  1. Apologies but I'm (Michael Green) going to have to drop out I'm afraid- this does free up a space for one of the reserves though so it's nopt all bad news:)
  2. The only times I've encountered genuinely hostile opponents or outright cheaters across the table has been in tournaments without sportsmanship soft scoring (WM/H having the worst record) but I've ran tournaments using lots of methods, a reward for the player with the most votes separate from rankings seems to work best, but I've yet to see any format completely without flaws. I do like the raffle idea though, if each player had custom slips they couldn't vote for themselves and the more sporting votes they got the more chances. Good idea.
  3. I love your work, the hillside is immense and the modular board is spectacular
  4. Really nice terrain so far, cant wait to see more:)
  5. fantastic work, really inspiring:)
  6. nice work:) the interior is a particularly fine touch
  7. B seems to be a consensus, though I also think that RaW as Ezryder pointed out say it isn't considered a new action (the rail golem text says 'make' not 'declare', sometimes it's best to ignore RaW as suggested and go with what makes sense:) Ta!
  8. thanks for the reply, Worst Case for who? I assure you the option we chose was definitely the worst case for montressor, bad things happened repeatedly there:) I would have accepted B myself, so I'm fairly open to that idea:) the discussion seemed to centre around the use of the word 'declare', do you 'declare' actions caused by actions (Lazarus mimic for example- does he declare mimic, then declare the mimicked ability?) and does that change the original action type? (from tactical-attack in this case)
  9. Hi, played a great game Tuesday against Jack Daw, and he dumped firing squad injustice on my Rail Golem, this raised a question- Firing squad injustice causes damage when the model 'declares an attack action', when I use Locomotion to make a melee attack, I declare a tactical action (locomotion) which then leads to a ML attack (rail bash), would people think this follows <A> or <B> below- A> declare a (0)tactical action (locomotion), lower burning condition, choose to make a free (1)ML attack (rail bash), bash montressor, potentially repeat as triggers get involved etc or B> declare a (0)tactical action (locomotion), lower burning condition, choose to make a free (1) ML attack (rail bash), Declare the (1) Melee action (rail bash) take 2 damage from Firing squad Injustice, bash Montressor, potentially repeat as triggers get involved including any more damage caused by the injustice After a discussion with the other players around it was decided to go with (a) as the rail golem is declaring a tactical action, which just happens to allow a ML attack, rather than declaring an Attack action, but I was interested in hearing others opinions (I hate feeling like I may have got something wrong, especially if it was in my favour, as then I keep thinking that maybe I cheated...)
  10. you have some amazing skill, and a really nice ability to share how and why you do it:)
  11. that stocking is spot on, really sweet stuff:)
  12. love all your conversion work, it's fantastic, also nice to see some ripper jacks in circulation:) what is the mobile toolkit model? it's brilliant!
  13. some really nice, crisp painting there, nice one:)
  14. Thanks both, much appreciated:) turns out I understood this just fine but completely failed on the soulstone rules (thought 'adding a suit' replaced the suit on the card) that level of difficulty for 2 free reinforcements a turn seems fine, 3 would need to be a pretty desperate situation to justify a soulstone on a 1/10 chance (not counting a cheat)
  15. hi, this is probably a silly question, but I'm just starting to get to grips with Ramos, and the wording on the ability that allows him to summon the steam arachnids has me a little confused. the target number is 10(+3(tome)) for each arachnid I want to summon, does this mean the target numbers are:- 1 arachnid=13(tome) 2 arachnids=16(tome) 3 arachnids=19(tome) or 1 arachnid=13(tome) 2 arachnids=16(tome)(tome) 3 arachnids=19(tome)(tome)(tome) I played it version 2 last game, but if it is that way, where on earth do I get the third tome from? (one on my Ca. one on the card, the last one?) Cheers Mick
  16. ah, the technical approach... loving it:) see you tonight
  17. hey Dom and Bert:) how many ss are we playing tomorrow Dom?
  18. Hey, Mick here in newport south Wales, just picked up Ramos, am very excited about getting my backside handed to me by Dumb Luck my local henchman,I have admired the robot elements of Malifaux for a few years, and will be experimenting with how useful an all construct force could be, looking forward to meeting some people at Deliverance where I'm running the Bushido tournament :-)
