  1. Why has no one yet made mention to the fact that it is an obvious tribute to the Eastwood character in the classic Spaghetti western trilogy of Fistfull of Dollars, For a few Dollars More and The Good, The Bad and The Ugly? So now I have to buy another box and then the seperate models
  2. Give him a whirl and let us know. I have thought of it as well, just can't afford to buy another model (just bought/ordered a mess load today... Wyrd does it again...lol).
  3. So what I'm am reading (and with which I agree!) is that Sue is a strong support piece, regardless of which strategy and schemes are being played.
  4. So with the reveal of the most recent Arcanist master, I was wondering how many will be intergrating the guitar playing, gun totting Man in Black in to their crews. I know that I have begun to put him into more of my Jack builds, but I would like your opinion on him with other masters/match ups and what strategy and scheme you like him for.
  5. I used to have a "cuddle" football I would cuddle with when I was younger...
  6. I didn't even notice the cuddle of cuddle. Noooooooo
  7. He's a really strong addition to the Arcanist faction! If he has a decent blast spell, does he take Rasputina's spot as Arcanist blaster? I think Sue's value keeps rising higher with each reveal.
  8. Don't forget that the Effigy models are constructs. Brutal and Hodgepodge on Levi made me throw up a little in my mouth...?
  9. In particular, Lazurus with just about any other construct can lead to interesting combos. In general, figure out you what play style you will use with him and tailor his crew to your needs. Levi does what he does all on his own, his crew is what will get your strats and schemes done.
  10. For outcasts, get Von Schil's box set (Hired Guns). Trapper and Librarian are going to be staples for most Outcast crews. Vanessa and the Malifaux Child will also be useful in a Victoria's crew. A good beat stick model will also be useful, Lazarus, Bishop. Learn how to "slingshot" the Victoria's (it will help you understand their synergy), just remember that as you get better, so will your opponents, at which time the "slingshot" will not be so effective.
  11. Well that will help, as I need the scrip. I need to take my girl Dita out on the town. She has me under the gun for messing with a ginger at her work!
  12. I see, now I think I understand your crew build. Leveticus is going to do the hiring, the Valedictorian is going to do all the field work. This will free up Leveticus to pursue his scientific endeavors, while the pale Rider is the messenger go between the field testing Of Leveticus' creations and the Valedictorian' field reports.
  13. So the base crew for a Vic's list: Ash, Blood, Vanessa, Librarian. Librarians can 1Ap heal Vanessa, which in turn heals all other sisters. It keeps Vanessa out of the scrum and where she wants to be, the centerline of the board.
  14. I'm not hating on the Guilty. One suits my play style fine.
  15. I'm going to put placards on the Guilty saying not to lump themselves and the Lady with Montressor. No one should play Jack's box crew as is. You only ever really need one Guilty, unless you play all tormented (which doesn't give you a good beater model!). Lady Ligiea is situationally great, but not necessarily needed. Montressor is a model that is tormented by his own conflicting abilities. However, even he will get you VP every now and then. Pride suffers from Montressor Syndrome. His abilities conflict with each other, making him much more of a situational piece. If his Ca attack had a card draw trigger, I think he would be better off. Dont forget the power of Lust. TN 13 or Slow is great. Particularly if you Gulliotine a minion that hasn't activated yet. If your opponent knows about Lust, he will have to make the choice of activating that minion or losing it if Lust goes next.
  16. Jack is the broken rhythm master. He wants to control your opponents AP use. He wants everyone around him to feel his torment. He wants his crew to obey him at least once, and wil push those that feel his pain to his best advantage. Fluffy expose aside, Jack is a master that you can build a crew around your play style. If you want to smash face, a Guilty and some big time beaters will do the job well. Guerrilla warfare more your style? A Guilty and some ranged with a quick beater will do well. Want to be hated? Hanged followed by a Nurse will make sure you lose friends. You will find that Jack can have multiple answers for any action your opponent does. It's easy to go for the crazy awesomeness option. However, that auction will not always catch you the VP to help you win the game. if you're playing casual, or just trying to learn the intricacies of your crew, then go for the crazy awesomeness. Who knows, maybe after practicing that crazy awesomeness a couple times and I'll help you get VP in a game.
  17. Can't forget about Killjoy!
  18. Hamelin, Rusty Alyce w/ Oathkeeper, Desolate Soul, rat engine.
  19. Who says you have to use her abilities to use her threat perception? If your opponent is singling her out, use that to your advantage. Turn their tactics, use her as bait, keep her hidden for a turn and bust her out the next.
  20. If you used it to learn crew mechanics and synergy, then it wasn't a mistake. Each faction has that one or two masters that demand a good amount of time to learn them. Then you have Outcasts, with nearly every master being complex and needing time to understand their interactions.
  21. I know it sounds like a cop out of an answer, but I field what I believe to be the best answer for my opponent, my play style and the strategy and schemes. Is my opponent declaring Resser's, Taelor is in. Goblins? Lazarus. That being said, I do have a base crew of a Guilty, a Trapper, Sue and 1-2 X-Roads 7. ita not ultra competitive, but it is fun. And really surprising when things click.
  22. I completely agree. If the map doesn't have good cover, Im less likely to use her, as she does have a big target on her. But if I can assure myself that I can keep her Safe and usable until turn three, she is in my list. One of the things that I found about any Daw list, is that everything in the crew can do something that will disrupt the opponents plans. So basically, I've given my opponent a number of bad choices to go after. Not matter their choice, Daw is going to punish them for it.
  23. So I'll play something similar: Jack, Guilty, Taelor/Rusty Alyce, Sue, Trapper, Envy/Sloth, Greed, Lust Lady Ligea on occasion that I can protect her. Jakunna and/or Hanged if I want to really tarpit my opponent. Upgrades to taste and a medium cache.
  24. I have only used him once, so this isn't a very strong opinion, I don't feel that he is a good fit for Jack. Unless you can run a very highly elite crew, he is very expensive for the corner case situations that he's good for. Hainlen might be a better fit for him,due to his summoning.
  25. While not the beater type, a Flesh Construct running around can be quite a target of opportunity (because of Reactivate), opening up your other models to accomplish thier tasks.
