  1. Hey everyone. If Parker Barrows uses his zero action, targets an enemy scheme marker, removes it and equips the upgrade highwayman with it, does he benefit from the upgrade ability "this is worth a few scrip" as the action in question is resolved? I thought it was yes, my good pal thought not a flipping chance.
  2. I finally got a chance to use the donkey rider with Schill, and it was amazing. pretty sure schill and the SAS with the HPE and a librarian could take on the world

  4. von schill vs. ironsides would get both players what they want, which is to say a master scrum in the middle of the board at the end of turn 2
  5. the alternatives being: use the child who can use his Finish the Cur action fairly competently (would need a 7? on a positive twist) allowing for two uses with it a turn or the student of conflict who is faster than the trunk and can provide fast to something once every few turns not using a totem. Its a non-competition imo the steam trunk is simply too good for what it costs, especially into certain matchups!

  7. Von schill and Misaki can operate similarly, or put to use the charge augments they both possess, but the similarities end there. VS really shines with extraction and guard the stash as he will get to keep his crew near by and make them much stronger in the process. Misaki with access to models that can abuse smoke and shadows like jorogumo can really abuse any missteps the opponent takes and remove any models when they present themselves. I'd say she is a stronger player in interference for that reason. They are both very capable masters though!
  8. I'd note that if she does fly in and survives, that's a very big suck zone for your opponent
  9. If you can hit curse of the covetous on a model, Parker can then also use Stick up on the same model to effectively shut them down
  10. I've considered him a few times with Parker and the general conflux upgrade, he runs a lot of minions so it would make sense. I view him as a very mobile support piece. Trinkets are really good if you plan to use them, and each conflux upgrade gives him a second zero action to abuse with instinctual. Keep him at roughly the same range from the fight as you would Parker or Hamelin and he's in the sweet spot to do work. He is expensive though.

  13. Misaki gains 1 of those two suits required thru risky ventures when shes out of soulstones
  14. The Scion would do well to run with a desparate merc or two... nice and cheap and they can function quite well with tara pinging them for fast to gain positive flips to all attacks they then use the scions casts to even better effect!
  15. to clarify: if someone else is using the buried scions ability to then unbury the nothing beast or the scion, the scion will take 2 damage. if the scion casts it her/himself then it doesn't incur the damage.

  17. Would like to point out just for safety reasons that using the scions zero to unbury anyone will still deal two damage to the scion, so plan accordingly.
  18. My power schill list includes the man with survivalist, engage at will, shirt comes off Two trappers, two librarians, Hannah with I pay better and ancient tomes, and the steam trunk. It works quite well at everything that isn't interference
  19. The only tricks von schill has is taking the shirt off and possibly the lower df trigger on his knife named jack. His crew with I pay better can find a use for literally every card in the deck which imo makes him very easy to play.
  20. Von schill? What about him do you think needs attention? He's the master I go to when I want to win my games, so I'm of the mind he's in a pretty good place.
  21. Montresor got 2 more wounds this time thru? Bahaha things just keep aligning for the big man! Hes absolutely worth 9ss but take brick by brick and his whispers upgrade and really bung up the opponent imo
  22. Dead of winter new ability is dmg prevention, and the nothing beast can stone to do stuff now as well as take a second upgrade. I could feasibly see void shield becoming a 1as upgrade now that he can stone to prevent damage
  23. Thank the gods for the Montresor change.... I use the hangman probably the most out of henchmen available and I think I've remembered the choking death at the end of turn... One time? Before we'd start to shuffle? It was so frustrating.
  24. Wow. significantly heavier reading than I was expecting. I decided in game to play it as enemy effects on enemy models only and after reading thru a good 20mins of debate on the subject have decided to continue with this method. Stopping all manner of pushes and such would, IMO, put her value much farther than 9ss (or 10 merc) against certain matchups.
  25. Hello all! In trying to secure more game time with Hannahs sister, I ran amok of some interesting situations regarding Anna Lovelace that I would just love to put to rest. Her front-of-card rules basically negate enemy model place effects and any enemy model pushes that would at any time enter her aura of 8 and LoS (due to how auras are restricted). My question is do these abilities only restrain enemy effects on enemy models or do they also stop enemy abilities on friendly models (IE lure, or lusts Proper Positions) or abilities like Wongs What goes Up... (ability that places scheme markers)
