The big Guy is the sergeant. If you mean the hunched over masked guy with the hat I'm pretty sure he is holding a walking stick. He also has a wig like they wear in some British courts. Bald masked guy with the fancy coat could be Dashel, he looks quite different from the pewter model but he did get a promotion. I guess the big guy is the sergeant if the handle in his left hand is an axe, the belt weapon only being extra stuff added for flavour. Arcanists: Ramos, Rapsy, Marcus, Mei With the rerelease of the mei feng box, the arcanists are just edging the gremlins out. With Zoraida, the Dreamer, and Lucius coming out, the Neverborn are shooting to the top of the completed list with just Collodi still out. Ressurs are just missing the Molly, if Yan Lo got a re-box (I don't know if he did), putting them at six as well. Guild are at 5? I think, unless Relic Hunters got a rebox, in which case they're only missing hoffman putting them at six as well. Ten Thunders, if all the reboxing I recall is correct is at 5, missing Brewie and Shen Long. From there, the numbers droop a little bit. Outcasts are at 4, missing Hamelin, Levi, and Daw. The Arcanists are missing 3: Kaeris, Ironsides, and Colette, and the gremlin are missing four. I think the arcanist's are falling a little behind because they've only got the one cross faction. Putting out a Zoraida or a Lucius lets you get another tally in two factions. Putting out Colette or Kaeris only affects the Arcanists. Not that that's a solid reason to put them out last or whatever, but I genuinly think that's why they're falling behind. The Gremlin are in the back, simply because of the sheer amount of new content they're going to need to get them caught up. They literally had 2 masters, if you count Som'er and Ophelia, which means the other five needed a ground up design, and tons of new models. And that was further delayed by the problems that have been hashed to death on the forums. That being said- (rambly rant is rambly!) I'm excited for the releases at hand. I would've loved a Kaeris crew, m'self, but Kirai, 2-3 books, a decent number of decks, and potentially a dreamer crew (maybe? DeleteAccount Posted August 6, 2014 Report Share Posted August 6, 2014 From Eric's replies on A Wyrd Place, it looks like the "And More..." will be non-crew boxes, and stuff that supports the crew boxes released, so we might see Waldgeists, Seishin, Dashel, Datsue Ba, etc. Apparently, there are 16 new boxes for Gencon, or at least, that's the hope. But but but... SHENLOOOONG! As for the Kirai box, Justin told me by chat that my estimate of Kirai box being Kirai, Ikiryo, 2 Seishin, 2 Onryo and the Lost Love was pretty good, so I'm assuming that's the whole package for her. Pretty light on actual stones, but well, that's kind of how Kirai rolls, and with the growing of the Ikiryo and Seishin, I assume it became harder to add more stuff and keep costs down, a pirty Datsue Ba couldn't be fitted in, she would have given the box some much needed SS mass. As for the Lucius box, who the HELL is Dashel?! It's the thing that intrigues me the most. I'm still convinced it can't be the fat guy, he just screams sergeant to me. As for why Lord Chompy Bitz changed from his other design, there was critics of it not being pretty chompy (I frankly agreed) and it was brought back to the nightmare which is bloody amazing, so that's an A+ from me. She is also DooOOooOOooOOooOOooMed and I'm convinced will be released last, after all wave 2 crews are done. --- So I think Kirai looks interesting (the only resser I'm the least bit interested in), BUT (a big but) how fun is she really to play without all (or at least most) of the rest of her themed crew (Datsue Ba, Shikome, Jaakuna Ubume, Gaki)? From reading the cards Kirai seems more themed than most masters. Also while you may not need 5 Seishin if you cycle through them quickly, 2 seems on the low side if you take some of the upgrades. DeleteAccount Posted August 6, 2014 Report Share Posted August 6, 2014 Well, Datsue Ba is a lor of help for Kirai, but it ain't required per se, the Gaki are needed since she can summon them with Sundering. Shikome are her themed beaters, but anything that has the spirit tag and punches people works with her (Izamu, Drowned). She can work with an undead heavy crew and a few token spirits and just have her be a ranged blaster that drops the Ikiryo with the drop of a hat, though not sure how effective this would be. So yeah, Kirai should be workable with the current plastics, it's more that you really really need to purchase something else aside from the box to play the standard demos size. Datsue Ba and 2 Gaki would finish rounding it to 30 SS without upgrades, but then, you had to buy two extra boxes. Like stated before, Kirai is just based a lot on "0 cost models" and unlike Jakob for example, her box minion of choice isn't a 7 SS beast which gives mass to the box. Because I seem to recall that it was December or something and that is really bad news for Brewmaster specifically and Gremlins in general. That makes no sense to me, my PDF has 63 pages total, and the ones I mentioned (18, 39, and 60) are 20/63, 41/63, and 62/63. EDIT - Chronicles 12 has 55 pages, I think you are one issue behind. I think that all the guild mimics have a mask...so the fat guy is the sergeant (a guardsman so no mask). But maybe the guy on the first plan is the scribe and the one on the left of Lucius is dashel, so no lawyer but a box of two available later! Have been playing him a fair bit recently and to get more or less a reboot of the metal with few re-sculpts is a bit disappointing. The new VS is miles better and I need a proper Steam Trunk but have no need for a second Specialist/Librarian or third Trapper and don't think I'd use more than the two Freikorpsmen that I have already. Also disappointed that Molly isn't there but that was more hope than anything else, I will be picking up the Kirai box though (and maybe some extras if they are indeed available). Feel for Arcanist players as was pretty sure we'd see at least Ironside make an appearance. This question has been asked every year, and has always come back as no. (although Its only been 3 years of doing the Miss model this way) Its One Miss model per order. I don't know what happens at the convention, I guess if the stand is quiet, they can run through Multiple $100 orders, btu i'd guess if there is a queue, then you'll have to keep joining the back. Most everything that's come out already exists in metal and the GenCon releases this year are more of the same, barring a new totem model for some crews. And while the previous releases have offered updated and interesting re-sculpts, this crop as folks have pointed out are not even hitting that point as regularly anymore via VS and LCB. That's what makes it even more confusing because if all the redone plastics were the same sculpts as the metal it'd make more sense to me that we're seeing them first but clearly they're new sculpts so why the focus on redoing everything old first? I have no insight into the design side of things so there could be tons of behind-the-scenes things causing problems but it's just a little disappointing. (Although not necessarily to my wallet ) To be clear, I'm a huge fan of the game and really my complaint boils down to "Damn it Wyrd I'm not going to get to throw as much of my money at you this year" which isn't really a complaint lol. While I agree with you that they should be prioritizing things that don't exist in metal yet, one thing I have to disagree with you on is the new LCB sculpt. I think that it is much better than the old metal "raise the roof" chompy even if I won't be picking it up in favor of Zoraida (maybe lucius? maybe?). I think it looks a bit similar to the nightmare edition LCB but I think that is fine as the regular metal chompy is nothing like him.
