  2. Those look really good, Viruk! I love the rusty colour scheme!
  3. Looking good! Colette really likes her white boots. Not to sure on the yellow green combo. The cards and books turned out great. I never manage that small details.
  4. The 30th of March is International Tabletop Day. We can't let that pass unnoticed, now can we? Come and visit us in Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands and come play Malifaux, Evil Baby Orphanage, and many, many other games! For more info, please have a look at our website (in Dutch): http://alphengamesguild.nl/ai1ec_event/international-tabletop-day/?instance_id=
  5. You better play Arcanists, because that table attracts Tomes!
  6. With our Grow League having started, I am working on my Ramos crew. The first games where with unassembled miniatures, and now I got the basic crew together. Starting with 25ss games for the first two weeks, and 30ss games for the two weeks after that, this crew will be able to be the basis for the league, and the crew I want to play with on 30ss. Unpainted as yet, but finished assembling the bases and models. Foto isn't too good, but I am proud on how the bases turned out. Crew: Magnetised spider swarms: And this is how the spiders turn out when they are not swarmed: Really looking forward to painting these! I want to go for metal and bronze, with blue and orange as spot colours to tie the crew together.
  7. Wow, those really pop out! Maybe a bit too much for my taste. That goes for the Kirai and the Seamus crew, the Guild has more dark tones to set it off. Love Kirai, she is dark and brooding, but still very bright.
  8. I like the vibrant colours. The purple pig is cool
  9. That looks amazing! Kaeris is a fine model, and you did her justice! The base is very cool as well.
  10. Starting second of March there will be a Grow League held at the Alphen Games Guild in Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands. The League will take 10 weeks (5 clubdays) in which you can score points for fighting battles, and painting miniatures. During this time the local Henchman will be available for demo's. This is a good moment to start playing Malifaux, or build a new crew. In the course of the league you will learn to play your crew in progressively bigger and more complicated encounters. There will also be a painting competition and tournament held during this period, in which you can participate with your growing crew and growing painting skills. Are you interested, and want to participate? Read more about the event (in Dutch) on our website and forum. Also you can contact me for more info. See you breachside!
  11. Yeah, he shoots like a machinegun,,but is made of paper otherwise. Have to give that guardian a try sometimes.
  12. Nice! I alleays get facerolled by the viki's, so it's good to read the other perspective
  13. Looks really great. I like the 'plain' look on the dreamer, it really makes him stand out in between in nightmares. Good colour schemes.
  14. Argh, Hamelin and Nix featured in my dream this night... That was odd... Any of you guys ever dream about Malifaux?
  15. Looks good Dogmeat! I am about to start painting my Ramos crew, and will be stealing your trick with the Electrical Creation eye. It looks really good! Did you use a gloss clear-coat for that, or a matt one?
  16. Those look nice! The OSL on Ramos looks cool. Do you have an idea what you want to do with the bases?
  17. Thursday 21 february I will be at De Tafelridder in Leiden for Demo's and week 6 for Dead of Winter. Location: Spellenspeciaalzaak De Tafelridder Oude Herengracht 11a 2312LN Leiden Telefoon 06-19910057 We will start at 18:30, and continue till the store closes (22:00, maybe a little later). I will hand out achievement sheets. The player with most achievement points at the end of the day may nominate a faction. That faction will get a vote to determine the week 6 winner (and faction who will get the last story!). More info: - De Tafelridder on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/DeTafelridder - Alphen Games Guild forum: http://alphengamesguild.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=919 See you there!
  18. Looks great! The colours fit the models very well. Is Misaki wearing white socks? Or is it the light on her flesh? Thought wearing white (sport)socks was fashionmurder, at least, that's what my girlfriend says when I wear them outside the gym. A girl wouldn't wear them, right?
  19. I love reading this discussion! There are some really valid statements and views about the subject. I would like to add, that as a long time gamer, this is the first game where I hear people say "I was lucky, but you won". In fact, it seems to be said quite often. For me the top three would probably be: - crew selection: selecting the right crew for the job, a crew that eorks together and a crew you are comfortable with (know the rules, interactions and fits the objectives and your playstyle) - know your opponent: know his crew, play style, common pitfalls - skill during the game: actually doing the right move at the right time. Using the soulstones when it matters, setting up favourable table position, using cover, not overextending yourself, etc. I am itchng to add 'have fun'. If you see the 'outcome of a game' in a broader perspective then just winning, but ending it with a good feeling making the game fun (for yourself and your opponent) really influences that. The best games and moments I remember have nothing to do with winning, but cool situations and tricks. That is the long lasting outcome of those games. But I know thst isn't the subject here Anyways, that's my less articulate $0.02 as I am not a native speaker.
  20. Looking mighty fine! Looking forward to see it painted. Where did you get the rails? If it turns out half as good as your other models, it will still be beautifull. One day I want to have the same painting skills!
  21. Those look very good. And coherent as a group. I like the inclusion of top-down shots, especially on the belles. ---------- Post added at 04:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:44 PM ---------- My German should be good enough to read stuff. You have a linky?
  22. Looks very good! The flesh colours are very dark, too dark imo. And I love the bases! They are neat!
  23. Also note that the target of the spell does not suffer additional damage for touching a blast marker. This is so for every model, not just the dreamer
