  1. Oh boy....SO many good things...and all at once !...couldn't pick up Wild Ones in the Gencon sale so am well happy for a second chance....plus alt Guild Sargent and alt Rafkin are great sculpts...how does it work though ? If you spend $300 or more do you get just alt Nicodem and alt Bishop ?....or do you get the other two as well ?
  2. Quite right too ....I look forward to seeing it finished
  3. Great work on Hannah ! ...you've made it original whilst retaining the feel of the old model...not an easy task...it almost looks more steampunk than the original...maybe a few pipes and pistons on the new arms ?
  4. Superb job on Miss Fire...love it all from the skin tone to the way you painted the wheels to the basing...marvellous
  5. Great looking crew and the basing is really nice too
  6. Man this is going to turn into a master class...and the whole board will end up superb...really enjoying following your progress
  7. Great brushwork and nice basing...I very much like the subdued skin tone...VERY much
  8. Is there a WOW emoticon ?....if there is then I'd want to write it really big...like WOW !....totally knockout brushwork...great choice of palette and textures
  9. Wow ! Love the blue skin tone...contrast is excellent against the red (which for my tastes looks great too)...really nice take on this model
  10. "But boy would gamers pay for a product that did that " Not wishing to hijack the thread - just sharing info @Tawg - Dettol disinfectant used neat - strips plastic clean in a couple of hours...rinse under a tap and wash afterwards...takes off black primer AND green stuff
  11. Am also EU based...if you do decide to sell the Wild Ones box please PM me...meantime good luck in your quest
  12. Thankyou for sharing that info...so not only is your figure is inspirational but your info will now send me off on an internet/YouTube learning quest...may I ask what glaze medium you use as I feel the need to go off and grab some easily stripped 28mm metal figures and experiment
  13. As someone who tends to think in days and weeks when it comes to painting (not because I'm great but just because I'm dead slow) I was like "huh?!?!"... Leaving aside the one and a half hours invested a very pleasing result with a subtle choice of palette.... would love to see a shot taken every ten minutes along the way to be able to follow your process...am hazarding a guess that there is some judicious airbrush skills on the go here with a nicely brushed highlight...whatever the technique I also like the way you have melded the gravel across the 30mm base...inspirational indeed - thanks for sharing
  14. Plus one on that...very nice idea already well executed...and the "ping" of the tweezers as the tiniest piece in the world simply vanishes into the room...been there done that...well done on the homemade replacements - look forward to seeing them painted
  15. Great photos and useful tips....Even if I wasn't thoroughly enjoying learning the game I would buy this model anyway just to make it up...absolutely screams "paint me !"..,will be great watching everyone's different take on him
  16. They're going to make a great collection once they're all together...really like how the Yokai are done and nice painting on the Obsidian Oni too
  17. Nice choice of colour...The black and red wings look fierce
  18. Great job you have done on this set !....you really brought the mono wheel and bike to life...very nice brushwork too...thanks for sharing
  19. Johana only took eight days to get across the Atlantic ! Really great to deal with - excellent communications and model very well packed - doesn't get any better than that
  20. I am learning as I go along and so far I use steel or brass pins where there is absolute minimal contact with the base but also, like Silicon Dioxide,I use the sprue the model is attached to...slightly different from Silicon Dioxide in that I cut a chunk of sprue from the runner with the leg attached...then I shave down the piece of sprue that is still attached to the foot until it becomes a spike that I can super glue into Green Stuff or modelling clay or whatever I am making the base from.
  21. Yes ! Love the ideas....even without Dark Carnival as a base crew some of those would make great mercenaries
  22. Wow ! Not just a lot of work but a lot of good looking work...another request for more photos - especially of the Mage as he looks spectacular from what I can see
