  1. If you make more they might become cohesive, but if you're just sticking with one building for the moment it does jar a little. I don't mind if things are historically accurate though!
  2. Thunders did damn well considering the number of players. I was hoping for the not-Jurassic World-McCabe on a bike (which we kinda got) and velociraptor Guild Hounds (which we didn't) but was not expecting him due to the word that it would be for the faction that won, ruling out a dual-faction Master. But my memory gets hazy.
  3. I think I just messed myself.
  4. I am a fan of Wastrels, but more from a flavour point than in-game effectiveness. McCabe and Lynch are the only 2 crews where I think they warrant serious consideration due to Bravado (McCabe's Upgrades and Lynch's Ace In The Hole), but in Guild I am looking to include them more for body count and the heal that they can bring. The key to making them shine is in learning to use their Cast-offs effectively. Other reasons I like them are that I can play them as Wastrels, like I don't care; Ruthless doesn't come up every game but is always great when it does. Shooting Manipulative models in the back, ignoring Drinking Contests, hitting Terrifying models. Them and Pistoleros are pretty good Penanggalan hunters. They also don't really care about cover. And if it takes 3 of the enemy's AP to kill one, then that's just gravy for a 4SS model.
  5. Not to mention insane healing and cards when combined with her sword's trigger should she need to bonk stuff on the head up close.
  6. Jack Daw was undercover Guild the whole time???!?!?
  7. Excellent. I heard it last on AWP as well but the posters were quite adamant that it boosted Df to max 7, not +2. My sincere apologies for propagating bollocks.
  8. McCabe's In The Thick Of It specifies that it can boost Df up to 7. I think it has been argued recently that if McCabe also has El Mayor he can only go up to Df7; El Mayor is already boosting him to Df7 and In The Thick Of It fails to boost it any further. I am wrong Wrong WRONG At least El Mayor would work whilst not engaged for those pesky bullets.
  9. I use her to give out extra Burning and hold the general Witch Hunter upgrade. Her stats are pretty solid but I would struggle to justify bringing her with anyone but Sonnia.
  10. Ironically the Minion status is also one of their drawcards, as it allows McCabe to Reactivate them (who can also conveniently throw around some upgrades and give them some Promises loving), gain buffs from Toshiro and the Emissary, and get teleporting antics from Smoke & Shadows. Sure, they miss out on Recalled Training, but I think I'd prefer them to remain as Minions to be honest.
  11. I've heard others positively cream themselves over how the Rail Golem performs under Charles Xavier Hoffman. Everyone seems to consider the Large Arachnid last when talking about M&SU Constructs though, maybe it's just the least exciting option, theoretically speaking.
  12. Is it Brewmaster's Obeys and Binges that help them out?
  13. Building wrecks, huge dead trees, tree groves, animal pens/prisoner enclosures... For a more surreal touch you could have things half-sunken into the ground at odd angles... Stone walls, statues, clock towers, shipwrecks...
  14. Aren't they 5SS? Also, they'll be sitting at minimum Df whilst they wait to Reactivate.
  15. I never really understood why it was so terrible in Oblivion, it sounded like a great place to catch up on some reading (assuming you weren't noticed by anything there, which tended to be interlopers anyway).
  16. Radiation crystals! Either tiny to walk over or pillars for over.
  17. Maybe even suggest swapping lists with your opponent for one or two games to better understand how it works best, it's weaknesses and how it can be worked around. It can be easy to see the strengths of something you don't use but not as much to see what it takes to make it work. What's great too is that your opponent will have intimate knowledge of how it works and you might learn something about how to evade them in the future.
  18. Yeah, for me it's pretty much a way around his 1" range, say if you're engaged with someone with a 2"+ range. It's pretty nice if you can get a Focus onto him first too, whether through Shen Long crew antics, Envy or Obeys. I think you start to pay more attention to the ability once you move on from simply taking a Favour of Jigoku gun platform.
  19. Yes, Black Blood is the bane of ping damage crews, although I can't think of anything in 10T that has it. Another consideration are damaging Auras, which every Faction has access to with the Crossroads Seven. If an unactivated Manipulative member is being Lured (which could potentially be used to block LOS to or get in the way of other crew members) it's going to cost them resources to succeed, and cost further resources when they get there. I'm not sure that there's really a surefire way to counter Lure spam aside from offering models you don't mind losing to it until your cavalry can arrive to get those Belles in line, apart from the usual "making sure you're playing with enough terrain" and keeping your key models out of sight.
