I used Humbrol Liquid Poly on my Smoke Tara crew and everything is still as translucent as when it was on the sprue. I should imagine other plastic glues would also work. I'd be wary of superglue because of frosting, but then why anyone uses superglue for plastic models is beyond me anyway!

Really nice crew. Cool to see a fully realised Shenlong crew ahead of the 'real thing'.

Quite like the Paralyzed idea. I'd even be tempted to suggest they also count as Peons on the turn they're summoned. Would help big time in Recon...

Having played a few 35SS games and only feeling totally overwhelmed coming up against Nicodem, I can certainly see the merit of testing some of these ideas out. And that's the point: there's no value in saying X suggestion is terrible or that Y is the panacea that forever balances summoners at 35SS without any playtesting! It's surely just like the Beta for the main rules, no? Don't we need some data before anyone can flat out dismiss or approve of any suggestion? And anyway, these are only suggestions for house rules, it's not like everyone will have to abide by them if they don't want!

Yeah, I meant cynical rather than disingenuous really - poor word choice. In that some posters seem to be assuming Wyrd are being dishonest without any real evidence.

My issue with the whole argument is that Wyrd have admitted a mistake with Nekima - the price - but not a perceived mistake over scale. Whilst I agree that she does look smaller than expected, if people insist on saying there has been a scaling error, then those people are effectively accusing Aaron and Wyrd of actively lying to their customer base, which is a little disingenuous in my view.

Plastic for sure, but for a couple of exceptions (Bishop for example - the hair on the plastic is terrible frankly!). But anyway, this argument is becoming increasingly redundant given that it is no longer possible to buy most of the metals at retail. Can't get them from Wyrd, so you're left with any stock that LGSs might have, which won't include in demand models like Colette, Widow Weaver etc. It'll be plastic for all soon enough. Hopefully...

So I've finally got enough stuff painted to actually warrant a topic to show people. My painting has improved massively over the last year or so as I've started cranking out more miniatures. This'll mostly be Guild to start with, plus a few Mercs mixed in, but once I've finished Sonnia, Lady J and Perdita I have a choice to make about what direction to go next, based on the crew boxes I've got sitting unassembled! Anyway, comments welcomed!
