  1. Mine is off to my giftee - was actually sent on Monday 12/7, just forgot to post. Hoping it is rec'd before Christmas! Or at least before the end of the year
  2. about to receive my order here, off to post soon! probably tomorrow owing to lateness I tend to receive items at my house
  3. nice! always love your stuff, and that's a great looking model
  4. wow the cloaks and other conversions are awesome! really like the poses as well. The Guardian looks awesome - you're right, nothing like a little (lot!) blood on the weapons and none on the advancing form to say "watch out!" hehe The hunter looks really good as well! I'm not familiar with these minis but they look great the way you've painted them!
  5. That.. is awesome! Love playing with my kids - although they can be quite hard to keep on track (mine are older and competitive) but they also do come up with ideas you'd never think of. It sounds like you're off to a great start with your daughter! She's obviously got a great imagination. Also, just have to say - I adore mouselings! The eyes are really good on yours especially. I usually try to paint them more like human, now I realize that doesn't really fit them. I like the way you did it better. I may well steal that idea!
  6. 8?! ugh, I have 6... still painting lol Good to know though
  7. Well storage atm consists of sticking on a shelf and praying the cat doesn't try to climb it =/ I haven't found a good solution. I have plans to actually make a kind of pull out drawer system, but that's all it is atm, plans. I haven't taken any of my terrain with me anywhere. I actually only take a mat, a blank one we draw on. It's really boring to play with though. I'm planning on buying some storage totes after Christmas and fiddling with variations of filler to see what works. So yeah not real helfpul either - anyone who actually successfully stores/transports speak up now ;))
  8. enjoyed it thanks for posting love the blood effects
  9. Here are my bad boys, the wyld boars, complete. Not completely happy with the transition between brown fur and pink skin but it's always a learning process. Mostly the ruff on their backs came out the way I wanted - the blue, exactly so, the other two less so. Still they look very wyld which was my intention. And the bases are junkyard theme, which will be in keeping with my next board.
  10. Ahh kk, good to know =/ Still it looks quite nice!
  11. Can't believe I totally forgot to update with my finished Whiskey Golem! Anyway here he is:
  12. Funny you should ask this is exactly what I'd like to do as well. I know Secret Weapon makes some water effects for flat areas but I've not used them yet - any had any experience with them?
  13. Those are gorgeous especially love the basing idea
  14. Working on some gremlins - wyld boars atm, and Lenny (WIP, both) Just updating my WIP thread =) hoping to have more done this coming week! ]
  15. lookin sweet Dez! love the markers and the whole crew!
  16. lmao Stalker well I'm stealing your barrel basing ideas so we're even =D
  17. ^^ This one corner of my display board, that I started making to show off my as yet to be completed models. I also have posted this previously on the wyrd place fb group so if you've seen it before that is probably why T'other side of the board - home to the all important Still! Behind some flimsy camoflage lol View of the still. I made it with a piece of cork (covered by plasticard), a button, a bit of a wooden dowel, and the metal tubing is a paper clip I messed with quite a bit. I made some 'bolts' on the still, with paint, added some weathering powder for soot - first time I used it so I wanted to experiment a bit. I did a little coal fire under the whole still, sitting on a metal frame (matchsticks). The rocks are bits of cork left over from cutting out the rounds for the bases. ^^ Here's a little collage of the outhouse. here's the pigpen: (well it might fit Gracie. I didn't realize the wild boars for instance came on the bigger bases ><) here's a close up of my fave part, the trough: The idea is kind of a 'omg what would gremlins actually feed their pigs?!' here so I took some bits of left over sprue, some hotglue, and realistic water and came up with a trough of unmentionables. While the inspiration for the whole board is pretty obviously the bayou, I also got a lot of inspiration from living here in Georgia. The base was coated with burnt sienna, to help try to portray the red clay soil we have here. If I'd kept the foliage the way it really ought to be, based on how it grows here in wild areas, you'd never see the board lol so I tried to add just enough to help liven it up some. Already working on my concept for its next component, being as how I just bought a bunch more Gremlins that won't fit on this board lol but first I promised myself I'd actually build and finish some of the Bayou box I already have.
  18. I really like the Gremlins, the models appeal and their antics as well, but I'm still very very newb to malifaux so I'm just looking for any direction about a good set to start with and build from. I know, I know a common topic, sorry =/ it's just very confusing. Maybe someone has a thought about pros and cons of certain leaders? thanks for any help
  19. I'm a bit further south of yall =/ If you get anything together maybe a little closer to Georgia, I might could come. By next November I might even have managed to get a crew sorted
  20. bonjour! how do you like the goblins? I'm still considering my crew. I do love the fluff and nature of the goblins, though. Anyway, welcome =)
  21. lol thanks! This ought to be make for interesting times then I can see.
  22. hullo all! Been trying to discover more about this game for a while now since I came across a reference to it in a miniature painting tutorial on youtube and I really really liked the minis used. And because basically it seems to combine just about everything I enjoy lol Anyway, so the question that pops to mind, as I'm perusing the resources is about the factions. I haven't a rulebook yet, and I'm still reading the resources so I do apologize if this is answered somewhere and I simply missed it. What I want to know is can a faction crew fight against another crew of the same faction? This will likely be extremely important for picking my crews because I'll be also picking for my two of my sons, who're also interested in the game, and, knowing my luck, they'll all want the same faction or something lol thanks in advance! =)
