Thanks for finding all that. Can you just confirm where the 20 Scrip limitation comes from on the starting gear? I missed that and so started the game with a weapon, modded with my 10 starting Scrip, and as much armor as I could wear, and I feel pretty OP. Definitely need to pare things down at the start of our next session.

It doesn't mention cost, I don't think, but I don't have the rulebook so I can't check. I think it just said "a Close Combat weapon and any amor". And I thought you just get 10 Scrip to buy gear...?

If it has to hit the cost restriction, why point it out at all as special starting gear for the class? Can't anyone buy 10 scrip's worth of starting gear? Sorry, I'm still confused.

Hey all, I'm playing a Guard in my first-ever TTB campaign. It says Guards can start with a Close Combat weapon and "any armor". Does this mean any one piece of armor, or as much armor as the Guard wants? Thanks!

Just chiming in to say that as a Molly player who's had Archie for a while, and who never bought the Undying box, this thread makes me happy 😁 Speaking of the Undying box, I just noticed that the Mourners have Revenant. I don't think you need to leap right into being a henchman, as that comes with its own set of responsibilities and whatnot. If you have two crews, you can host an open demo, and just "manage" the game while new people play. That's how I got into it.

I'd go with what the rule says and ignore the poorly-chosen examples.

"Another model" means "not the target," and "other than this model" means "not the caster".

It's already been explained to you why this is wrong. MLS may target a model that is: within 3" of the initial target not the initial target not Queeg It's about as cut-and-dry as it gets. "Another model" in this trigger means a model other than the original target. The trigger is then further restricted to exclude Queeg as a potential option.

I'm wondering if Ancient Evil isn't Minako and her summons? Is the Wanyudo ancient? I'm hoping they release her as a separate pack, as I'd love to just buy the 10T half of that story box. Light in the Dark might be Adze plus some other glowy shit.

AFAIK they changed this policy so that it now only applies to boxes of old models with some new ones sprinkled in. Wyrd is counting resculpts as "new," so the whole Lucius box would be "new" and so no special orders for you. Shitty if you like your 2E Lucius, but it makes sense from a business standpoint.

Pre-ordered with them in June, our order also still shows as "out of stock".

On that thought, it might be a nice direction to think about more of the masters who aren't getting redone boxes, but who have either changed significantly gameplay-wise or storywise. Like you did with Alt Reva, introducing the fire element that now characterizes her 3E theme. Kaeris as the full-on leader of the Arcanists (she is, right?), while McCabe might have shifted his look to something more frontiersey, as he's transitioned from the Guild to the Explorer's Society. Ironsides as the new head of M&SU, like this: Shenlong and crew redone as homages to various kung-fu movies (Drunken Master, Enter the Dragon...) Mah Tucket as a chef. Zipp in a fully mechanized Iron Skeeter suit -- like a tiny Iron Man, but with Skeeter wings. On a related note, Von Schill as a steampunk War Machine, with all sorts of guns and missiles attached to his armor. Philip and the Nanny as the Headless Horseman (somehow). A female Sebastian to complement Dr. Dufresne and Rowan Nilsson. Asura Roten as a full-on necromancer, calling a zombie out of the ground, with some badass necromantic effects. Brewmaster as Dewmaster (Mountain Dew sponsorship pending). Miss Pell, alt Sandeep (or another male spellcasting character). Miss Guided, alt Pathfinder Miss Direct, alt Midnight Stalker Miss Creant, alt Seamus (I guess we can forget about this one now! ) I can't think of a name, but a female Ferdinand Vogel that transforms into a werecat. Pand(or)a, a fluffy panda wearing Pandora's clothes. Miss Siles, an alt Katanaka Sniper but with a rocket launcher. Some gender-swapping in the Ten Thunders would be great, in general. Lots of the minions are all guys. Archers, Brothers, all the Monks, Samurai, even all the Oni minions. Miss Shapen could be a Jorogumo. Another alt Ototo called Ohoho (or even Ho Ho Ho), and he's dressed as Santa, for a special Christmas release. I love the alt masters who add totally new characters into the lore, but it's hard to come up with those without knowing more about the characters you have. Maybe some alt masters who are TOS or TTB characters?
