  1. I tend to enjoy running bayou 2card heavy lists with somer, and keep the threat of hand discarding on the enemy leader. It is (maybe unsurprisingly) strong againts crews with lots of actions with relatively high TN's, like lilith for example. Now, getting LoS to the enemy master might need some creativity on your part if they suspect what you're going for
  2. I didn't even remember Ulix would also be affected by it because I never played Lenny with Ulix. My Ulix lists don't usually have 9SS to spare on it. I'd rather have 3 extra SS for the suit when I really need it, with all the versatility a SS has (extra card draw, positive flips, etc) than another 40mm base clumped up with ulix, 3 markers and 2 50mm pigs around. My biggest hurdle playing Ulix was always getting the whole positioning and activation order right.
  3. Since you mentioned you enjoy playing Ulix and I happen to play it quite a bit. I will drop a couple random tips below: Corn husks + piglets = free VP in a bunch of schemes. Distract, cursed object becomes super easy because you can walk + charge + interact(0) to distract them. Or charge + interact + go into defensive stance. They will become a pain to get away from, and you cannot remove distract while engaged if I recall correctly. Also, I try to do that to high profile targets, because the 2AP to remove the distract becomes so much harder to justify by the opponent. Don't forget that just because you *can* do interacts as (0) doesn't mean you *have* to. In other words, you can (0) drop a marker, (1) walk/charge and then (1) drop another marker. It took me quite some time to get the activation order right in ulix crews. You must do the whole "drop 3 markers" 1st, then make sure you have the big pigs close by for summoning and rides, but not so close you cannot move them around each other, etc. Merris Lacroix is a great help for summoning Ulix. If your 1st turn hand does not have a 12 for a warpig summon, you will have a bad game. Therefore I stone 1st turn if I dont have one and, if I still don't have one, I use Merris to take 2 cards and put 3 on the top of the deck. I also use her to drop 1 or 2 markers for the 1st turn warpig summon. If you can summon a warpig + 2 piglets on 1st and 2nd turn, your opponent will feel overwhelmed. This is actually the reason I stopped playing summoner Ulix, because my opponents were getting too frustrated playing vs it, and I didn't want to turn new players away from the game so soon Penelope's movement to pigs aura is amazing. +1 to wk to every pig in a 6' bubble is amazing Beware Wp targetting attacks. I found the hard way the whole ulix summoning crew sucks big time vs Wp attacks. That whole thing said, I always pick schemes that benefit from massive AP advantage for me. In other words, either interact schemes or scheme marker dropping schemes. That way you get to put enormous pressure on your opponent every time you drop a marker or do an interact, because he must spend the same AP or more to counter your move. That said, I dont find this a killy list, despite what people say. You spend too many resources just summoning and I feel that pigs need too much of a synergy bubble in order to do good damage.
  4. I think wizuriel was just making a pun ("hog wash") since math also used the word "sloppy", which is pretty funny considering we're talking pigs here
  5. My most memorable moment so far was having gracie down to 1 wound engaged with peacekeeper and Francisco Ortega. Her only chance to survive that was to kill a unit (it resets her wounds and finishes her activation, but both the peacekeer and Francisco were at full health. Well, I flipped rams and my opponent could not cheat a higher card, but I was still on double negatives I think. However, I flipped a red joker, which meant the brute , so I just had Gracie gobble up Francisco in 1 hit and falling asleep at full health I still lost the game badly since Lady J just murdered the rest of the crew, but the look of diebelief in my opponent when that happened made the whole game super worth it. It was that game that got Gracie the respect she deserved from the Guild
  6. That is awesome! I had this idea that enforcers were all rare 1 and all had unique names, (like gracie, burt, lenny, etc), but taxidermists just proved me wrong Thanks for clarifying that to me
  7. I checked your playlist. Seems great for painting (although I was hearing it while working). Takes your mind to the right setting
  8. Can you use upgrades on taxidermists? I thought they were only minions
  9. A quick note on piglets. They are amazing vs shooty models, but melt to wp attacks! I had a tough time against rezzers with piglets (and lenny lol) because of that. However, have a pig charge Perdita (which only has a shooting attack) followed by def stance and see your opponent spend tons of AP just to move it away. Somer was my first master and still is my goto master. He is super versatile, summon or no summon. The best tips have already been given to you (focus on bayou gremlins), but I'll add a couple tips: - abuse your bayou two card ability. In heals, in shots, in dmg, etc. That's the best way to remember the abilities exist! - Somer's ability to make the both you and the opponent discard their hands is way more powerful than it seems because: 1) Even if you both lose your hands you have bayou 2 card in half your crew 2) You can use it as a "bluff": cast it and if you're winning the flip, your opponent will very much probably use its higher card to cheat (because if he loses, all the hand will go away). that way you get to keep your hand and your opponent loses his best card - Somer's shotgun has ridiculous damage with the rams trigger. 8 dmg on a severe with double blasts is an absurd amount of dmg. And although it requires some good cards in your hand, it's not that hard to pull off. Just aim for miniatures with low df

    Ulix questions

Just like Dogmantra said, the extra unit is the limited edition bayou gremlin. At least that's the one I got too
  11. This is a topic of great interest to me. I am going to get Ulix when it comes out, so I've started playing some henchman games with Old Major and piglets (im using gracie as a proxy for it). In theory Ulix can be quite mobile and tough as long as he's surrounded by pigs, but what you're saying is that he is best played as a (mean) summon machine. So one should consider Ulix as a support master then?
  12. Thanks for the quick and detailed reply. I was actually using a couple gremlins and I noticed how effective a gremlin is dropping schemes! Never really considered the effectiveness of pigs for distract schemes, but it makes sense that they're so good! Which brings me to another question: If you kill a distracted enemy, does it still count towards the scheme?
  13. So, I have started playing with piglets and old major, but without upgrades. I have found that, despite the good mobility, I end up not being able to drop or destroy schemes with my piglets because there is almost always a legal target for a charge and after that I'm in combat. Even after using the push trigger I still have to charge because there is a legal charge target. Am I doing it wrong? Is there a way to rely on pigs for scheme running or should I just keep a couple bayour grems and let the pigs do the combat? Will the corn husks upgrade help on that?
