  1. Okay, got to play the 'Three Jorogumo' (sounds like a movie title) list against Sonnia last night. Usually, Sonnia is a bit of my arch-nemesis, but this game not so much. At first, it seemed bad, but only because we made the mistake of allowing Sonnia to cast into combat without randomizing. She flipped the RJ with a double negative flip and that way killed the Jorogumo before he was able to reactivate, kill the Witchling and eat his fill. If we would have played it correctly, the Sonnia player would most likely have given up bottom of turn 1. The lateral movement of the list (including the Shadow Emissary) is mind-boggling. With up to four pushes from the equipment, the pushes from the Jorogumo themselves and the extra push from Emissary, plus Fast & Nimble, the list is in your face turn 1. And the spiders are both durable and heavy hitting, and it's really, really frustrating for the opponent to get one down below htk only for it to eat its fill and fill back up. And when they finally manage to put one down - there is still two more waiting ... And the big bases combined with the 3" engagement range means, it's really easy to push the spiders right in the middle of numerous enemies (had we not made the mistake, Sonnia would have had to randomize between the Jorogumo and three of her own guys to attack it) and basically pin big parts of the opposing force. If they split up too much, they are also easy prey. Will definitely play this list again, and I don't think Yamaziko and Smoke & Shadows (that was the original idea mentioned in the Schemes & Stones podcast for a 'Shuffle' ninja list) is needed. I much prefer the Emissary for the extra equipment, the extra equipment push, the Fast and his overall utility.
  2. Yeah, another battle report from Argentbadger. Very enjoyable read, thanks for that. Even if I wish there were less reports with Levi around, he seems to be everywhere these days (and very impressed that Maria, as such a high ranking Outcast player, never seems to play Leveticus!).
  3. Thanks for the report, very easy to follow.
  4. I'm in the process of building three Jorugumo for a McCabe list ...
  5. Always Rising Sun and Woke Up With A Hand! Huggy tends to die really fast when somebody focusses on him (or I try him recklessly in the fray) and he usually comes back at least once, if not twice a game. The ability to deliver Brilliance via Play For Blood I use so much (especially to make Huggy come back), I seriously couldn't imagine playing Lynch without that upgrade. Those two are basically baked in, for me. A lot of the time I also take Wanna See A Trick. I don't use it that often, but it's a warm feeling to have it in my pocket if something REALLY needs to die. Also, the look on people's faces when Lynch dishes out something like 17 to 19 damage a turn is very worthwhile. Huggy used to get Addict, when I still played him as Neverborn. As Ten Thunders, he gets Recalled Training and Smoke Grenades. Didn't have much luck with Fears Given Form, I always ended up in a cluster of my own models.
  6. Love this kind of battle report format, because it makes it really easy to understand even if you have no knowledge about some of the models (for me, that's gremlins, the only faction I don't play), so cheers for the effort and looking forward to more ...
  7. That is great stuff, thank you for this. Been using the The Breach app, which unfortunately doesn't include the GG schemes, so this is most welcome.
  8. C&P error? I guess, the thread title is correct?
  9. I think somebody posted a quote from some Reddit thread that the mounted master is the Resser one ...
  10. Sounds rough for poor Jacob. Thanks for the report. You seem to be experimenting with Levi's stuff, care to comment on your thoughts on Joss and Teddy?
  11. Not what I wanted to hear ... Trying to avoid getting her as well.
  12. Thanks for the report, as usual very good read and easy to follow. How crucial do you think Hannah is for that crew?
  13. But then the strategy MinionJack outlined doesn't work start of turn 1, which is where the concern was raised.
  14. Great list, and I agree with almost all of it, especially 3. and 4.
  15. Cool stuff, always enjoying campaign reports. Please keep'em coming, looking forward to more.
  16. Cool report, very enjoyable and easy to follow. And it inspired me to maybe try out Nekima with my Lynch, too. Thanks for the effort ...
  17. Thanks for the report, really enjoyed it. But how did the Carrion Emissary summon a flesh construct?
  18. That is only true if you've been playing for some time and have a lot of miniatures at your disposal. Especially for beginners, this always-churned-out truth isn't really helpful, because as a new player, you won't have a case full of minis.
  19. Monks of the Low River are nice with the Shadow Emissary for an extra 3 cards per turn; not too shappy for 4 SS.
  20. I find them pretty uninspriring as well. Ah well, there's enough chaos doggy in other systems, and not every new mini can be a bomb (like those reporters last week).
  21. Most of the times, I disregard fluff and try and build an effective crew, but sometimes it's fun to run something completely thematic (like Lynch's 'pusher' crew with Emissary, Sensei, Graves and Wings of Wind - so everybody gets to 'push' or a Dreamer crew with all his stuffed toys - two Teddys and some Stitched Together, and maybe the Widow to bring him to bed).
