I do think that $25 would be the right price tag for this model, if it were a Miss Model version of Barbaros, aka Barbarella. But it's not. It's an improperly scaled Nekima model. I also appreciate the effort to appease many of the complaints with a price reduction / refund, but it's still just a temporary fix, not an actual solution. It's another case of the genie being out of the bottle, this time with us already seeing Nekima's art, well before Crossroads was released, and now that we have seen the bad scaling issue, again, so soon after mega-Hannah who can't even fit in her designated box and the Female Multi Part Models who stand heads and shoulders above their male counterparts. We love the game. We love the models. What we don't love is the ever-growing track record of these little snafus. Mistakes happen. Repeated mistakes are less forgivable. Didn't Wyrd just get back from a trip to the factory to fix these scale problems? That's just my fistful of Guild Scrip.

Probably another reason why they're hiring someone who knows how to use Zbrush, so that the plastics can gain some actual textures while making the cuts a bit more logical in their placement.

Yes, every year we have asked, and, yes, every year they tell us "no". Maybe this year we can start a petition or poll or something for Wyrd to see just how much of a demand there really is for a change in policy. So far, the only winner is FedEx, as they get moar shipping money. Wyrd has to take the time to process, package, and ship multiple orders. Customers have to pay FedEx multiple times. International customers may even have to pay multiple customs fees. If we could save money on shipping, we could spend more money on actual product, which benefits Wyrd directly. With all of the changes Wyrd has gone through, for good or ill, can a Miss per $100 spent before shipping be considered, please?

Keep it simple. Focus on your flagship product. Maybe look into the areas where snafus repeatedly keep happening, and actually go about fixing them. The "they're a small company" excuse only goes so far. Let's look at Reaper, as an example. They're also a small company. They make their miniatures in house, -and- yet they have their own convention, Reapercon, where people can tour the facility, see how their miniatures are made, and really feel like part of the brand. So, yes, keep it basic, but host your own gathering of Wyrd enthusiasts, at your warehouse or even rent a hall. Conventions spring up all the time and grow larger every year. That, or, since Wyrd puts all of its eggs in the Gencon basket, move the warehouse from Georgia to Indianapolis. Maybe even close down the California location to reconsolidate all of their assets under one roof.

Yeah, $100 before shipping, unless they've changed it this year.

Yes, please focus on the flagship product Malifaux and its immediately relevant spinoff Through the Breach. Maybe give Puppet Wars some love, but let the rest go, at least until next year. No more evil babies, no more jetpack unicorns, no more kings of artifice. Just pure, unmitigated Malifaux UNTIL every single model is available in stores. Then you can branch out and stamp your brand on everything you can get your hands on. If Gencon is your official Malifaux breadwinner, make Adepticon or some other convention your time to roll out the other games. Hell, for a company that's been around since 2005 or so, where the heck is WyrdCon? And, I say again, don't even think about crowdfunding until at least after Gencon 2015 has come and gone.

And plenty of as yet unreleased puppet versions hiding in all of the books.

There's still alt art in the old books for a few characters that hasn't been made into models, such as an alt Lilitu, another alt Teddy, and presumably an alt Sonnia. Same goes for some of the art from the original Fate Decks. Some of the pictures don't even seem to resemble any of the known characters, such as what looks like Coppelius in drag for the Masks and one of the Tomes cards representing an Arcanist that is not Ramos, who I want to say is Ryle before he crossed the Breach.

That would be great! For the chopsticks, I was just going to use the top portion as a signpost, even if it says, "beef, pork, chicken, and shrimp" on it.

Not sure which Ten Thunders crews / models are going to get the signpost treatment yet, but I bought a pack of chopsticks with red lettering on them. They'll work for a prototype, then I can get some of the fancier ones later. Save me having to attempt to freehand the characters.

While using plastic cement generally makes for a much stronger bond between pieces, it doesn't protect fiddly bits from breaking further down themselves. Also, despite how much I recommend using plastic cement, once we get down to smaller models like the ice gamin or gremlins, they're too small for it to properly function, as the melting action melts the entire piece or pieces we're trying to work with. Which means using superglue, which can be prone to snapping under pressure, such as from bumping another model or from being stored in foam trays.

McMourning & Co. would probably make a better Rocky Horror crew. One of your Flesh Constructs would be Eddy, the other Rocky. A Nurse each for Magenta and Columbia. Sebastian Riff Raff. And, of course, Doctor Frank N. Mourning.

I'd say the main concern for gameplay, at least in the case of the Skeeters, is where on the model is safe and durable enough to actually pick it up, without grabbing it by a flight peg between the model and the base or resorting to mounting a tree or sign post or something specifically for the purpose of moving the model.

We did get Tara last year, so it's only fair that we get Leveticus this year. :-)
