  1. So I really want to pick up the troubleshooters crew box but my lgs does not have and it does not come up on amazon or in the wyrd store. I know that there was an issue with getting the cards printed for the crew boxes and that probably limited the availability once it came out. But I was wondering if there was any news about when we might be able to buy them from the wyrdstore?
  2. The fun thing is PoI doesn't limit you to just guild/arcanist constructs. There are a great many resser models that are both undead and construct. Honestly though PoB gets access to rotten bells and with Levy they are super great, move your waif/anchors into range of each other, move friendly models out of melee, lure abombs out for use of Levys teleport and just generally force your opponent to be near things he doesn't want to be near. \ Abombs are fine scheme runners 5 inch walk and nothing wants to hang our near them and if they die you can scrap tornado a&d if it is in range.
  3. I would like t o see a follow up vid if you ever got the time. It could talk about counter playing a bit more, luring anchors/waifs away from each other , waif hunting and other ways to kind of play around Levy's style or talking about how to cope against a master that has so much damage potential and threat range. I try to tell people I play against both before and after games how to deal with Levy and they never follow the advice and just say Levy op.
  4. I only really play Levy and Hamlin but I would say Abomination- for attrition games these guys are fantastic. Built in heal, potential to summon new models , denying 0 actions and suits and providing a free damage flip at the end of activation. I honestly think these guys are in the running for best non effigy four stone model Hans- A great big gun and the ability to deny your opponent options through removing upgrades or hurt their hand is really nice Lazurus- The access to blast markers is very nice not to mention any synergy he may have with other constructs you are bringing Lucky Effigy- The ability to provide soft cover and a chance to help generate soul stones is rather nice for four stones Ashes and Dust- The sheer amount of AP advantage this model provides is crazy. It has the potential to summon more models, it splits into two new full activations when it dies and it isn't exactly easy to kill. This model usually requires the full focus of an enemy crew to remove it from play and even than sometimes it worms its way back in.
  5. Hello all, I am trying to figure out what I want to pick up out of the Gen Con releases. I was just wondering has anyone tried splashing in a Lawyer or Dashnell(SP?) into another crew do the models hold weight? I ask because the reason I love the guild is that Death Marshals and Witchling Stalkers preform really well regardless of master and looking at the models in Lucius' crew box I wasn't sure if they were models you could just splash into another crew. If anyone has run a game with some of these guys without Mr. Mask leading the way let me know how you felt about them.
  6. o_o that whiskey golem is so pretty. I don't even play the faction and I want to pick it up. I hope someone more creative than me comes along and posts impressive mods to it that make it look a billion times cooler.
  7. I decided to play Lady J before I even showed up to play. I realized I hadn't played her in forever and wanted to give it a try. Personally I dislike the Ortegas if only because I played against them as guild v guild in 1.5 and they just felt like they were cheap. Not that interesting just a bunch of high stats and companion. I am all about Hoffman and Sonnia though.
  8. Hmm the Strat was stake a claim, we had distract, plant evidence, line in the sand, assassinate and protect territory. I went with protect territory unannounced and assassinate. My opponent went with distract and protect territory. Close deployment. My list was Lady Justice The Judge Peace Keeper Scales of Justice Austringer 2x Death Marshal My opponent had Pandora Candy Kade Teddy Vomit worm (primoridal magic?) 3x Sorrows We got close deployment and i was able to engage and use stand for judgment to pull my model (peace keeper) that would of gotten swarmed on the next turn out of threat range and keep my models within the wp buff aura of the scales. Plus I was able to use mid to low masks to pull distract triggers off of the Austringer by attacking the vomit worm. Pandora would run out of cards and kept getting stuck making terrifying duels against the Peacekeeper. My opponent had a pretty bad run of luck on turns one and two and I was able to kill both candy and Kade with Lady J. On turn three I had the peacekeeper flurry Pandora and got Red joker on damage for 11 on double crit and he flipped weak to prevent.
  9. I am unsure if this is the right place to be posting this but I recently played a game against Pandora as Lady Justice and not just won but beat my opponent handily. The most impressive piece of this game to me was the fact that I was actually able to engage Pandora in melee and kill her. Coming from 1.5 Malifaux this was a great shock back in the day this match up would of been one of the worst ones I could think of for Lady J. Lady Justice was my fist master and while I always liked the art of the crew and the crews core strengths the fact that my local meta was full of Colette,The Dreamer and many other highly mobile crews often meant that I left the table frustrated over my crew's inability to engage in the enemy where I had the advantage. This led me to branch out to other factions to pick up mobile beat stick masters like Mei Feng. Now though I realize that the Death Marshals are a real force to be reckoned with. I am making this post to thank the people who play tested in the wave one beta and to the game designers over at Wyrd for creating a game dynamic where I did not have to rely on a model like Lucius, whom I would run but would always dislike using due to flavor reasons, to feel like my master was capable of preforming her core tasks.

  11. I didn't mean Eternal flame I just am terrible at reading cards. As such I am wondering about the upgrade grab and drop and its interaction via wings of fire with the rail golem. When the rail golem activates it gains burning one what I am curious about is when grab and drop checks for burning? Does it check when the models acitvates or before? Can I layer when things happen since it is my activation and have priority? or does wings of flame require the model to already be on fire before it activates?
  12. I recently picked up the Kaeris box and I am currently tyring to think up fun crew lists for different things. I was wondering if anyone has tried running her with the emberling? Just from a theory stand point it seems pretty solid. I don't know if it is better than the SoC but it definatly feels more thematic.

  14. I wasnt asking for a free e book I would gladly pay for the fluff I just don't want to pay for a bunch of model stats that I either already own or are not interested in running.
  15. Does anyone know if Wyrd is planning on releasing just the fluff at any point? Or even just Ebooks of the current large rule books?
