  1. Personally, I don't like sandboxes. Preparing one is very time-consuming, and frequently, both plot and pace suffer because of open world structure. That being said, I love when players show initiative and suprise me with their ideas. I think my favored adventures are closed scenarios with some room for player's ingenuity. I also liked In defense of Innocence. I'm definitely interested in the new one.
  2. I tried slightly modified recruitment drive. The fated boarded a train in Breachtown to travel through the Breach for the first time. They had no tickets and didn't want to loose all the money in scrip exchange, so they stole tickets. On board, they had a friendly conversation with another passenger about strange new world of Malifaux. I emphesized how stunning the sensation of Breach-crossing is, described views through the window (they are pretty significant: the General Governor's fortress-manor, the great Hanging Tree, and sprawling metropolis of Malifaux City) ... and then Transmortis minions brutally derailed the train on train station. Because it was dark and an attack surprised everyone, I tried to describe some twisted features of the attackers instead of explaining they were robo-zombies. They struggled to get out of damaged train and fought to survive an attack. After the skirmish, I made it clear that the authorities are NOT interested in chasing the attackers in the sewers. The fated saw the monstrocities abducted people from the train station, AND they could not find their point of contact, who was supposed to meet them on the station... As soon as I find satisfying way to play TTB online, I'll make a re-run.
  3. I play roleplaying games through Discord. I haven't found TTB bot/macro, though. I'll check that roll20 page, thanks!
  4. 9 games in M3E under my belt, so there's a lot of things still waiting to amaze me Thanks to Regelridden for a great thread idea. I use/plan to use models you mentioned and I find it helpful and insightful. I was surprised how killy Iggy can be in new edition. I hired him as a scheme runner/anti-scheme runner, but frequently he managed to take down opponent's support pieces, including Maddox and Amina Naidu. I think both me and my opponents underestimated this model. Of course, I still believe the best use of this model is Arson.
  5. I would really want to be wrong, but because of the date I suspect disappointment. My Guesses: 1) Fated Character Pursuit illustration from TTB Neverborn expansion book. 2) Umbra henchman for Explorer's Society. 3) Model for the Court of Two.
  6. IMHO the biggest change in rules is terrain. I would say Cover is completely watered down, on the other side, concealment (ie: forest) is strong, though there are many powerful ranged models that ignore both special rules. I ordered a manufacture of high fence terrains to simply block line of sight because of that.

  8. Regarding my limited pool of models, I consider him as a mandatory addition to Dora's lists. He has the best lure in our faction, both stat- and trigger-wise. Till now, I only used him with Teddy and Candy. Fast, unactivated Teddy ~10" away from my deployment zone discourages my opponents from making daring moves on the first turn, so I can score points more easely next turn. Later on, I use him for his 3 lures to put enemies out of position, or to bring poor Candy back to action. He's a decent Vendetta maker. Are there any factions without an access to thwarting enemy's positioning? Seriously asking, I don't know the 3rd edition that well...
  9. I am limited in my model options but I've been successful with Core box + Iggy + Teddy. Either I use all the models or swap a Sorrow for 2 Ancient Pacts (not the best host for this upgrade but frankly speaking Woes lack a good one). Interesting turn 1 gambit: Candy gives sweets to Teddy and Kade with the Crow trigger, so that they both get fast and suffer 2 dmg. Then Kade activates, walks 2 times, lures Teddy and performs 'Where's Teddy?' Action to move teddy again, heal both models and open potential charge lines for his big, fluffy buddy. That way you have inactivated, fast Teddy 10" away from your deployment zone. You can place Kade slightly behind Teddy to make him a valid jumping point for Sorrows. Drawbacks? You leave Candy behind, plus you probably don't have points for some Pandora delivery models (ie. Hooded Rider).
  10. It's not countering, it's excelling at it.
  11. I think your reasoning is correct.
  12. They are very cheap schemers, can be dropped from Fly with me trigger for extra black blood damage, as you have already pointed out they provide you with cheap and numerous corpse source, plus they are Nephilim, so their deaths trigger Nekima's 'Don't kill my Nephilim!' Outrage aura. Three Hounds can put 3 scheme markers on the centerline much easier than a Mature Nephilim - what's the point hiring Mature if you can hire 3 hounds
  13. McCabe summoning 2 additional models after leaving the play? I would consider taking this upgrade
  14. You used to play Gremlins - they've got faction-worth of models in such a bizzare esthetic.
  15. Do they synergize with the Frenzies? NVM, they don't.
  16. Grootslang's already been released.
  17. When: 28-29.04, start at 9.30 am Where: Warsaw Wargaming Club 'Dragon' (Al. Krakowska 114 - Instytut Lotnictwa) Format: 50 ss Fixed Faction, 5 games, gg2018, +1TP for using painted models only Fee: 15 PLN Contact: https://www.facebook.com/events/180234032700005/
  18. Lelu w. his upgrade can damage himself to draw and discard card.
  19. Who's gonna be new lead rules designer of Malifaux?
  20. Lucius cannot hire Lazarus - please re-read 'Hate the Maker' ability of the latter.
  21. IMHO she's a way of taking Strum the Threads outside Collodi's Crew (i.e. in Dreamer's).
  22. Recently I had a good game vs. the best Neverborn player in my city (I'm average at best). We played Corner Deployment, Symbols of Authority. I chose my trusty Summoning Pandora vs. his Grown up Dreamer. I'm short of cheap models and scheme runners (My Insidious Madnesses are constantly killed by those models with min. 3 dmg Ca actions) and someone have to pick the Symbols, so I decided to test run a Coppelius with On the Dreaming Wings. I lost the game 5 to 6 pts, but Coppelius was surprisingly good. He killed an Alp and a Tot before the latter could remove any of my Symbols, Removed the last enemy's Symbol, and if I were a better player I would use him to summon an Alp thus denying opponent's Punish the Weak. I'm going to test Coppelius more, especially in this Strategy. Even my opponent was positively surprised by his performance, and usually he's allergic to subpar models.
  23. Ad. 89., Bone Pile, Ply for Information: can the second model be targeted with actions? To be more specific: can I interact with two-headed Bone Pile with Intel to gain Intel, because 'the second one' doesn't have the condition?
  24. Sonnia, but I play Dreamer and Pandora only. If I had Lilith she wouldn't be such a pain. She ignores all my defensive mechanics, guarantees a hit with her powerful attack no matter how high I cheat, and is immune to most of my attacks.
