  1. Heh, fun concept, I like that quite a bit.
  2. Don't design buildings to have multiple heights/elevation- the mechanics for them are really difficult. Same goes for doors narrower than 3". The game will make all sorts of confusing or counterintuitive things happen, which would definitely be a barrier for new players.
  3. Oh man! Damien! I'm glad someone else remembers that game...
  4. Thanks! Glad the contrast read, I was a little worried it would just look uncolored from the back. On the light source, cowboys always seem to be hanging out around camp fires at night, so I was kinda' thinking that. Either the victim had been, or maybe cowboy camp fires are an instinct that even death can't prevent.
  5. gators also didn't fit in their box, similarly clipped
  6. Fun story, though her standing on the rock like that is a bit weird.
  7. Fun concept, though waghorn's got a point, particularly the one that's a different style kinda' brought it down for me.
  8. Props for doing OSL hand-painted, airbrush is so much faster but doesn't have anywhere near the texture. Fun idea, and the silhouette was immediately recognizable even before adding the mini.
  9. Cute, I like the eyes in particular.
  10. For this round's theme, I'd rather be the chillin' dead Death Marshal than the poor dude he's holding. This guy's one of my favorite Wyrd sculpts ever, wanted to do him justice. There's something that approaches "casual badass" in this pose, and I always like a well done static model (since they usually just look boring).
  11. I'm sorry to nay-say, but I think Malifaux is possibly the most reliant on gameplay of any game I've seen, and it sounds like what you're proposing is to just go on theory based on the card. I'll go with Lucius, since I know him okay Style- while scheme markers are something he can use, I wouldn't say they define his play style- he can run without them and doesn't need them, he just has an advantage in marker-heavy pools. Constraint- no, not really. You started this by talking about people assuming things about masters. Lucius obviously runs well with minions, but he actually only needs enough that by the end of the game he still has a couple around, and doesn't even need the bulk of his force to be them. You can get by with maybe 4 if you pick well, which I wouldn't consider a major constraint. You're certainly encouraged to pick more, but when you cay constraint, I think limitation, not synergy, and I think past that minimum, you're largely talking about flexibility and insurance- once you get to 4ish, you're looking at him running reasonably efficiently. Limited upgrades- yes, there aren't any strictly limited, but he has two (0) action upgrades and limited slots, so it seems worth mentioning that there are traditional choices you make, and how it affects his play style. Force multiplication- of all the things I'd call force multiplying, it's not that. He has a ton of abilities that are about high efficiency, getting extra accuracy, or turning 1 AP into 2+. He also is very reliant on his hand, so I wouldn't consider an ability which drains his hand multiplying force.
  12. Yeah, I use double focus when I absolutely need a severe damage to get through, but other than that it's not very valuable other than negating a negative to hit IMHO.
  13. I think I had all the non-LE ones, if anyone's interested in buying (PM of course).
  14. She's right on the edge, where I wouldn't take her unless she's doing at least two things I need. I consider her an anchor, where she often has I Pay Better, there's a decent chance I'll use her for her super-explosion melee attack and push a decent portion of a turn to set it up to swing the game; hand size matters more with some lists than others, and if she's not duplicating moves (2+ guys who she can copy effectively) you're losing a lot of her flexibility (and value) IMHO. I wouldn't take her where you need to be particularly fast or spread out, would probably consider her in most other contexts.
  15. Yeah, the molds are very different, with PVC having a way lower initial mold price AFAIK. Your speculation sounds right, just curious since I'd heard it.
  16. I heard someone talking about aionus as PVC being something for just the first run and he'd later be out in HIPS? Anyone know if this is the case?
  17. Huh. I thought "they" wasn't properly used in the singular, but turns out it was until recently. Yeah. +1 on a slightly anachronistic but otherwise correct "they."
