  1. The trigger sharing from Press the Advantage is between Attack Actions, not all Actions.
  2. Agree with Jordon's and retnab's lists. I also think Eternal Flame needs a buff. Suggestions: Companion, this way Flaming Detonation, which is kind of anti-synergistic on its own, could actually happen immediately after applying the burning you want to happen immediately. Follow the Flame working like Carlos' thing. Pyre markers are pretty weak as markers go. Replace Combustible Mixture with something that does something, extremely few models are actually capital I Immune to burning, they they are just immune in practice without using that word.
  3. 72. If a Trigger on an Action causes damage (whether a flip or a fxed amount), does that count as part of the original Action? Is it modifed by effects like the Accuracy Modifer and Focus? Do fxed damage bonuses (such as from Hallucinogens or The Bigger They Are) apply to the Trigger? Triggers that cause damage are a part of the Action which caused them. Any damage flip on such a Trigger would retain any Fate Modifers to the original flip including Accuracy, Focus, cover, etc. Any fxed damage (such as the +1 damage from The Bigger They Are) only applies to the initial Action (not any resulting Triggers). (3/30/17)
  4. Well there is this FAQ entry. I've assumed it meant that Actions that didn't have any damage wouldn't benefit, but I guess someone could interpret it differently. 95. Can we get some more details on how the Nurse’s Hallucinogens Condition works? Sure! The Hallucinogens Condition causes any Ml Actions which deal damage to deal +2 damage. So if the Action causes no damage, it does not beneft from the +2. However, if the model creates multiple damage sources with a single Attack (such as with Hammerfall) each damage source would also beneft from the +2 damage as it is a part of the Action.

    M2e Colette

Siren's Call is opposed so Focus is useful, but I agree it's not "2 SS upgrade" useful. In general I can only agree that Colette could really have used another AP spender that didn't take a ton of setup, we already have All Together Now for that... :|
  6. If you Hem first then put Burning +4 on the Voodoo doll (that gets past on) the enemy model would take 3 damage when it resolves its own burning and another 3 when the Voodoo doll does it. These are two different instances of damage and other stuff can happen in between them as the First player will resolves all their conditions before the Second player does all their. FAQ: 111. Can Pandora take the Self Harm Action against a model without a Attack? (Same question for Self Loathing and Attacks). Yes. The Attack would simply be unable to deal damage. Self Harm selects a Attack on the target and applies the damage, but does not require the target to have a Attack. Attacks that require the target have a certain trait in order to target are generally worded, “Target model with a Attack…” Self Harm is not worded in this way.
  7. Frame for murder only cares about the station when you select the scheme. Quick murder doesn't care how the model dies, just that it does (and when). Conditions already on the Voodoo doll are not passed on when it uses Hem. The damage from Sewn Fate is reduced by armour. So it would take 3 damage in the upkeep. Every action that has a target model has to test if they are declared in the aura. So you would need to test for the charge and both attacks (if the charge test was successful) if you started inside the aura. Yes, after succeeding doesn't care about damage.
  8. In real history the Ethiopian Empire (aka Abyssinia) was a power in Africa until just before WWII, while most of the rest of the continent was colonised and exploited by the European powers. I don't think it's inconceivable that Malifaux Abyssinia wouldn't care if there was slave trade in other parts of Africa. Africa is after all a huge place with a plethora ethnic groups that in many cases didn't like each other any more than the ethnic groups of Europe (the source of all out world wars so far ) liked each other.
  9. Cassandra and Angelica's passive pushes/moves, one is after initiative and the other at the end of the first turn.
  10. And since I have it in a spreadsheet anyway. 1 with 5 18 with 4 16 with 3 6 with 2 5 with 1 Average: 3.1 Median: 3
  11. It's 3 in the book, I can't find any errata to Dreamer. Also relevant is that when they set his cache, he had less need for suits than now (and still needs them a bit less than your average summoner).
  12. Faction - Average - Median Gremlins - 3.625 - 4 Arcanists - 3.5 - 3.5 Resurrectionists - 3.5 - 3.5 Guild - 3.25 - 3.5 Neverborn - 3.25 - 3.5 Ten Thunders - 2.5 - 2.5 Outcasts - 2 - 1.5 While Gremlins have the largest caches, Arcanists, Resurrectionists, Guild, and Neverborn all very close behind (the vast majority in all five factions have 3 or 4). I think it's more accurate to point to TT and Outcasts as having low caches than any faction having large ones. Outcast really stand out with mostly 1s, the average is only raised by Parker and Tara (the filthy resser). Asami has a cache of 3 btw.
  13. Yeah, Malifaux seems to currently follow a philosophy where everything new has to have extra special unique snowflake mechanics. Other games content themselves with have slightly different mechanics and diversify with the soft values, i.e. visuals and backstory. E.g. 40 k has like a bazillion different guys who will shoot you in the face, they vary a bit in how hard and far they shoot and how resilient they are, but mostly they just look different. As Malifaux is no slouch (IMO) when it comes to visuals I think the game would be healthier if they went that way. The current trend is taking it further and further towards Gotcha: The Game in my opinion.
  14. A lot of the time I want them to stick around for the -1 Df and/or engagement so when a tome do show up (since flailing uselessly with their tiny little legs is "cheaper" than discarding a card for Defensive stance) I rarely want to use it.
  15. I have the 2nd printing of the physical rulebook and it has some of the stuff listed in the FAQ. E.g. the "enemy" thing for Samael Hopkins, and "Guardsman" for Guild Guard.
  16. There is some discussion in this thread:
  17. Ripple of Fate says outright Sanderp is from India and that Banasuva is an Asura, a type of creature from Hindu mythology. But obviously if you convert the models you can give them some other theme if you want to.
  18. Are insignificant minions, which isn't super rare. Clockwork traps is perhaps the only significant peon? Which I suspect is an oversight really, they can't take normal actions so need to be obeyed or similar, and the front of their card is pretty full. --- I don't mind the concept of Peons in the general case, but I do think many Peons are not good or cheap enough to justify their existence. Since they can't help with most win conditions they need to make up for it in other ways.
  19. Steam Arachnid doesn't blast when killed. They do have a trigger on their close attack that let them pulse and die, but as they lack a built in suit it doesn't happen very often. Also Sanderp's theme is Sikh/India, not desert.
  20. I've never thought that Red Joker damage was all that amazing in the general case. Sure, it's noticeable for models like Howard or Nekima, but a lot of the time it's just 1 or 2 damage over severe. Confirmation bias makes it easier to remember Howard getting a red, so I guess that can make people upset.
  21. She might be mentioned somewhere, but she doesn't appear in any major way in Chronicle stories (though I haven't gotten around to read the latest issue yet).
  22. Personally I'd rather have Sonia (without starting a new faction) than Sanderp. But I suspect you really just want to whine about him being OP...
  23. I'd like to see some mitigation of out-activation. For instance in Confrontation identical cheap models could be controlled by the same stat card (each stat card was an activation) and if one player had both less models and less stat cards at the start of a turn they would get a number of passes equal to the difference in stat cards. And of course the usual suspects: timing, vantage, natural sounding English being prioritised over unambiguous wording - save the purple prose for the stories guys!
  24. I'd be interested in a Myranda and maybe an Ice Golem outside a crewbox.
