  1. @Math Mathonwydid a pretty good job at pinpointing what is not working in Bayou. More generally I would say that a lot of our cheap minions have big problems. I mean Bayou player should feel incentive to field a lot of gremlins but right now a lot of 6ss or less minions are just not competitive. In the master that need help list, I would also add Ulix. He was hurt by the summon rules (not as much as Sommer but still) and was not super competitive before that. It's one of the most card hungry master I ever play... He needs to : a) have less TN across his keyword or b) more built in card draw. Also maybe it would prove to strong but accomplice could be really nice on Ulix.
  2. I don't see how it can be difficult to track wich model use misery in a single activation! Removing once per activation would make opening the box (and other mass condition gain) ridiculous. One of Dora power move is ti open the box when opponent models are surrounded by Woe (getting a misery ping for each failed duel). Now she could do it all by herself...
  3. What? We have one of the top 5 upgrade in the game (Ancient Pact). Reflex nerf was fine after all, scamper is no BFJ but still useful. Magic is situational but I'm fine with having one counter pick upgrade. It could be tweak to help our squeeshy minion a little bit. I would like to se counterspell replace by Arcane Shield +2 or an other defensive tech. *** Beside that I think NB is in a good spot. I would really like to see a reworked of all the half-blood versatile... having so many versatile being useless in competitive play feel bad. Some low cost minion could get some love : especially butlunging and hounds. Of all the NB models that exist for more than a year, I think only Candy and BBS could be seen as nerf target. Imo they are still fine, but I must admit that Candy aura can feel oppressive.
  4. I'm just dipping my toes in to Seamus crew. After a few games : 1) Bells NEED a bonus action (remove pounce if in need of balance). 2) Your Emissary is cool, but 0" hurts and the high TN on Exhumation is annoying. Also the lack of self heal make hard to kill less appealing.
  5. I officially bought in to LJ after my love affair with LJ2 on vassal (yes it was only one game, but it was intense). I guess my new year resolution should be to make one coffin markers each month!
  6. Update : The pupetapaocalypse box arrived... and the horsemans are REALLY small 😪. I was expecting something on scale with the puppets hooded that already exist but they're way smaller... it makes no sense for a SZ3 model, especially on a 50mm base. I'm so disappointed 😞
  7. Woe, puppets, Savage and Elite can all have nice stagger list. I really like it with Dora since you actively wan to keep your oponent close to you.
  8. So you want the Emissary in stat/pool where you can justify its 10ss... Mostly centerbrawl. It's still a 2 ap expensive enforcer. If you can't maximize those AP, you're probably better with something else. Obviously terrain help. Big piece of severe terrain are juicy tool for the Emissary. It also thrives with stagger synergy but its effective by itself. It will help with research mission a bit (but this is not enough to hire it). Its a great claim jumper (tanky+planted root). Be careful in vendetta pool since it an easy target (you migh be better with an effigy + upgrade). It's a good model for Leyline. I like him in turf and BTL, but you need a strong pool to hire ot in symbols imo.
  9. Oh yeah! Rider is good with Dora since mobility is not her strong suit. Hina is also my go to beater with Dora. The stat 6 lure, bonus action distracted + stagger when engage (with Vasi) this is a great package.
  10. They all served different purpose. They're all especially good with Z. Emissary is almost a game model and I often play it alongside ruder in a Titania elite crew. With Z, I like to hire rider to get out of corner. It's generally a good beater to give fast to. Hinna is great when you know that your opponent won't have tech against armor. She's a powerful and versatile models. She can be quite tanky especially with Vasi as a support. Imo all 3 are the cream of the crop of Neverborn versatile.

  12. It's true that the living only part of their healing is annoying. Preparation is a great trigger though... Most of the time I summon a mannequin to protect Z herself (and maybe a backfield Bokor). With a mannequin nearby, Z is almost unkillable. I forgot to mention Voodoo Doll... Obviously it's not you main plan (if it is, you're better with Z1) but if you have a juicy Mojo target within 12 of Z, it's often the right play to summon the little guy.
  13. Dashel could be a mad cook (like a blood thirsty Gordon Ramsey) with all his staff. I would like to see Bass as a Legion Etrangere captain (or something like that within the King empire theme). Sonia as Jeanne D'arc / holy crusaders crew Hoffman as Tank Girl Lucius and crew as a comedia del arte theatre's crew (they keeps the mask). Perdita and al. as a rockband I like both idea above for LJ and Nellie
  14. My top summon with Z2 : Mannequin (by far) intrepid (generally good) Arcane/Shadow/Carrion (utility) hogepodge (rarely since Mannequin/Intrepid are better).

  17. I pretty much disagree with all of your statements @ooshawnbut I really like that you take the time to verbalize what you see as pro and con in this game... Not everybody are looking for the same game experience: you're a timmy 😋 (and this is totally ok)! I think @RisingPhoenixas one of the best solutions : diversity of game mods are the way to go. That give a lot of design space to Wyrd and could help to please people that are seeking other type of game experience. Having said that, I think classic Faux, at its core (a 1 vs 1 complex strategic games) lean toward a competitive/spike way of playing. And I really hope that Wyrd keep it that way. I actually hope the walk the extra miles to do more ex-post playtesting so we avoid Unbalanced stuff at release (their fail rate is a bit high for my taste with the titles release). Still if Wyrd manage to please the widest base of gamers possible without compromising what make Faux great, it's better for everyone since it means the future of the game is bright (I don't want to have the perfect competitive game if it's played only by a handful of power gamer worldwide).
  18. NB got a lot of awesome models! I hope the quality of the starter models will be better (I doubt it). Why march though... It would have been perfect for Xmass.
  19. There plenty of cards with no subtypes (see Nighmare). Usually it represents spirit of some kind. Note that those models don't drop any marker when they died.

  21. I preordered the Horseman Puppets and I have the special release puppet set... So I think I can convert Puppet Seamus and Puppet Hooded to go with the other 4 horseman. Than I have to choes between : LJ, Judge, Vick or Misaki to be transform in to Hollow Waif and I'll have a full Puppet Leveticus crew 😀
  22. Hinna can declare trigger on her orginal charge and on the first disengage, but can't on the disengage generate by the ensorcel trigger. At most you can have 5 attacks with her.
  23. You don't always need the severe... but it's true that most of the time doing a regular Hex attack is better. With grootslang you can do 1/2/3 + slow + pushing the obey model wich can come up from time to time.
  24. @Adranis right, but obeying en Ennemy model engaged by one of your wicked model (Hina or grootslang) is still a good play since you control both flip.
