  1. I think his look is absolutely within theme, being that big ol' Hatfield/McCoys Hillbilly/Redneck vibe. It is the art/aesthetic that drew me to Gremlins in the first place. I'm digging his look, and can't wait for new sculpts from Crossroads, particularly the Bushwackers, Sammy LaCroix, and Trixiebell.
  2. A stupid question, I know, but I have to ask. I am assuming the different colored translucent bases are faction-related. I want to use the brown bases for my gremlins. What's the best way to paint and display them? Ideas and comments please!
  3. You're gonna find most of your metal boxed sets on eBay, just search "malifaux" and there's usually well over 2000 listings of both metal and plastics blisters and sets.
  4. I have found that the zombie chihuahua in the "Body of Evidence" box set has the most microscopic parts, but looks oh so good put together. I can't wait to see the fiddly details that will come in the "Bayou Boss", "The Kin", and "Closing Time" Gremlin box sets.
  5. Well, back on subject, I got the new style of cards with my Killjoy model. It's of the same plastic-like construction as the retro deck, just a different texture (retro deck-pebble finish, stat card-linen finish). Either way, I like the construction, as they seem to be sturdier and more crease-resistant, like many standard plastic playing card decks available today. I love using the retro deck, and have no problems with the finish. I never mark on my cards themselves, and always put them in sleeves, to keep them in pristine condition. I think Wyrd made a good decision with the choice they made.
  6. Define "brick and mortar stores" please?
  7. Valhallan42nd...Is that close to Sweet Creamy Jesus? Love the phrase!
  8. Mr. Littler, you are surely talented! I dig all your work!
  9. That turn-key idea RULES! Very clever! Well done!
  10. Seriously, this is a Malifaux miniatures thread, and you always post miniatures and figures that are not related to the game...cake toppers at that. I thought there was a restriction against non-Malifaux figs. I come here to be inspired by others work on Malifaux...MALIFAUX! If I wanted GW inspiration, I would go to the ton of sites dedicated to those games. If I wanted to see cake toppers, I'd go to wedding sites.
  11. A kidney and a bottle of wine!...Sir! You are truly twisted! I knew there was a reason I liked you!...Hahaha!
  12. Hands down, that's some of the sickest work I've seen yet. I have the Body of Evidence boxed set, and that just plain inspires me to get to work on mine. McMourning is one of my faves, and THAT is the best one yet. Well done!
  13. The vast majority of players in my area of South Jersey area have been Arcanists and Ten Thunders (quite a few Raspy players). I'm one of a few playing Guild, with Lady J, Perdita, and Sonnia crews in my case. I'm really psyched to start working on my Dr McMourning crew. There are also Outlaws being played a bit, with a few Von Schills mixed in (I do hope they have the Steam Trunk in the new VS plastics crew).
  14. There is currently a Hannah sculpt being released as part of being a contributor to the "Through the Breach" Kickstarter.
  15. I have to disagree with RagingRodian. Take into account what will be seen from the gaming table, you will not see the eyes, unless you get real close. I think you most certainly achieved the scale effect on these beautifully-painted figs.
  16. Very unique, to say the least! Nicely done! Since I play Rasputina, I can help you with the "icing".
  17. Well done, sir! I love the portability and the weathered look of the wood.
  18. Very nice work, sir! I'm not a particular fan of the original pose she is sculpted as.
  19. I hate to criticise, but your choice of cloth to display your figs on is way too busy, distracting from the nice work. A simple plain, non-patterned sheet would've been so much better.
  20. Macdavilo, your English is a whole lot better than my Spanish, so no apologies needed for language. Welcome.
  21. I feel it's always good to wash off that mild release agent, which lets the adhesives work better and primer stick better. Just a little dishwashing liquid and warm water, and you're set.
