  1. The big advantage of Insidious is that Aura they put out. On top of that Titania can mitigate their squishiness by taunting whatever she drops into their aura. Though having iggy along also helps there as well with Martyr
  2. Honestly her crew will be the thing that changes based on schemes and strats, if you like lilith, she's a good generalist. There are masters that are more specialized that have better match ups but for the most part lilith will do fine. The big reason to play more than lilith is that your opponent can start bringing specialized crews if they know you always play one master. For a second master for neverborn, you can almost never go wrong adding Lynch. He's a casting beater, and card manipulator. Plus he comes with Neverborn's all-star minions The Illuminated.
  3. Don't forget that the Dreamer has to "call his shot" before he summons. You have to declare the model you want to summon, set the TN, then flip. If he's just flipping and summoning whatever matches the flip, that's incorrect and can lead to the perception that summoners are broken.
  4. For gremlins, any flesh tone, pale ones are particularly dissonant and off putting. Similarly with the pigs go for "unnatural" blues and oranges. Dissonant crews mess with your opponent.
  5. The University of Transmortis offers a couple of options for dealing with them. Student of Viscera is just generally good against living targets, aiming to get that high damage so that if it is reduced each swing is still putting out the hurt. Student of Steel ignores armor entirely, and is useful if your opponent brings Lazarus or for removing Abominations summoned by Rusty Alyce (who makes an occasional appearance in VS crews). Plus they bring lecture notes, shutting down some of the tasty triggers in the crew.
  6. I would say that's dependant on the wording of individual models. Collette for example has the same timing a trigger with the timing of "when reduced to 0 wounds" so it would become a timing question of applying triggers, thus defender's trigger first. Sheildbearers have a replacement ability for "when killed" so the summon would happen first, then when you kill and remove the model you instead apply its replacement effect, in this case healing all wounds, attaching an upgrade, and dropping a corpse.
  7. I actually don't even use Champion. I run An Audience With the Queen, Behold My Glory, and The Forest Claims All. Most of my kills happen near Titania so there's always tons of markers to feed movement or Malifaux Provides on Nekima.
  8. I would love a Neverborn/Outcast master that's black blood oriented. Someone tainted by Nekima but doesn't give up their humanity to align fully with the neverborn. For master gimmicks I'd basically do a master version of the black blood shaman, increases the range of black blood pulses and does damage to thier own models to grant beneficial effects. A full on support master.
  9. I'm inclined to say summon, because of the wording "reduce to 0" instead of "kill or sacrifice"
  10. I would say it's (when a model engaged with this model fails a willpower deul outside this model's activation) (this model may make a Ml attack action against it after resolving the current action) Meaning you need to be engaged before the deul is started.
  11. Hanna has arcane reservoir, Anna has Rush, and Sue draws on his activation not as Rush of magic.
  12. I like Nekima, and Changelings, and primordial magic. With Titania able to place a model close to her, taunt it, and command Nekima to attack, it gets pretty easy to delete problematic models. Changelings are great, especially being able to take the ranged pounce. Scheming is generally done by the Knights or, if it needs to be somewhere not in combat, the Changelings. Primordial magic does its thing namely Rush of Magic and occasional scheme marker substitute.
  13. I'm hoping for the SRM to get neverborn this block. Maddening howl sounds like something I'd love to have in crews. Personally I'm jumping ship on the child just because I'm a big Hamelin fan. Though once she's blighted I'll see about getting her back over here.
  14. I desperately want the kid to go outcasts this block. Blighted teddy bear makes me happy.
  15. I would guess Woe for the trickster personally. Though what kind of woe I have no idea. I got a win for the trickster this week and lost to 10T for the SRM, but brilliance is basically a half neverborn trait, so I'm okay with that.
  16. One thing about the bit with exhaust and catch and release, the actions to remove the conditions aren't "interact" they're "shake it off" and "rip it out"
  17. Nothing. The Voodoo Doll only passes along wounds and conditions.
  18. Photocopies of cards in the book are legal for tournament play. As far as proxy miniatures, in casual games that is up to you and your opponent in tournament games it is dependant on the tournament organizer. Gaining Grounds (for offical wyrd tournaments) requires coversions to be 66% wyrd models and I would recommend having the actual model handy in case of disputes.
  19. If Jack Daw attacks a model with Firing Squad Injustice attached, and he has "The Bigger They Are" attached, and he is using "Noose" and declared the trigger "Remember Injustice" how much damage is dealt as a result of the trigger? My understanding is that the trigger will deal a total of 4 damage: 2 base, +1 from firing squad, +1 from The BIgger They Are. The damage is being increased by both upgrades because the damage is dealt before the curse upgrade is removed and damage from the trigger is still damage being dealt by a Close Attack Action. Exact Relevant Texts Remember Injustice: After damaging a target with a Cursed Upgrade attached which starred the game attached to this model, the target suffers 2 damage. Reattach the Cursed Upgrade to this model, face down. Death by Firing Squad: ...When this model suffers damage from an Attack Action, it suffers +1 damage. The Bigger They Are...: This model's close(claw) actions which deal damage deal +1 damage to non-Master models with one or more upgrades attached.
  20. Yep, Prison pistols' Tomes trigger is: Tomes The Man Comes Around: After succeeding against target Totem or Peon, the target is killed unless it discards two Soulstones. It's not built in and he's an Enforcer so he can't stone for it, so you need to cheat or flip that tomes. It takes something that rarely comes into play (I've only seen it used once against Huggy) and makes it a possible point of interest. I wouldn't build around it but if Sue and Sun both add enough to the crew otherwise it's something to remember.
  21. Sun Quiang's peon aura + Sue. On a success with a tomes Sue kills peons and totems unless they pitch 2 soulstones. Sue becomes a straight assassin when the good doctor is around.
  22. Man I'm glad the avatars are legal proxies. I really hate the donkey. This and the gremlin one are just too rediculous compared to the other emissaries. The bonus preview is intriguing. New swampfiends maybe? Will-o-wisps?
  23. Again, I'd start with a "non theme" hench for the Viks, since blood costs points to take until you get ashes.
  24. I would start with Rusty Alyce with Desolate Soul, hire in a couple of the heavies (Johan, Lazarus, a Convict Gunslinger, maybe merc a couple Crossroads models) and fill in activation a bit with the Rat Engine (Obedient Wretch, 2x Rat) from there you can expand into several of the masters.
  25. I find piper Hamelin good with Alyce and some other strong mercs. Piper, Survivalist, I Pay Better. Librarian to heal your mercs, Alyce, Taelor, Johan, Hanna, Lazarus take your pick of the mercs, epescially those who like extra moves or attacks courtesy of Hamelin's Obey.
