crews), Welcome to Malifaux (also quite useful versus many summoners) and Bring It, useful in all circumstances but specially versus bubble crews. She could enjoy some little buff, like the second ram trigger not being so useful as a straight Puncture. It could be changed to something like "this attack ignores defensive triggers", or Demise abilities (don't have any of this in the faction), or directly damage irreducible (not only from ss).
