  1. Nekima is surprisingly hard to play IMO, and is extremely unforgiving - small mistakes punish the Nekima player a lot. If you get a chance, you might also see if you can ever watch some of Kharnage's games on Youtube. He is probably one of the best Nekima players in the world (that we know of). Although don't watch him playing against Cadmus, he's a bit on tilt those games 😜

  3. Won 7-1. Activation control (molly and/or killing doves before they activate) + Seamus + Terrorize + card draw = almost impossible to score leylines against this build. Was very brutal, but my opponent had a great attitude. Really pleasant person to play against!
  4. I'm curious as to how many people have played her with the new rules. I find her pretty wild still.
  5. Or suggest that tech to your opponent and level up both your games! Nekima is quite fragile, so she uses: Superior positioning (mobility and 2" engagement) Activation control (killing stuff before it activates) Inhuman reflexes Stones to reduce damage Healing To stay alive. It really takes a lot of work to abuse all those.
  6. One thing to keep in mind is that Nekima is so mobile that she chose to risk taking those 5 attacks from the Katashiro. Also, you typically have 'inhuman reflexes' stapled to her, so once you cheat you would have lost your second attack. But yeah, Katashiro are pretty good. Nekima is amazing, but requires a huge amount of finesse.

  8. It is pretty close to a 1/3 chance to fail, which is quite high for my taste, but I suppose it does come down to the strength of what you're doing with the rest of the package. Whisper may make more sense than GST, since GST could be a bit redundant. But I'd rather have an upgrade on Reva.
  9. Also, compare using a 5 on a lampad to a 6 to do Ride With Me on Dead Rider. A good model with a Target Number is fine (Dead Rider, Calypso, etc). A bad model without a target number is fine (bone pile). A mediocre model with a target number is not my cup of tea in this crew xD
  10. Well, Reva is a super card-tight crew. Having an important target number disqualifies most models from my Reva crews xD
  11. So I took Lampads out for a spin, and here's my impressions: Still need a target number to get their full movement a turn, so... Still kind garbage. But they're basically immortal with a GST and burning since they are so hard to kill now. But immortal models don't really win games... But it is exciting they at least have a defined role! Immortal minions of mediocrity. Anyone have different experiences with them?
  12. Oh good point, but also dreamer can still summon backup so the point remains. A summoners baseline crew should be weaker than other keywords.
  13. Sonnia and Kirai both seem to fundamentally alter everything about how the crew works, so I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of then are remakes of how the crew works.
  14. I think when you're in combat and you get to rearrange your whole crew and get a bunch of WP duels it will be even more devastating.
  15. Also worth noting she has a useful trigger on every suit for her attacks. No matter what high card you have in your hand, you can get value out of channeling it through Serena.
  16. Molly will lose constructive criticism and her two card draw abilities, completely altering the identity of the crew. In exchange, she will become a Don't Mind Me scheme runner like Nellie (and can be backed up by crooligans). That's my primary prediction. Secondary prediction is she can use the Gorgon's powers to resurrect things, either summoning models or re-summoning stuff that already died?
  17. Also dreamer can summon more stitched, so if they were comparable then Dreamer would be pretty broken xD I find the reason to run dreamer is when you want strong attrition, like on Break The Line. He is the most powerful thing I have played into that strategy so far.
  18. Yeah, I think the standard will be hitting for 3 (one model summons one other), but that is enough to destroy almost anything.
  19. This is amazing! To some degree I wonder if just Izamu's Reliquary would be enough. That way you can start wrecking on turn 1 with McMourning. Then when they finally have him under control, Yan Lo Arrives. Manos' reliquary doesn't seem that necessary (since McMourning often effectively has regen 6). I think I'd probably prioritise Chiaki's or Yin's Reliquary if possible (so he has manipulative or terrifying). Chiaki's reliquary can also remove distracted which can be pretty clutch. But there's all sorts of ways to run it I imagine!
  20. In the new errata-ed core rules, you cannot interact on the turn you're summoned and you do not count for friendly schemes and strats the turn you're summoned. Gaining Grounds 2 has an additional rule - summons cannot interact with strategy MARKERS at all (but corrupted leylines is still fair game the turn after they're summoned).
  21. Yeah, she is really bottom of the barrel now, but at least can still score half of breakthrough xD Would be sad to Som'er get the same treatment, but I suppose they could put "ignore insignificant and their summon token".

  23. Yeah, when people build to counter Ivan he struggles. Against that gravity well I think you have to pivot into just being a min-3 beater. But also it is hard to keep a mobile crew like Tara's in the Gravity Well. Keep an eye out for summoning opportunities (and of course a model like Nothing Beast can't easily be protected by the aura). For Archivist, you really need to get value out of the +2 initiative to be able to get full value out of the model IMO. Although also with its leap it can swap to scheme running pretty easily.
  24. Another way of thinking of this core box is over 40 wounds in one box, making it one of the best value in the game 😜
