  1. Errata cards are Blessed of December, Mr Tannen, and Samael Hopkins.
  2. I can't find anything explicit, where is it in the rules? That said, there isn't anything that allows retroactive scoring either. Though the end of game sequence (rulebook p 74) could be interpreted that way, but I think it takes a lot of squinting. That (also) said, not revealing a scheme when it outright says to reveal it is cheating (since the other player now "know" that you do not have that scheme), whether to just forfeit the VP for that scheme rather than completely disqualify the player is up to the tournament organiser.
  3. Since you want someone who has never played it before to be able to do well, I wonder if it might not be good to make a really straightforward crew.
  4. For Januari I painted: 2 Soulstone Miner 2 Ice Dancer 4 x 6 = 24 Soulstones. Closeups here. Carrion Emissary, Anna Lovelace, Nicodem is on the table for Februari. We'll see how far I get on that...

There is a Df 12 duel to take damage from the blast you get when Willie walks, so a Df 5 model only has 46% chance to take damage before cheating, and while it's a low card if you have to cheat, it's still a card from your hand. So you are either paying AP or cards to get the damage. That said it is a decent way to do that 1 damage on all the M&SU guys with armour as well since it's only his Demo Charge attack that ignores armour, the walk blast is normal damage.
  6. Witchling Stalkers are one piece models.
  7. Ice Dancers. I started out from my Frozen Hearts scheme, with the skin and grey clothes, but replaced the greens and browns with the light blue from my Performers to tie in with the Showgirls. Doesn't hurt that those are all cold colours . I went with some warmer hair colours though, especially the first one, to get a little contrast.
  8. Understudy Stoke with Cassandra (stone for the ) is much more reliable than Lazarus.
  9. #11 - Shadow of Fallen Leaves - Keeping the Secret #13 - The Storm Garden (might be the one BigHammer is thinking of) #15 - Your Lucky Day (features Tannen and Graves, but not really about Ten Thunders) #19 - Ram in the Thicket #23 - Might is Right (features Genbu, but not really about Ten Thunders) #25 - Puppet strings
  10. Having the Dog spend a 8 and Sebastian a stone to draw one card and one stone doesn't seem at all useful to me. 8 isn't a bad card in your typical resser crew and the chances of getting a better one is pretty slim. Sure you can gain a stone for a 6if you have it in hand, but even that deal gets pretty questionable if you don't have exactly a 6to summon with and use a higher card. I can see having a Necropunk skipping around Philip placing scheme markers, the only card you need is any 7 for Leap so you get good cycling and net 1 or 2 cards. Philip is also effective to push/lure and the punk can advance a bit while doing his leaping so you don't need to leave them that far behind for later game.
  11. 4" isn't that close either, it's not like you are going to need "Don't mind me" to place the marker. And using an AP to place a marker to get a VP is what you would expect, and unless the opponent is hiding all his models in a corner you probably don't need to travel as far as for many other scheme marker schemes. I think having a suitable strategy where you either need to congregate somewhere or are killing each other anyway has as much effect on Dig their graves than having special scheme marker talents.
  12. I've seen it before and what it tells me is that it takes a ridiculous amount of effort to polish a turd. So I still think the analogy stands for the Slate Ridge Mauler... On a more serious note, if you really like the SRM model, bring it and let it amble around sucking on its own, don't waste the rest of your crew on it.
  13. Imbued Energies is quite popular for fast. But I guess well rehearsed is a decent option. Using the AP of good models to buff/heal/move a Slate Ridge Mauler is the very definition of trying to polish a turd, new upgrade or not.
  14. Accusation is non-Peon vs non-Peon which is all or most models in typical crews, Tail 'em is Minion vs Master and Henchmen which is limited subset of models in both crews. So it's not like Tail 'em lacks restrictions, just that they are more on crew building instead of activation order. If you build a crew with a support Master and a front line of Minions and Enforcer it becomes a lot harder to do Tail 'em and Minions that reach the Master are more likely to be in the middle of the enemy crew with all the consequences of that. It will still be somewhat easy for some crews, e.g. Nicodem summoning expendable Necropunks to Leap ahead and spott (on the turn after they are summoned of course) before going splat, but that is true for any Scheme.
  15. With regards to Joss there are some Kirai regulars that ignore armour, Datsue Ba, Ikiryo, Shikome (and well Onryo too, but they need a suit for it). Nurses are extra fun against damage focused models without any Ml attacks (like Mages) as every suit is useful.

Yes. You will still take Wp duel (and suffer side effects like Pandora stuff if you fail), but you don't get Paralysed so your Activation doesn't end.
  17. It isn't listing strengths (at least not directly), it list "focus area", i.e. what are you most likely to spend their Activation doing. For some Masters this will just be their strengths as you will tend to do what they are good at, but if a Master has some "necessary evil" it might still get ranked even if it isn't very strong in itself. E.g. Colette uses Scheme Markers as fuel for several abilities, so in addition to what you need for schemes you will have to plan ahead for that (e.g. should you Walk Colette over there so that model can (0) interact from her or would it be better to summon a Dove and use it as scheme marker?). In the current chart the numbers are ranks, not points. So 1 is the area the master's primary focus, 2 is the secondary focus and so on.
  18. Only things that explicitly say that they are Conditions are Conditions. There are various other lingering effects, e.g. Howard Langston's Steam Cloud, but these are not Conditions and are subsequently not affected by rules that remove or otherwise interact with Conditions.
  19. I think the primary reason to bring Mortimer is Chatty and Fresh Meat, only use the (0) on Corpse bloat for markers and spend his AP on pushing your dudes around.
  20. Upgrades that started on a Master doesn't count for Show of Force. Peons can't deny Leave Your Mark. A good read as usual and congrats on the win.
  21. Ohaguro Bettari's aura denying Df triggers makes any rider easy to kill whenever you want to.
  22. If you have 12 Arachnids I think you should build 9 Steam Arachnids and 1 Steam Arachnid Swarm. Soulstone Miners and Union Miners are well themed with Ramos. Mechanical Rider I don't think shares any theme with Ramos, it's not a robot built in Ramos' labs or workshops, it's an otherworldly apparition that happens to have the construct characteristic. Arcane Effigy is similar (it was built by Zoraida), as much as I love the little bugger. These guys should be firmly in the shared Arcanist pool if there is one. Angelica or Cassandra can be super useful in any Arcanist crew (Practiced Production is kind of filthy), but they share zero theme with Ramos. Anna doesn't share any theme either and don't have any particular synergy with Ramos (not that she is bad in herself).
  23. The problem with Oiron's lure is that they don't have all the suits built in so you will very often need to cheat to get it off at all. You might have enough cards to keep one luring Oiran going, but with more it's quite unlikely. If you don't want Misaki to get charged giving her the Disguised upgrade is going to be a lot more reliable, and combined with the errata making Deadly Dance a (0) it can get tricky to attack Misaki with close attacks at all. I guess Oiron can be used as a cheap minion to throw smoke bombs if you don't want anyone to be able to shoot at her either.
  24. I haven't been in a painting mood for while, I was perhaps a little burnt out. But now I've painted my Soulstone Miners. The base inserts they come with blended quite nicely into my regular Arcanist base design, so I didn't have to convert anything there, just shave the edges a bit. Paint scheme is my standard red and white M&SU, many drill bits are made from a pretty dark alloy so I went with dark grey for the heads.
