  1. Looks amazing Any chance the glass is out of translusent plastic??
  2. @Octavus Thank you! Yeah, I should`ve done a couple of close ups, but I was afraid, that I`ll not make it on time.. And it was like 5 in the morning, so I`ve stopped thinking clearly for quite a while by then @Whirler Thanks!!! I tried a bit of a picturesque approach here, thanks for noticing @glamage I`m glad you like it, thank you! I doubt it would ever beat the popularity of TEDDY (but maybe it would`ve been good then, I wouldn`t be against detail expert neveroddoreven) I had intended before to snowball themes as I go along, but now I think it might make no sence to do so (as it will turn into chaos), or I`ll just lack the skill to do it.. we`ll see!
  3. Love it The whole piece is wonderful, and the paintjob is so smooth!
  4. Great to see, that`s it`s all good anyway The shape of the gel is better, than if it was just a rectangle, IMHO! And a very lovely paint job to boot! Will we see Molly in round 3?
  5. I like this work tremendously.. The tones are just so pleasing to the eye, so peaceful!
  6. This is one of the best works this round, IMHO. How did you end up in Bronze is a mystery to me.
  7. It's the plate(among other details)! It looks like gjel' + We like to hang stuff on walls that seemingly doesn't belong there...
  8. Thank you it is indeed heavily inspired by this masterpiece! when I was looking through the miniatures I have, that I can use for another idea, I stumbled upon this mini of a girl with a cat. It clicked with me, I saw humility and pride at the same time in her, and the image of her in Tarakanovas place appeared I was very moved by the Flavitskiy's painting, when I saw it in the Tretyakovskaya gallery as a kid. So I decided to do my own take on the scene.
  9. Thank you very much, lads! I appreciate that a lot
  10. Love it! Especially the Skink's cute face and paws- great detail and colors! :3 Damn, I'm paired with a freaking tough opponent 0.o
  11. After a week of deciding on the idea, my choice fell on __1824__4m21cm__ I decided, that while alternatives weren`t bad at all, this choice would serve the theme the best. Water itself is the antagonist. For this round I tried a more picturesque approach to the style of painting Why this girl is in the cell (and who is she) is for you to find out (I left a hint or two) The whole diorama proved to be much harder to paint, than I thought: I finished with only 3 hours to spare!
  12. From the album: 1824_4m21cm_test

Checking, how it will look on the website I`ll upload WiPs later on!
  13. Good stuff! I love the rain effect! How did you do the "water sticks", if it`s not a secret?
  14. I have to agree with Stark here Damn fine job! And the water skiing guy is a cherry on top! Poor shark though, being sliced in half and all
  15. I really like the way the moonlight and lantern light is done Also, I keep wondering, what gave the Bear away...
  16. This has to be the most original idea of this round, and with a such high level of execution- wow !
  17. One of the best glow effects I`ve seen! And the composition is lovely
  18. It`s been said already numerous times, but I`ll have to join the crowd: the atmosphere created here is phenomenal!
  19. The whole diorama looks extremely realistic, and I really enjoy the natural pallete used on it The way the shadow fades away is magnificent
