  1. I think that Gremlins have several better Masters if you want to kill the opposing Master. I also don't think that she can kill all that many opposing Masters in one round and she will go down to a concentrated effort rather easily. Raphael? I love him, but he is one of the least synergistic Gremlins with Mah. She can Push them which helps them keep up.
  2. She is tremendously good in simply tying up half the opposing crew, though, which is something that Imbued Protection would emphasize. Besides, there will be enough chances to hit back despite the +1 Df. Because really, hitting Ironsides is voluntary (most of the time) so the opponent usually makes the decision - in other words, if they are good, they have more to win than lose when hitting Ironsides.
  3. Then there's also Imbued Protection to consider, I think. With the positive twists from Challenge the Crowd, that one point of Df can be really nice.
  4. To be fair, Wyrd themselves were unhappy with how their models were broken down into parts and changed the service they used. If you look at Miss Ery, for example, she is what, six pieces, while Hannah is over sixty? And I don't think that Hannah is ten times better looking
  5. Judging from the art, it's a magical effect emanating from the hole in her chest: http://www.wyrd-games.net/Newsletter_v3/Ads/WYR20520-HeraldofObliteration.jpg
  6. Plastic molds are rigid so you can't have undercuts. Wyrd minis are sculpted as 3D models and then some automated program breaks them into pieces for molding making sure there are no undercuts. This, however, means that you can end up with things like Yan Lo's beard.
  7. It's on a 40mm base. Here's a pic of someone's force where you can see Goat Man in the back and quite a few human-sized minis. I think he is the perfect size for a Blessed.http://smg.photobucket.com/user/ImperialDwarf/media/muuta/sw7.jpg.html
  8. Rabbage is supposed to crumble and explode?
  9. Thank you so much for the kind words, everyone! Much appreciated! I always thought it a bit gimmicky but you might be right. I'll look into it if I can find a drill bit that's the correct size. You are totally correct. This mini is also all wrong in the dark-light -side of things as well in that it gets darker towards the upper parts which is completely the wrong way around. Neither has been done on purpose, mind - I'm just not very good at planning...
  10. Bete Noire: I didn't want blood on her though I suppose it would fit. Then Graveyard Spirit - not my favourite sculpt ever, but I was really satisfied with the colour choices for him. I really need to fix the base rim, though. What do you think?
  11. I seem to recall quite a few Wave 1 minis getting a bit of a boost after the fact (TT Archers, Samurai, Oiran, Nothing Beast, Katrina, I'm probably forgetting someone...). Not saying that you're wrong, just that it wouldn't be impossible for there to be Upgrade love somewhere along.
  12. I believe they are 6mm. You can easily find a nice lot of tiny dice in various colours for really cheap. Something like this, for example:http://www.dx.com/p/colorful-6mm-super-mini-gaming-dice-50-pack-32790 When you go to an official tournament in the US. No you can't. Your viewpoint is extremely skewed by your vicinity to a huge hub of Faux-players.
  13. If it is about Gremlins being a real faction, then it's serious business!
  14. Very nice! Especially nice considering that you lost your Master on turn three - really goes to show how Malifaux is about keeping your eye on the prize
  15. Oh man, those look great! I absolutely love the pattern on the third's back. Seriously great stuff. You have a very smooth and natural yet really bright style and the colour variations are amazing. Brilliant!
  16. And then there was Tara. I have had her painted to a certain level for ages but decided to finish her for the Ropecon tournament. Which was good since I won best painted with her in the lead. Hooray! The pics came out somehow not very good despite that I usually get nice results from my light box. Not quite sure what I did wrong but here goes anyway.
  17. I think the Gremlins are very nasty against beginners and generally on the high end of the power curve but against other good crews and experienced players they aren't worse than anything else, really. But what ZFiend is referring to is that our meta is kinda in its infancy and there are only a few people I could really play against with my Gremlins in Mexican Standoff mode (maximizing VP difference).
  18. Damn you're good! Cyan as a pop colour works just so well for these. Also, your blacks are seriously good stuff. Really lively. And the Vault Dweller Ghouls is simply amazing. The fur on the dog also rocks on toast. Awesome work!
  19. Awesome stuff! I love the bold colours on the mindless zombies! It looks like you had fun. And the Iron Zombies look amazing - the metal work is lovely and contrasts beautifully against the skin. Great work! As for Miss Terious, superb! I'm not usually a fan of blacklining but you've kept it very thin yet crisp and it works really well on this sculpt. The only thing I'm not completely sold on is the axe - I'm not sure what the dark and light metal depict. Maybe just a gradient would look better? But on the whole, seriously, fantastic work!
  20. All haggard and foreboding in the front and then pretty pretty princess on the back? :D But seriously, I really like the interplay of the different elements here and the white is again wonderfully executed. I'm also super fond of your colour scheme and it works just excellently here. Thank you for posting, once again!
  21. Ah, the noblest of creatures. I'm half of a mind to organize a Mexican standoff of my own: Gremlins against the rest. Six players per side with the "rest" side having one player for each of the remaining factions. But I'm way too busy currently to organize such a thing - maybe later
