  1. I disagree that "more actions is more good" is the only way for expensive models to be valuable. Sometimes a particular combination of abilities, or assurance of action (leap is better on a model that can stone for a mask than one that cant), or a unique ability. The Arcane Emissary doesn't fit that mold (Shove Aside is unreliable because you can't guarantee the suit). What makes the Arcane Emissary valuable is the Negation Aura on a model that is hard to remove as well as a 2" Engagement range. The Arcane Emissary isn't valuable because he get free actions, but because he's really good at draining resources from opponents. A lot of the Emissaries are like this, they dont get extra actions but they get unique actions. Aside from Emissaries, 10 cost models without extra actions that are considered good include: Arik, Killjoy, and Joss. Imo the value of a 2" range is undervalued.
  2. Here's a more interesting question tho, can you declare a trigger, fail to succeed, but still push from Constant Motion? Constant Motion procs whenever you declare a trigger, and you declare triggers before checking for success. However, the March FAQ 1-4 clarifies that even though you can declare a trigger with a cost even if you cant pay the cost, if you dont pay the cost the triggers effects and effects that occur as a result of declaring trigger, are ignored. This clearly indicates that you cannot declare Blinded by Iron when there are no scheme markers and use Constant Motion. But say you flip a total of 8while your opponent flips a 10. Could you use Press the Advantage to reduce your total to 6, declare Jackhammer Kick, fail the attack so the trigger doesnt happen, but still push 2" from Constant Motion because you declared a trigger?
  3. Does that FAQ apply here? The FAQ says that Another refers to, "not the model from which this text is written," but the text for moving the Lodestone is from a model, its from a Strategy
  4. I think Foundry is going to be good this GG. They have 2 Reckless models, which is great for both Leylines and Recover Evidence. Obviously its going to be hard to stop them from scoring Symbols. Lots of people look at the "can't place" clause and assume that means Foundry is weak at the scheme because it hinders RtR a little bit. I think people are underestimating the Foundry's ability to Push themselves, and the speed of a Mv 6 model with Reckless, but we'll see. I do think they are going to struggle with the new schemes because they are pretty bad at interacting, but Research Mission is a cake walk for Foundry.
  5. See, I dont think that would be an issue so long as they retain the ability to attach their own upgrades. Nerf em, make em 5ss, and let them keep Aspects of the Wild, and suddenly they become cheap AP you can use to scheme independantly (which may help Molemen out) and can benefit the crew by allowing Marcus to focus his attention on the other more expensive Beasts. I will say a 6 cost model with 7 wounds and Stampede is kind of interesting, maybe there's a niche for them there?
  6. For what they are rn Order Initiates should be 5 stones. Making them 5 stones, even if that comes with a nerf or rework would help Marcus out a ton. Maybe part of the issue is that they have good abilities, but they work contrary to each other. They deploy with an Upgrade which means Marcus doesnt have to spend AP on them, but to use Chimera Strike Marcus needs to spend AP on them. Their ability to change upgrades means they want to run independant from Marcus, but in order to get card draw they need to be near Marcus. They can move their AP to other Beasts, but if they have the Upgrades, then they are the model you want to move AP to.
  7. "If a model would ignore the effects of a Shockwave Action, does it still take a duel to resist the Shockwave? a) No." Clearly this refers to Actions such as Ice Tornado which specifically calls out that friendly modles may Ignore its effects and Push instead, but does it also refer to Evasive models? If Willie drops a Shockwave on Sparks, does Sparks have to take the Mv duel, even though he ignores the effects of the Shockwave (Damage 3) if he fails the duel?
  8. Im not convinced that an Insignificant model would count as a model for this scheme
  9. So in my last game I figured out something cool. Willie's bonus action Set Charge doesnt specify Friendly Scheme marker, you can blow up Enemy Scheme markers if you want to. So you can push an enemy into their own Scheme Marker to blow it up, hurt them, and deny Leave Your Mark
  10. I do think the Miner got hit too hard. They made it so that you arw punished for burying it, but also nerfed its survivabilty and mobility so that you kind of have to bury it? Its a bit weird to me. I think the SaS is almost perfect now. The only other thing I would do is autosuit its pull trigger, but not its onslaught trigger (I know they are both the same suit rn) to give it an identity in Faction.
  11. Because 5 is still greater than 4, so you would still need severe to prevent her from disengaging. Not all models need Mv 4. But models with a 12" range, 3/4/5 dmg track, routinely shoot 4 times per Turn, and get Focus from their crew ought to have some counterplay. Before it didnt matter if you engaged Rusty, she simply disengaged and still shot you 3 times. Now thats a bit harder for her.
  12. Its because Disengage reduces Push distance by 2/4/6. So before she was guaranteed to Disengage successfully unless you flipped severe. Now you only need to flip moderate to stop her.
  13. What about for Sabotage? Do you have to reveal the Terrain Piece you chose, or not because its not a "model?"
  14. Normally in Malifaux we see the terms "within" or "not within." Do we consider "At least" to be synonymous with "not within" or like an inclusive or. Does the wording "at least 10 inches apart" allow the Markers to be EXACTLY 10 inches apart, allowing you to bluff Spread Them Out but actually do Runic Binding?
  15. But the question is what happens when the Stiched WINS by 2, but fails the TN?
  16. Sure if you change the wording you are definitely right, but Scamper doesnt check for when "an Action or Ability is resolved" it checks for when "the current Action or Ability is resolved: The current Action is surely the Attack Action, otherwise there would be weird situations where Scamper would resolve twice.
  17. But the terrifying duel was generated by an Attack Action. Surely that is what must be resolved before Scamper?
  18. Dont forget that Molly can stone for cards, redraw her hand, and remove markers for cards, plus this is a faction with Intuition on an Upgrade. In a generic crew, Archie will rarely leap, but when played in Keyword I suspect there will be very little change.
  19. Magical Training: Exists Literally Every Other Faction: "I just came here to have a good time and i honestly feel so attacked rn"
  20. But the issue is that Claim Jump and LYM are both very low AP Schemes. So it would be very easy for an opponent to score them on Turn 2, then spend 3 and 4 denying your points before scoring them again on Turn 5. So if you dont take them and they are in the pool you are just screwing yourself out of easy points
  21. For what they are rn they should be 5 cost models (if you give them 5 wounds)
  22. I imagine its going to be the Deliver a Message of GG1, as in if LYM is in the pool both players always take it. You need to drop the marker to deny your opponent from scoring anyway, so you may as well always take it. If you dont, you just end up sending models to the middle and spending AP denying your opponent, but literally the same actions you take to deny them would also score you points...
  23. It means he can teleport to Symbols of Authority Markers, Interact, and teleport out with 0 counterplay. Edit: Nvm they are not blocking
