Jonas Albrecht
OK, he looks awesome XD Now tell me Nino lost the stupid dildo hat. Nope. Nino is still shaped for her pleasure.
Mike3838
It has just the right amount of Fluff: Almost none. Seriously...?
Jonas Albrecht
Seriously...? There's a few pages in the front of the books, and before each faction chapter, and each model's little entry, but that's about it.
Da Git
There's a few pages in the front of the books, and before each faction chapter, and each model's little entry, but that's about it. So about as much as the Storm of Shadows book then? That's unfortunate because I thought that book didn't have enough as it was. Hopefully it's good and at least the cronicles kinda make up for it. Will be a loooong wait till my book & thunders arrive! Wishful dreaming here, but any chance the dawn serpant (drake) became an enforcer? I really wanted to put recalled training on him... did it in one game by mistake & it was awesome!! Also with the hats... isn't it still there in the pic? & how do you get Nino's gansta hat as a dildo?? is my mind seriously not that dirty
Disgruntled Goat
http://i.imgur.com/ZKJKPUm.jpg That doesn't mean the miniature will be based on this picture, though. What's the art on the Arsenal Deck card look like?

It's the same. ---------- Post added at 12:03 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:57 AM ---------- Speaking of Arsenal Decks: I love them. Toting around cards was a pain in the ass before. Ironmonger
How about some art of the Steam Trunk and Von Schill? Any changes to the Specialist? Hannah? How about the upgrades "The Shirt Comes Off" or other Von Schiell specifics? Oh, and thanks for the info so far, guys! I've ordered M2E, but have no clear idea when it'll ship... ...along with my lovely Hannah from TtB...

Mason
Did the Horror Duel mechanism change any way? I especially think about the situation when you obey an enemy model to target one of your Terrifying models and cheat down the test to force a paralyzation on the obeyed model. The Hungering Darkness's Heed My Voice now makes the controlled model treat the Hungering Darkness as a friendly model for the duration of its action. Since you've mentioned it, did you play Through the Breach? How was it? As fun as any roleplaying game demo. Didn't really get into the mechanics, but there doesn't seem to be any major issue with them. I'd reorganize the character sheets if I were Wyrd, though. Mike3838
Re: Fluff That's very disappointing. We were told the story was going to "move forwards", so expected a fair chunk of story development. Re: Francisco Love that new art work. Much better than the one on the beta cards! So that's both Perdita and Francisco that got retooled for some reason, and have multiple artworks. Did the rest of the family stay the same? Mike3838
Cheers Jonas, Ironmonger, Von Schill's art in the M2E book is the same as the old art, I'm informed
Ironmonger
Huh. Steam Trunk looks cool, not what I was expecting. I was expecting... I don't know... like one of those old double sided folding leather-and-wood wardrobe trunks mixed with an early steam powered quadracycle, festooned with tubes and syringes? Cheers Jonas, Ironmonger, Von Schill's art in the M2E book is the same as the old art, I'm informed That makes me a sad puppet. :Sad_Puppet2:
Fenton Crack
Does the new book actually detail what the avatars are? or is that a surprise for anouther day? What are the rules like, can you start as an avatar? Also does the new book have much fluff? what is it (character stories, timeline update, side storys, etc)? Cheers! No pics or specifics to individual masters. For an avatar you choose the Avatar Upgrade Card, which is two sided and a public purchase. It's doubled sided with a Pre-Manifest side with abilities and actions. The other side has the Manifested Avatar side you flip to when you Manifest the actual avatar, with abilities and the like that replace those on the first side. You also pick a Manifest card (1 of 5) that is not public info that has the variable manifestation requirements. When they are met, you reveal the card, push everything 2" away, replace your model with the avatar, you choose a "manifest event", unique to that avatar or a regular one (details sketchy there) and continue to play with your regular stat card with the avatar card in addition, keeping same wounds, conditions, AP, and upgrades. Sevorin
Regarding through the breach RPG. I enjoy the mechanics and especially like that as a caster you can manipulate your spell any way you choose and it just raises, or lowers the TN. Very flexible! For example, let me use a "D&D" spell for reference: Magic Missile. I can cast Magic Missile and TN 10 for the normal effect. But I want to cast it to do an area effect, so the TN goes up, or I want it to last for two rounds, TN goes up. Or I say it will only effect constructs, TN goes down. These are just some examples, and the player can choose what he likes. Really cool.
Linus Mcmold
http://i.imgur.com/ZKJKPUm.jpg The first picture was ok in my opinion, but he looks just awesome in this one. It's a shame that Perditas art isn't that detailed, but her mini should come out nice. I'm loving the changes, both ruleswise and artwise ones. Sevorin
The sizes really aren't that different, though. Any reason you couldn't make random encounter decks before? Eh? The sizes are standard card now. Most of us laminated 1.5 cards which meant there was a huge difference in size.
Fenton Crack
"Is that from the book or from the beta?" It is from pages 56-57 of the Malifaux 2E rulebook.
Jonas Albrecht
Any reason you couldn't make random encounter decks before? Because I didn't have the ability to purchase cards for factions I didn't collect before.
kaffis
Also does the new book have much fluff? what is it (character stories, timeline update, side storys, etc)? I haven't had time to sit down and read it, so I'm not sure what all it covers, but I did a quick page count for you. Not counting the intro to Malifaux timeline (which looks the same as 1.5, though I didn't compare side-by-side), there's around 7 pages at the beginning and 7 pages at the end. Then, each faction's chapter has 4 pages leading into the chapter plus a one-page faction primer. So that's around 42 pages out of a 280 page book, if I'm remembering the total page count right. Mack.Martin
Because I didn't have the ability to purchase cards for factions I didn't collect before. During the Canon Campaign over GenCon I used a set of M2E Arsenal Boxes (and my own beta version of Wave 2 cards) as my monster manual. It worked pretty well for "compact gaming" although I did have to "fudge" the numbers when it came to model skills. Like, how good is a Torakage at pickpocketing? That's gonna need to be in the RPG book, but on the fly I was able to just assign an appropriate number.
Marcalla
Steamtrunk. http://i.imgur.com/nEScLGU.jpg When I first read about the steam trunk, I pictured the trunk from Prachets Diskworld.
