  1. Thanks for the kind words....no I don’t think I’m going to commit to the challenge* but might get back into painting TOS later this year...will keep checking in on people’s work though as I really enjoy watching the progress *currently heavily involved in 28mm historics
  2. @Franchute very nice brushwork on your shinobi 👍
  3. I get most of mine from the Starbucks Fencing Company😉
  4. @Paneki21 - I'm looking at magnetic paper sheets or magnetic strip....it looks like the recess under the 30mm bases would allow it...that way I should be able to "stick" all but the largest figures in one crate, leaving just the fireteam bases and titans to pack and carry in foam...at least that's my plan so far😉
  5. @solkan - thanks , knowing that puts my mind at ease ...now I can plan ahead as I paint my way through my Kickstarter pledge...and to be fair M3e might be out before I finish that project 😉
  6. A question for the long term....obviously it's still early days for TOS but eventually will the Infiltrators be available as a separate box as the Rifle Corps already are ?
  7. @muraki - love your scheme for the alt Viks , brought a huge smile to my face, nicely done too - keep up the great work ⭐ @Caedrus - your prowess at sculpting is way beyond "amateurish" and you've totally nailed the NMM on your executioner...that's the kind of brushwork where you should duly award yourself congratulations of the cold beverage variety 😉👍
  8. @Purple Mist you're really rockin' those colorshift paints !! I don't know the game but the spaceships are excellent...and the Malifaux models are already knockout 👍
  9. You do....every month....and every month is a victory for all of us here which is why I've come to enjoy it so much...every month is another piece of grey plastic given life in colour....every month another quest for personal achievement and learning.... ....unless I'm accidentally watching someone on YouTube fitting a jet engine to a bicycle 😉
  10. @Franchute it's not so much a routine as a way of life 😉 😂😂....you get great results with your method 👍
  11. @Viruk great brushwork as always - very subtle choice of palette that makes two static poses look threatening....a question I have asked before but need to ask again.....are you sure there aren't seventy hours in a day where you are ? (We only get twenty four) I can never get my head 'round how fast you work @Franchute - excellent use of the colour wheel 😉 very fine looking model already
  12. My choice of music follows a very similar pattern to my painting process and I invariably end up putting down whatever I'm working on to go look at a record sleeve of whatever I'm listening to....and that makes me wonder about a musician or artist...and then I hit the 'net to find out and discover someone completely new...then have to know all about them and probably buy record as well if I can find it on sale....and all the while there's an unpainted model going "...but ?...but ?...but ?..." Sometimes however...when I know I'm really going to go for it I've got playlists I put together on my iPod...headphones on and no stopping...no breaks...until I suddenly wonder if dolphins have ears and need to look it up on the 'net Sounds....Jazz, early R'n'B, Blues and Soul
  13. Thankyou for your very kind words....but.....watch me paint ?...😱😱😱.....unlike you I can offer no helpful pictures...only a 1000 words😉 If I made a YouTube video it would last for weeks....and STILL nothing might happen ! My process goes like this: (1) Put a record on and make some tea (2) Stare at primed but unpainted model...for ages...pick up another model and wonder whether I should start that one first instead....wonder if anybody else has painted it and go on the 'net to find out (3) Stop looking at pictures of Viking shoes, hot rods or poisonous reptiles or wherever I ended up on Google.... (4) Change the record...drink more tea Numbers (5) to (53) are numbers (1) - (4) repeated but in a different order....THEN comes the most important part (54) Look at the clock or calendar and totally freak out going "Is THAT the time ?!?!" ....somewhere between numbers (54) and (55) I actually do some painting 😉
  14. Ok...April....needs to be less chaotic than March for sure...so...this month I pledge (again) five of The Doomseekers from TOS...but unlike last month this time I will actually get some paint on them
  15. @Boomstick that old Colette casting is fantastic- really must pick it up one of these days...look forward to seeing it finished
  16. Great looking scheme and very convincing....if you field an army like that it's going to be really impressive ! Look forward to seeing more
  17. In under the wire for March...didn't get as much as I wanted done but managed to finish another five figures from my TOS kickstarter haul....it's been a hectic month and I STILL haven't had a chance to go over all the entries for this month and leave praise for all the excellent models I skimmed through to get to this page...but I most certainly will next week when I free up again...and so... @Caedrus here are my finished models for March.....5 of The Broken from TOS ....and here they are on their movement tray Here is my completed fire team of The Broken

  19. @Caedrus and everyone else....I'm going to have to go back quite a few pages and go over with calm what looks to be like another amazing collection of models that have made it from shelves and boxes and into the gaming arena this month... ...for me life kind of happened in a way these last weeks that didn't include a whole ton of painting...nonetheless stuff got done along the way...I am just putting the finishing touches to another five Broken from TOS...so by Sunday they'll be based and varnished and posted
