  1. You only get the positives if you're not charging, which Nekima wants to be doing every time she can, so her actual damage track is 4/6/7 vs 4/5/6, and it's pretty easy to see which of those is better. Hell even her 4/6/7 is better than a 3/4/5 with a positive.
  2. Rat king charges, generates a melee attack action. Charge ends, resolve swarm. Resolve first melee action. After damaging, discard a card for deputy generating an action. Finish damage timing, resolve onslaught generating an action. Generated actions from Deputy and Onslaught resolve at the same time, so active player resolves first. Onslaught attack resolves. Deputy attack resolves.
  3. No one who runs cadmus for the first time is going to be using the crew to it's best, it's incredible easy to forget about or miss stuff in the early games.
  4. Forgot about Lucius. Yeah, he has good card draw too, although it can often be more card cycling than card draw.
  5. Yeah, outside of Marcus and Zoraida the only reliable card draw the faction has is a max of 2 cards per turn from upgrades. That's not really anything to write home about.
  6. I don't see a reason to not do an errata, even if a lot of people haven't been playing a good amount of people have been and there are definitely some things that need addressed in some form(Yan Lo, ninja samurai, fuhatsu, another) A new GG could go either way. I think the staleness of the pools for the people who have been getting games in could be alleviated by mixing up the gg1 and gg0 schemes and strategies.
  7. It says to ignore laugh off for placing using the fallback clause in the rulebook, not for placing from an unburry period.
  8. Yeah, Cadmus is pretty good at it, and a 4" aura + the ~2" for the web marker means that you're operating in the same space you normally would be turn 1. Also it getting healed each time it uses Feed Me as well as having planted roots and grim feast means that Nexus and/or Archivist can use it as a very efficient wound battery.
  9. Yes, it would be unburried per the can't be placed rule, not the normal unburry effect, which is the thing Solkan was replying to and said laugh off can't be used period.
  10. Laugh Off can be used to prevent enemy placement effects, which the unburry is.
  11. Duet replaces during its activation, two coryphee, one ends the activation and is considered activated, other one is unactivated.
  12. Especially considering flush with cash is a thing Cadmus can make excellent use of.
  13. As above is referencing the clause in the rule book, not whatever specific card effect is trying to unbury the model.
  14. Well the good thing is you can see what the threats to your nest are, and hold it back if there are any. Although at least with Seamus, I would definitely trade my shambling nest to get a parasite token onto him turn 1. Needs a 9 to get past terrifying sure, but if my highest card turn 1 is a 9 I have bigger problems anyways.
  15. Definitely not always, which is where hidden agenda comes in. They don't know if you're trying to bait out their high cards or actually trying to force it through. If you're playing against a crew that has those df4 models then the nest becomes an even more serious threat.
  16. I usually have 1 6" away from the enemy(usually with hidden agenda), and 1 6" outside my deployment zone. Hidden Agends one charges in to gum up the works and try to put out a parasite token. 2nd one serves as a punching bag/node to get web markers out around for me to summon eyes and ears off of.
  17. Ever without any = ever with no. It's not a phrase that's telling you to check the entirety of the base to see if there's any part that is still supported. It's definitely the most convoluted and dense way to word it, and takes some unpacking. If the grammatical argument isn't good enough we can also look at the history of falling rules in 3e and ask where are the codified falling rules for how to award the free extra movement to a model that we had in the beta, and why did that section get removed when this phrase was added in.
  18. I don't see a way to interpret "Ever without any of it's base supported" to mean anything other than if any amount of the base is supported, it doesn't fall.
  19. Sovereign is the only AoE heal in keyword IIRC. Anya can at least keep chugging between focused cleansing and siphon life triggers.
  20. The target needs to be near the Rex, not your model. Also, why would you be giving crows to the one model in the crew that already has built in crows? You use tendrils when you need to move something/get a third attack if you're holding a high ram, and you use wild hunt to set up for Titania+whoever else is there. It's a good meme. Rex with Inhuman Reflexes and access to all the abilities from Marcus' upgrades is super solid. True, but it is terrifying 12 in a keyword not known for terrifying, with access to injured in keyword, has 12 health, a way to self heal, HtW, as well as Titania making it immune to RJ damage flips. It's job is to just be in the thick of things with Titania, empowering her main attack and also forcing your opponent to either try and focus down the Rex and leave Titania alone, or focus down Titania and leave the Rex alone.
  21. To add to this, just because a player is narrowly good at the game and can get top table a lot with their preferred crew(s), doesn't mean they're actually good at game design or balance, or even have a good idea of what's good in stuff they don't play.
  22. You mean you don't just go on and complain baselessly about something you've never even played?
