My first turn i usually spend Obeying 3 of my friendly models to push them into position to have an advantage when they finally get to activate. You can easily get protect territory 1st turn this way with 2 silurids and still get them up and away to where you want them.

I am mostly a Resser player (Molly, McMourning) and I also love playing Zoraida for neverborn, but I play Leveticus as my Outcast master since i already had so many models that he can hire. I am keen to start another Outcast master so I am torn between Jack Daw and Hamelin. Which masters do you prefer and why? I tend to really enjoy support type masters myself so what are jack Daw and Hamelin's play styles ?

My wife bought a Cameo Silhouette cutter, so i am going to try it and see how small that machine can cut. Will share my results as soon as I have tried it out

I think the tea would be a good solution. We grow red bush "Rooibos" here in South Africa where i am from, so very easy to get.

Thanks for the links Valhallan42nd, unfortunately where i live online orders are not an option if they can't courier and even then import duties are too steep, so really want to make my own. Dgraz the birch tree seed is a great idea !

Has anyone found a good way of making your own miniature leaves for use on bases? Preferably a technique that doesn't use those scrapbook punches because 1. The scale is usually too large and 2. They are hard to get where I live. I am looking for realistic DIY approaches.

Great work on the scene and mini. I think the backdrop is a bit distracting and not too fond of the airbrush clouds, but the judges will probably love it -

Thanks for the kind words everyone! Too be honest this was such a challenging paint job, and had to repaint a lot of areas which were just so tough to get right. Was my first time trying an OSL technique, but I am very happy with the overall feel of the piece. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the entries! -

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I personally just loved the idea of putting Gracie in a crappy situation, her face just looks so unimpressed. -
It started in the Bayou, and before we could make our escape, the world drowned... My round 2 entry for "The End of the World as We Know it" is titled "The Flood", featuring a helpless Gracie floating on some driftwood as the end of the world approaches.

No way! I am painting the exact same model! Luckily we are not going up against each other And yeah even though I am inflating my own ego here, I feel we both applied a much more creative solution to the theme than the 99% of entries literally showing gold and mines... And also the focus on Iron Painter is you skills and as a painter, which you very clearly show. Dioramas as secondary and won't make up for an average paint job High five to our brilliant interpretation of the theme And great job on your final piece! -
Looks great, I do wish there were a few closeups on the details, or at least taken a bit closer with less of the base, hard to see the quality of the paint job which seems to be great -
