  1. So far, I have used mainly Katanaka Sniper, Peasants, Ten Thunders Brothers, the Effigy, the Sensei, Monk of Low River and the Emissary together. But while it is excellent at scheme-running, I felt the list lacked some 'Oooomph'. Guess the solution would really be (similar to your advice for TT Lynch) to leave the Sensei at home and pack something with more clout. But I'm not sure I'm ready to do that yet ... (The 12-steps recovery program teaching TT players all over the world to play ... gasp ... without Sensei Yu!) An alternative could be to use the Sensei more aggressively, he isn't a bad beater by himself, once he's not doing all the scheme-schenanigans.
  2. I've used the Emissary und the Monk for the three card draw, and I don't think it makes much sense to use somebody like the Samurai. Because other minis want to do stuff, instead of hanging out with the Emissary and draw cards. But for that price, I have no problems drawing 9-12 extra cards in the first few rounds and then send the Monk off to do other stuff (when the Emissary engages and it becomes increasingly difficult to keep the two together).
  3. Thanks for the report! Any chance of coverage of the other games, too?
  4. Yes, I've done that (and I liked it!), but partially the problem might be that I use Sensei Yu, too, so HE can give Huggy Fast as well. Maybe it's more a case of Sensei or Emissary, rather than both ...
  5. So far, it's been doing 'okayish' for me with Lynch, but I acknowledge that I mightn't have used it quite optimal.
  6. What does Sonnia do? She makes my stuff dead, that's what she does. Almost every game. I hate her ...
  7. Yes, vallt-geist, and to me it almost seems like people are deliberately creative to get both the Waldgeists and the Doppelganger wrong ... Sometimes people even vary their names within a single paragraph, as if to cover all their bases.
  8. Nice report, very clear and easy to follow. Thanks for the effort, will look for the rest. But why did you never measure when moving figures? That irritated me ...
  9. Just remember that aces, which are discarded during the opponent's turn, are NOT going back in the hand. That's a mistake that I used to make ...
  10. Thanks, that was unexpected. Does Dreadball offer more such gems?
  11. But because of the '4 Darkened models' you can include a lot of the stuff people love about NB Lynch in TT Lynch, too. Plus all the good stuff that only TT can bring ... Just sayin'. And I find that apart from Lynch, Huggy and the Shadow Emissary, I rarely need anybody else relying on Brilliance. Huggy hands it out, Lynch, too, if I need to, and both Hugy and the Emissary profit from that. My experience is that the Illuminated are often overkill and/or not autonomus enough for my liking. But horses for courses, I guess ...
  12. I beg to differ here. I've started out with Lynch as Neverborn, and I liked him a lot. Then, a couple of months later, I tried him with TT, and it's as if somebody pressed the NOX-booster on my crew! Seriously, Sensei Yu, Shadow Emissary and Recalled Training makes this a completely different experience. I think, TT Lynch is stronger than NB Lynch, though ymmv, but they are at least equal. In TT, there are also lots of models that profit from his aces: rail workers, tengu, monks of high river and last but not least, the TT brothers. If you have the right ace, that's an extra card for each of them. Somethimes, I take all three just make sure I draw three extra cards per turn (plus two extra if Lynch is last plus two times a mulligan (3) with the help of Sensei Yu).
  13. Awesome reports, thanks for that. The team-thing sounds like a pretty fun set-up, wouldn't mind trying that.
  14. Too many masters, too little time ... :-/
  15. Are they all metal? Might be interested in VS.
  16. I'm sorely tempted, but Gremlins is the ONE faction I managed to stay ways from so far, I better keep it that way.
  17. Read through your blog, thanks for the effort. The reports are good to read and easy to follow, looking forward for more. Just one thing on the tournament report: Instead of having the three Strategies for all games right at the beginning, I would include them in each report, too. I had to scroll a few times furiously up, to see what the Strategy was again. Apart from that, great reports.
