  1. Hello all and especially Rasputina experts! I've been dabbling myself in resurrectionists for year and I've been itching to try Rasputina as I usually enjoy somewhat full gunline type armies/crews etc. I'm pondering how viable raspy is for all schemes and could she be played exclusively for all the strats/schemes in way that you won't deliberately shoot yourself in a leg with that choice? I'm testing her out this thursday/friday and I immediately managed to flip beforehand headhunter for both games. What should I bring for that strategy? I'm pondering spamming silent ones so I won't get smashed if I face full melee enemy crew. All tips are welcome My first idea was to bring two december acolytes, wendigo, raspy, snowstorm, mechanical rider and ice dancer (schemes are Leave Your Mark, Accusation!, Undercover Entourage,Tail 'em and the usual Claim Jump; deployment is standard) for some board control and mechanical rider can do the usual scheme running while ice dancer can do that too or pick up heads hopefully.
  2. G'day fellow resurrectionists, I've stumbled upon little problem - those pesky neverborn! I've grown quite fearful of pandora with either the "thousand cuts" build or the paralyzing. I'm also already quite scared of my usual opponent when he picks up caster Lilith with Nekima, Graves etc. I would be asking what should I pick against neverborn in general, I do not like building my lists against specific champion unless I know that my opponent has tendency to play it a lot or some other viable explanation. I've been playing mostly with McMourning and very little Seamus, would proper summoner be just stronger against them? I usually tend to ignore Pandora bit as she just would run away from the melee range with pushing. Thank you fellow students of necromancy in advance!
  3. Hello, just a quick question as I'm pondering what crew to get next and I'm trying to decide between McMourning and Somer. Basically I like the idea of the summoning spam of Somer but I'm bit afraid of how many bayuou gremlins I'll be needing? Would 8 be more than enough or will there be situations where I need even more ?
  4. Greetings fellow gremlinists, I suppose some of you have deduced the following: gremlins have not had luck with the plastic releases yet but I suppose that during March - May gremlin commanders can be very happy if this is what is left after february: Gremlins: Ophelia Brewmaster Som'er Neverborn: Zoraida Outcasts: Leveticus Von Schill So let's hope that the two crew boxes per month still keeps Can't wait to wield Som'er gremlin swarm, I've had the itch to buy the metal models but I just prefer the plastic ones for assembling. I've even got old Ophelia box for myself, but I will probably buy the plastic one still...
  5. Has there been any announcement when Perdita's plastic crew box will become available? Would love to get Sonnia + Perdita plastic boxes, but the shipping + taxes will be too high for me here in Finland
  6. My friend is using mostly Nicodem and Seamus - but I do not want to tailor my crew against them, as in ''competitive'' game I would only know the faction my opponent is using. Basically: I have tons of cheap cannon fodder ---> easy corpses for my opponent ---> lots of undead.... so should I simply use more elite crew composition?
  7. Greetings gremlin commanders, sobers and not-so-sober ones ! I've played now one game with Ophelia in M2e against rezzers and I realized something: I should probably not play gremlin horde (thought that strat/schemes we're very objective based so I just took lot's of folks to control the board), as this somewhat turned against me as my poor gremlins were turned into shambling horrors... So, as I have still only Ophelia should I try to wield ''elite'' gremlin crew against rezzers for now? I was pondering Ophelia + 3x kin (sniper, henchman and was it Raphael), 3x Young'uns and slop hauler for 40ss game. We're also trying to keep the game fast now (120min time limit, we take usually way too much time) so any tips for that as Ophelia? Should I ever use Som'er against rezzers? I can imagine the amount of undead and corpse counters in the battlefield if I simply spam bayou gremlins...
  8. Greetings folks I had couple of questions because I'm trying to teach my girlfriend to play Malifaux (well we've played couple games, but we play so rarely that we tend to forget the rules ^^') and one of my friend got interested in the game with the new plastics. What would be ideal size for demo game, the main points to consider are: It shouldn't be too big (time issues), the crew shouldn't contain too much complexity (you simply can't memorize everything that your crew does + what enemy does when you play for the first times), how big should the game be it stays interesting? Other thing I was interested was Gencon 2013 malifaux tournament tables. I remember pictures of 2012 too and they looked quite nice for me (in budget wise perspective). Were they built from single buildings of malifaux box + clips pack? If someone can send me links for more pictures of gencon 2013 tournament I would be grateful they give nice inspiration and somehow I have been able to miss all reports from tournaments from there.
  9. Hello ye miniature painting experts, I've got one question for you: is Citadel Skullwhite Spray okay for giving undercoat to Misaki and her crew? I've seen few posts where people have mentioned how for example the face has been ''destroyed'' by the spraying process. Should I be worried at all? It's around -2 celcius here, should I wait that the weather gets little bit more warm? // Wanting to give white undercoat for bright red look in the end // // Quick edit: I completely forgot to ask what glue is suitable for the new plastics ? I've used Loctite superglue for the metals, would it be okay or should I go and buy myself some citadel glue? And yes, I know there are better brands than citadel glue out there, but my LFGS sells it and I don't have any other shops close where I could get some hardware glue //
  10. Yeap, we made group order and our ''deal maker'' just contacted me, oh well, luckily I can now buy Rulebook from my LFG ;D I'm right now most interested in Jacob Lynch but I haven't managed to find out what's his actual playstyle, mostly I'm pondering ''what the heck is brilliance?''.
  11. Thanks for the answers folks! Here's some more pondering: - My friend plays Seamus and he has also Molly, so I would avoid them (Seamus vs. Seamus seems somewhat unfluffy to me:D) - My girlfriend has Rasputina, haven't tried that out yet, but I try to avoid trying her until my GF has also another crew - Ophelia was another master which I pondered at start, always liked goblins in warhammer and Ophelia has the craziness aspect + my gunliiiiine! - McMourning, ooh, I liked his figure (and the Frankenstein aspect), but I'm always afraid with the summoning aspect, as I'm bit perfectionist - Misaki would be cool, loved her crew models + it seems like I could use Ronin if I bought sometime Viktorias - The nice thing about dreamer is that I have already Lelu and Lilitu so I can use them in both crews, also Teddy seems like a lot of fun (C'moon damage 10 severe strike, that's bound to cause some terror) - Forgot to mention Nicodem, I absolutely love his new model and the idea of zombiiiiiiiieeeeees is very very attractive but the amount of models I need for him is bit scary Sadly I have to say I find Zoraida unintresting, I'll think about her when I get my proper rulebook (curse Maelstrom delivery times... been waiting something like 3 months).
  12. Hello Malifaux experts and extraordinary masters, I've now had something like 6-8 games with my Lilith and I would like to expand my crews. Somewhat Lilith doesn't just feel like ''my kind of master'', and that's why I would like to get some other viewpoints to the game (don't get me wrong here, she's good but I just don't somewhat like her playstyle). So here's the masters I've been thinking off: - The Dreamer: the idea of little boy and horrible monsters is fantastic and most of the minis are one piece metals (the pain of gluing them hands, tails etc.). Problem is that I get vibes he's kind of same as Lilith - hit's darn hard, but can't take the hit so much himself + very very fast. - Viktorias: Fast, hits hard, but includes also some shooting. Point here is that I find attracting this list: Viktorias, 3x Ronin, Hans and convict gunslinger. - Any of the new plastic boxes, just because they're plastic - always had hate relationship with metal miniatures Jakob Lynch would be quite nice addition to the ranks of neverborn but I got the impression from PullmyFinger that he would need also the depleted models which haven't been released yet. Any opinions? I've always somewhat loved ''extreme'' army compositions in different games, ultra shooty, ultra melee-based etc. I've never found joy in balanced teams
  13. Thank you for the answers, regarding to the first question I do realize the wording implies quite clearly that Hanged one doesn't take damage but I wondered could this have been Errata'd somewhere. It just feels bit counter-intuitive.
  14. Hello folks, here's some questions again after playing our 4th game (two games against Seamus and also two against Rasputina so far): 1. Terror Tot Nephilim is in close combat with Hanged, Seamus is 7 inches away and decides to shoot the poor Nephilim and manages even to hit him instead of Hanged; Black Blood ability says that in order it triggers it must be hit by melee attack – is this intended? I found it bit silly that blood doesn’t splatter to nearby enemies from ranged attack. 2. Hanged ones ability: (1) Hangman’s Knot (CC: 12M/Rst: Wp /Rg: 12) Dg 1/2/4. Push target model 4” toward this model. Does the damage happen first (possibly triggering Black Blood) and after that model moves or other way around or can the player who’s turn it is decide which happens first? 3. If model takes falling damage who flips the falling damage? 4. Does Liliths Earthquake affect herself too? 5. Seamus casts ‘’Arise, My Sweet’’ but fails – is the corpse counter discarded or does it stay in play?
  15. Thank you everyone for your answers for clearing this up - CRC was right, I meant ''2. Earlier in the turn, Seamus used No Escape on the tot." Thanks for clearing also for future instances that IF seamus was already in melee range it wouldn't work.
