  1. Finnish the RN. Now I'm waiting for the ordered base. I'm really happy how this little fella turned out. At the start I had no idea how this could turn out in the end.
  2. As I only play with painted models nothing would change for me. I'm far behind all the stuff I want. But I know that many people buy nearly all the new stuff and add it to their collection af greys...
  3. Good wish. I'm busy (with lots of paueses) with a big Space Wolves/Demons diorama since last winter. So not many chances I will do something like that in the near future. But I thougt about doing a little paintjob around the sone-to-come transportbox. Like creating a similar scene on the inside of the box. Let's see what the future brings.
  4. Now its time for the Rogue Necromancy. This will get me to a playable 50 SS Crew. The heads are finished save the eyes. These will get red for the sake of some color. Next comes the tail (?). Any ideas for some disgusting details?
  5. Last week someone brought somethng made of six pieces of foambord. The joints were made of duct tape. Easy to build and very light.
  6. Fantastic! I love the sharp highlights and the smooth blendings. This will look very good on the table and still very good right before your nose.
  7. There is no cheating in miniature painting or whatsoever! Cheating would be if you took part in a contest and behave ageinst the rules. Just do what you want. Its your hobby, your miniature, your hobbytime, your painting ability etc. You have to decide what you want to achieve. I paint my Malifaux miniatures with about 8 hours each. My Project Z miniatures with about 1/2 hour. On the table with a distance of 1 or more meters you may recognize a difference, but maybe not a big. Right before your eyes? Definately! The three most im portant thing in miature painting and gaming miniatures would be IMO contrast, contrast and contrast.
  8. Finally time again to paint some Malifaux miniatures! Dead Doxie: Dead Doxies and Rotten Belles:
  9. Bugs: - Necrotic Machine is missing in ressurectionits peon list (but available in the crew builder). Edit: it's a Minion. - I have set some models to "I own" or "painted". But if I filter they are not shown. - I bought the stats this morning, everything was okay. But now the cards are not shown and I get a message to buy the cards!
  10. 17.11. I'm bringing a friend for a demo game.
  11. I would always go with the looks. If you love the resser asthetics it will be much more fun playing them. And if you indeed might need some more games (compared to guild) to learn the games, they still will be more fun.
  12. Thanks a lot to all! It helps me a lot!
  13. I started to play with Molly. The reason was Philip and the nanny - I love this model. Now I want to get to a first 50 SS list. What I have: Molly, Philip, 3 Crooligans, Necrotic Machine, 3 Punkzombies, 3, Rotten Belles, 2 Dead Doxies, Rogue Necromancy, Rafkin So what would you recommend for some kind of a TAC list starting from my models. Especially what to hire. As I'm still learning to play the game I'm looking for a somewhat more straight forward list with not too many shenanigans.
  14. With painting since 2015 you improved a lot I would say. I always loved contests a lot becaus they made me push harder or try new techniques.
  15. I made the eggs on that diorama with milliput. The open egg was a bit of trial and error. Just give it a try.
  16. Very nice OSL on the heel and the cobblestones.
  17. Great artwork! I'd love to paint one of those models.
  18. I like the rough brushstrokes! They add a lot of life to the miniature, looks more like a painting out of a fantasybook.
  19. Painting some minis for testing is ALWAYS a very good idea. For a beginner this seems as a lot of wasted time, but it's worth the effort. But I think you will get best results on the actual range of minis from your system of desire. And you can alwas dip your testing minis in alcohol.
  20. After I read this (german) review I'm quite interested. Question: why would I need the complete palette and not just buy the sheets for my old one?
  21. Aren't you from Marburg? We have a very nice private Meeting twice a year there.
