  1. So I've slowly been working my way through the gremlin masters, testing them out and enjoying each for different reasons. Ophelia is fun for her solo rampage, Mah is fun for those nasty alpha strikes, and Somer is...just great! I'm building Wong now and excited for him, but I'm already thinking of who to get next. Brewmaster looks seriously fun in a Ten Thunders crew but I've played against gremlin Brewmaster on several occasions and he just seems unimpressive. Are my opponent's not playing him properly, or is he just not worth playing in gremlins?
  2. Well after high jacking a thread about Ironside with this I figure it might as well be in the general faction area, because honestly it make no sense that it happened in the faction with the least dual faction masters. I tend to think the game is running into an issue with dual faction masters, no I am not saying that they are bad. What dual faction masters do you like and why and where do you think they have gone wrong. I think the goal with dual faction masters is to be equal but different between there factions Feel free to talk about theme or feel of a faction or master. I may start one for multi faction crew leading masters like Marcus or we can cover them here as well, what do people think? I could go either way.
  3. So, the preface. Tara isn't a world killer and likely won't be getting the job done on her own, but is highly versatile and, most importantly (for me, at least), has a cool theme. She's pretty well-rounded and has no exceptional characteristics apart from her high volume of actions. Her main strength is having a lot of tricks, and interestingly it isn't crushing if you lose her, since she's more often assisting than doing the heavy lifting herself. Her crew tends towards a very high action count, which makes it able to switch between a focus on objectives and straight fighting, though I think her style still ultimately favors objectives. I've found that she's most rewarding to play right near the front lines, closer than you usually want your support piece, as her strongest abilities and tricks require her and her allies to be very near enemies. Combined with pretty average stats and the fact that she's regularly going to be emptying your hand, this places her in the category of a finesse/tricks master. On to my supah-long Tactics article, because it's way too long to reformat that again here, especially since I plan to continue updating this with experience. Link! (if you've got questions, criticism, etc. here or my blog are both fine)
  4. Hi all, just finished my second big tactics article, this time on Mei. Starting off... In keeping with aggressive pose, Mei Feng is a powerhouse and anchor of her crew, which I quite enjoy, as I tend towards support commanders, so I'm very much in to the idea of a strong commander who can still run support a little. She's got a bit of an odd character because, while she's a bouncing death ball and has some useful defensive support, it's her Henchman, Kang, who brings more of the power and offensive support to the crew. 5. This is mostly a little bit of opinion/preference rather than any specific "what's better" question, but I'm wondering what preferences are on the several dual faction 10T masters. So...bit of a list and 3-minute observations on the ones in question: Misaki (Dual with Outcasts) - I haven't had a ton of time with the main girl, but she seems to be rather independant of her crew. I'm guessing at that point it comes down to which upgrades you most want access to - and I'm prone to want to run her as 10T. Mei Feng (Dual with Arcanists) - no real clue, not my playstyle. She seems to benefit from constructs, which are more abundant in Arcanists, though Komainu and access to Foundry models helps. Jakob Lynch (Dual with Neverborn) - his core crew doesn't change much for me and a ton of what gets taken are inherently dual faction anyway. However, I'm currently more likely to run him as Neverborn for easier access to objective runners - once you get the Ace of Masks, Terror Tots become even more absurdly useful at the role, for instance. Yan Lo (Dual with Resurrectionists) - this is another one where I feel like most of your core crew is going to stay the same regardless of what faction you declare - plus things like Toshiro come pre-equipped with rules that let them use their preferred models. I'm leaning towards Rezzer primarily, as I see a bit more use out of some the generics there. Lucas McCabe (Dual with Guild) - absolutely no idea, never played him or seen him played >_> Brewmaster (Dual with Gremlins) - not really sure...nor am I sure it matters. You pretty much have to take an upgrade if you want to make full use of Tri-Chi models regardless and I'm not familiar enough with Gremlins at the moment to make any opinions.
