Wow, this has quickly derailed into an overall discussion threat on how Gremlins are supposedly ranked. I like the recent errata, it seems a lot of issues were adressed that have been complained about - reasonably, that is. I am still amazed Doppelganger hasnt been changed (but no complains from me:-P). I think it is really hard to adress changes andat the same time keep what is unique to masters/models and maintaining balance. That, plus GG changes affect gameplay and 'tiers', so with gg17 for example, some playstyles or masters in Neverborn are less seen because of frame for murder

Tannen also makes it easier for Dreamer to get his other summons, for example a Madness for a 7. Though that is only the.case for actual masks, not stoned or daydreamed ones. If you go the Tannen route, take Wings of Darkness(you should, anywasy, imo). actually, with the daydream cuddle, you can even get away with hiring primordial magic for the extra card and sacrificing it later if you need daydreams. Or use it to help you score claim jump on turn two, if you are going to sacrifice it anyway.

I was going to suggest Hoffman, Toolkit and Large Arachnid. Give it plus on Armour, hope for tomes in your hand to reduce damage by another 2 and try.to block Yasu with it. But then, I have never played against Yasunori. The more I read about him, the more of a Warhamer40k vibe he gets (sorry). Basically, he is the new ,incredibly powerful model that you should/have to buy and if your opponent isn't especially prepared for it, he will fight a downhill battle. It also doesnt seem to need skill to work, just dont overextend it and you are good. So, basically just like 40k was. We have been discussing which master to take, or which models, if there is a Yasunori. But that basically means, what to bring if your opponent declares TT, just in case they bring one. I know, schemes etc. incluence it, and you often tailor your list against the faction your facing, but in case of.Yasunori, its just one model. Now I wish I had played a couple of games against him to have a better understanding of it. Just hope Wyrd doesnt go the road of power-model creep.

The maon difference is that collette manopulates scheme markers and ap management, while Ramos works with his summons to win his strategies and schemes and to suppprt his main beaters. For tactics and more info, check the excellebt pullmyfinger article.

Ramos is an excellent addition to any arcanist master. His style is basically summoning steam arachnids and buffing them. His arachnids can be used for msny purposes, like board and activation control. His base crew tends to be rather elite, as he summons later to expand. Recommended starting purchases: - Ramos box - Toolkit or Electrical creation - Additional 6pack Steam arachnids Later: - Johan - Maybe mech rider - Emissary - Large steam arachnids Also recommended: - Angelica - raptors - Union miner

For Voices Pandora, thats a small ss pool and risky without neither Depression nor Wings. I'd rather go (though similar): Pandora, full cache, Voices, Fugue, Depression/Wings of Darkness 8ss Prim.magic 2 ss Iggy, enraged tantrum, 5ss Doppelganger, 1kfaces 8ss Lilitu, malifaux provides, 8ss Mr. Graves, 1kfaces, 9ss Emissary, conflux of sorrow 10ss (Or scheme runners)

She can, primordial magic too. And doppelg. can copy that.

I'd say it depends stongly if frame4murder is in the pool. if it is, i'd guess its denial mostly, though it would be still ok. But without, it should be fairly easy. Dreamer with Otherwordly (Accomplice) can score you a head each turn. Even better if Chompy Dreamer witgh extra Sh AP. also, he can give other models fast, for example teddy. And you have many opportunities to create nice set.ups. activate dreamer, summon 2 daydreams near target (-2wp), give lilitu fast. Chain activate into daydreams to push teddy and lilitu to line them up for smell fear combo. Chain activate into lilitu who lures target, teddy hits, lilitu walks and picks.up the head. Situational but certainly doable and just one possibility. Lilith can tangle models far away into your own ranks to pick up the head at your leisure later. Or have the cherub nearby for a (0) interact pick up. Lilith can also deny los or movement to prevent enemy from getting tothe head marker. One question, picking up head is an interact, right? so Pandora/primordial magic can make it impossible for models to actually pick up heads?

Thanks alot. Was thinking terrors over raptors as they qould also be avle to claim table quarters etc. Mhm, i guess the most reasonable thing would be to buy the master box first and use the arcanists i already have to find out what i want...now i just have to be reasonable :-P

I thought about night terrors because they are cheaper and incorporeal,abd would combine then with practiced production. Though, i guess that has its limitations. How useful is it to have scheme runners, say canine remains, as beasts? Does it have significant benefits over other arcanist scheme runners?

Playing with the thought of starting marcus, but don't want to invest too much. I find it hard to decide between the scheme running beasts, though I am leaning towards either canine remains or night terrors. How would you rank - or which would be your pick if you could only choose one - the following: molemen, night terrors, canine remains, corrupted hounds, guild hounds, hoarcat pride, (silurids)? Well, in Arcanists, copying joss arc axe and thus ignoring a ton of protective tech is.nice. plus, if you habe the.scrap marker and card, you can give joss armour +1, so that he has armour 3 for 2 turns, depending on activation order. Not sure about thunders, but nice damage spreads that ignore armour (built in, not triggers) etc are nice. Also lures and the like.

For now, and for your budget, your buy-list is fine. Although it would be nice if you could split the generalist upgrade deck with someone. And I would also say for a budget buy list, blessed and ice dancers fall in similar roles, so that if it was my list, I'd ditch the blessed and the rulebook (its a couple of stories, I think....4?) and use that money to get another madter's box for flexibility. On ironsides vs mei. I have them both and like them both. But i play mei much more often. Instead of captain, i often run angelica. And i only run mages with toni, though they are cool to buff you henchmen As you mentioned tt. Mei is a sweet trap to start tt, and i will give in someday :-D. When playing mei i often use: willie, emissary, union miner (a single one), large arachnid (similar role as rail worker), angelica, raptors, sparks

@BFOmega: I wouldn't be surprised, though I'd recommend them as.very valid choices nontheless. @Op: I'd say Ramos compliments Raspy better. I like Toni too, but for a close combat master that can support her crew, I am a fan of Mei Feng. So most of the time, I chose between Ramos.and her. I really.should bring out poor Toni more.often, as I think she gets a lot of bad rep undeservedly. Anyway, my buy list for Raspy would be: Snowstorm, Ice Dancers, Arcane Emissary (you want him for Toni, and I find him also solid for Ramos), Blessed. Then.if Ramos: Toolkit, an additional arachnid swarm. Eventually Mech.Rider, large arachnids are also really nice. If Toni: Amina o.ce she comes out, Willie. General buys, that are generally worthwhile: Effigy, angelica, raptors l, johan.

Same thing with other actions across factions; for example the Neverborn upgrade 'Malifaux Provides' lets you discard a scheme marker to heal two; even if your not damaged, you can still discard the marker. On Amina, I'm really excited to get her. Also, the new book will probably bring a new style for Toni. She might even go from underdog to the new hotness.

Are you using Scale75 colours?

I could totally see brewmaster being able to summon whisky gamin with an upgrade. Discard scrap withinn x an lower poison condition on this model by y to summon...

0If you want to include the Emissary into the crew (which is a nice way to give an additional AP to Langston, for example), you can combo him with a Large Arachnid. 1. Activate Toolkit, optional: Give plus armour to Emissary. Move up to 10’’(less might be adviseable). 2. Activate Arachnid. Double walk next to Toolkit (or within 2") --> you could charge, but because of armour, that might eat cards unneccessarily) 3. Activate Emissary. Toss a card for extra AP for Arachnid later. Magnetize to Toolkit. Walk. Do whatever with 2. AP (scheme marker). Use extra AP on Arachnid to kill Toolkit for 2 scrap. You could try to save a step by charging the toolkit with the arachnit and possibly killing it (might need cheating, but you'd toss a card with the emissary anyways), and use the emissary as backup in case the charge does not kill the toolkit.(Toss card, walk, walk, use ap with arachnid). but in the order written above, you can.squeeze an extra ap out of the emissary since you magnetize. Lets you drop a sheme marker for strategy or the arachnid to eat later.

Some updates at last. Went to my first tournament - and lost. Not always by as much as I would have thought, though. Painted the Emissary for said tournament, but never actually used it in the end. Then, some better fotos of the Ice Dancer. Nothing fancy. Finally bought the M&SU box. Ramos' sculpt is a little bit boring so I put Howard's tentacle-thingies on him. The backpack is a 40k spare bit (binoculars Imperial Guard). The conversion has already been done by others, so curtsey to whoever got the idea first. Ads much more character. I placed the bottom tentacles in a way that they mimic Ramos arm movements, as if he was controlling them. Howard got another 40k spare bit (flame thrower tank). Need to attach the cables.
